Appointment at 5 pm. I get home early on a busy day and am waiting. No news till 5.10, so I call. Sounds confused and eventually replies with an unconvincing 'on my way'. After 30 mins, I call again and he disconnects. The end.

Shin did an amazing job to replace the leaking plastic tubing to copper for the built-in Refrigerator. He had to go under the house. He was fast, kept the work area clean and charged the amount quoted. This is the third time we've called him , he knows what he is doing. We have been satisfied after each repair. He has a heavy accent, but with a little patience, he was able to get his point across.

This guy is as good as they get! The only reason I almost didn't give him 5 stars is that he's a bit hard to communicate with. But the immediate trust he conveys, makes this less important. He got back to me immediately when I called and we scheduled a visit just a few hours later. I had a blockage that I suspected was closer to the street and a large tree than I would like to think about. My shower drain was coughing up water and filling the basin. I didn't dare to use water in the house and was glad to see him arrive so quickly. He is nimble ( was on top of my roof before I could open the ladder) , with a very down-to-business, no nonsense attitude. He's not a man of a whole lot of words, he keeps it short and to the point. He put 90 meters of snake down my toilet and seemed to solve the problem for now...with a month guarantee and referrals if the snake job doesn't solve the issue. I couldn't have done better.

Shin is outstanding his responsiveness, professionalism and skill in work. Not only did he fix our broken front lawn pipe bust but also ensured that the pipes withi the home and sprinklers were working. Shin made extra 2 trips to ensure everything was working post the fix. I would strongly recommend him for his job. There may be some language barrier but he never gets frustrated so I would not let that come in between - explain patiently the problem and he works his magic!

I called them and Shin was here in 45 mins. They are very reasonable and honest. Charged the minimum i.e. 65$.
On top of it also gave additional 1-month warranty for the fix.

I came home to discover my kitchen sink was backed up, it was 4:30PM and I really wanted to find someone to come out ASAP to avoid hanging around next morning waiting for a plumber. I called Sunnyvale Plumbing based on the yelp reviews, Shim showed up 45 min later. His English is not great but he got to work immediately, he had all the right equipment and had the sink in working order in no time. He did a thorough job and charged $75, which was a great price for great service. Very nice man, some of these snarky reviews are disrespectful to this man (racist in nature) and should be removed from Yelp as a violation of their guidelines. To yelp's credit I did flag one of the reviews and they removed it. I would definitely call Shim again.

Seriously, someone left a one star review because his voicemail was full? Let's be fair and reasonable, people. This is someone's business you're messing with. Go see my review for Tungsten Plumbing if you want to see what a one star review is. I had to use them for a project only because the gentleman at Sunnyvale has a language barrier that I was concerned about for that particular project. A year later I am still kicking myself for not using him.

I have been using Sunnyvale Plumbing for a decade. He is honest and fair. In my first encounter, I had first brought out two other plumbers who could not unclog a pipe. One spent an hour and broke his snake. He wanted to charge me for the honor, then come back THE NEXT DAY with another snake and charge me more. I got in a fight and had him leave. Sunnyvale came out, gave me both a time and cost quote. The clog took four times his time estimate, BUT he abided by his quote. THAT'S when I knew I had found a plumber I would be using for the rest of my time here.

I have a home where the previous owners did some creative piping (I'm slowly fixing that) and a daughter with long hair. I have needed Sunnyvale Plumbing out many times over the years and he has always been quick and cost-efficient. He was just out yesterday and only charged me $50 for unclogging a drain. You tell me where you can find another plumber who charges that. He suggested other work he could do that was more, but I declined...what business doesn't try to get other work? It's just good business and if I had taken some of his advice years ago (I'm moving soon now), I might have saved myself some visits over the years.

Called Sunnyvale plumbing for a leak on the washing machine faucet from the wall. It was nothing urgent. The plumber arrived at the time specified. But like someone else commented, the pricing is very inconsistent. He saw the leak and quoted me 85. Then when he started to unscrew the faucet he saw that the whole faucet had to be unscrewed - so then he quoted me 100. Then after unscrewing the faucet he saw that the pipe was rusted and needed to be replaced, so then he quoted me 150. While I got the job done from him, the price kept going up on minor new discoveries. I agree that until it is opened the plumber may not know what to expect but I recommend he wait until he diagnoses what the problem is before quoting. He did a good job in the end, and I may use him again but not a loyal customer.

Hi guy is supper fast and the first few times we called him out it was great. Problem with this guy is that he has very inconsistent pricing. When he quotes you a price..it's not like this job will cost $75. He'll look at you and say $80 ok...as if to wait for your reaction or wait for you to bargain with him. the first few times his pricing was reasonable, then on subsequent visits, it got more expensive for seemingly easy jobs.

I may still call him, but i'm not longer a loyal customer because of my last experience. I'll be putting future jobs out for bid.
