Called Sunnyvale plumbing for a leak on the washing machine faucet from the wall. It was nothing urgent. The plumber arrived at the time specified. But like someone else commented, the pricing is very inconsistent. He saw the leak and quoted me 85. Then when he started to unscrew the faucet he saw that the whole faucet had to be unscrewed - so then he quoted me 100. Then after unscrewing the faucet he saw that the pipe was rusted and needed to be replaced, so then he quoted me 150. While I got the job done from him, the price kept going up on minor new discoveries. I agree that until it is opened the plumber may not know what to expect but I recommend he wait until he diagnoses what the problem is before quoting. He did a good job in the end, and I may use him again but not a loyal customer.

Hi guy is supper fast and the first few times we called him out it was great. Problem with this guy is that he has very inconsistent pricing. When he quotes you a price..it's not like this job will cost $75. He'll look at you and say $80 ok...as if to wait for your reaction or wait for you to bargain with him. the first few times his pricing was reasonable, then on subsequent visits, it got more expensive for seemingly easy jobs.

I may still call him, but i'm not longer a loyal customer because of my last experience. I'll be putting future jobs out for bid.

Did not show up for scheduled appointmentt, did not call, and office does not answer the phone. Don not hire this plumber!

Called this plumber around 1 pm on a Saturday and scheduled an appointment for 5 pm. 5:20 pm rolls around and we follow-up with a phone call. The same person answered the phone and, he didn't apologize, make excuses or even address the tardiness, he merely stated the plumber was on his way, would arrive in 10 minutes and hung up. At 6:30 pm, we called again, same person answered and we could hear much background noise, but, he never spoke into the phone. After about 5-10 ""hellos"" and ""are you there?"" we quit our efforts.

Punctual. Arrived on time and gave me a very reasonable price upfront. Had to take out the toilet, got the toy out and I wasn't broke afterwards.
This would've easily cost twice with Roto-rooter.

Very good service - came quickly and got the stuff done in 30 minutes for a clogged line near my kitchen and washing machine. He shared his daughter's violin performance on YouTube - Elizabeth Aoki. Can't believe he earns to provide best education for a very talented violinist.

Yes the Plumber is Korean and maybe in his sixties and his English is not the best, but seriously docking the man for all of this is unfair as he is good, reliable and tries to do the best that he can. I too found it a bit hard to communicate with him and had to be patient and ask him to repeat how he was doing things or also what could be done, to my full satisfaction Shim the plumber did an excellent job and was very fair on the price. I called around 11:30 on a Friday and got an estimate by 2:30 same day and he was able to repair a cracked copper pipe under my house that had a serious leak, work was done within an hour and a half and he also cleared a slow drain during the time allotted, my boyfriend was present and said he will also be using him soon. Honestly people do not judge Shim on his race and age, this is very unfair and if you were a foreigner you would hate being treated and written about in such a mean way. It would be different if the man was crooked and unreliable and evasive, but all being said he is an honest man and I will surely use him again in the future and refer him to my clients, since I am also a business owner. Thanks SHIM and thanks YELP for the lead.

I needed to replace my kitchen faucet and repair some leaks below my kitchen sink. I called in to schedule an on-site estimate and was pleased to see that it would be free and that the plumber could swing by later that day. The quoted price was reasonable and the plumber was able to fix the problem in a couple of hours. The plumber understood the problem quickly, explained to me exactly what he was going to do, and then got to work.

Overall, I'm really happy with the work and would recommend this business to anyone in need of a plumber.

Had some recent plumbing issues and found this gem! He is local, answered the phone, and was here at the time he promised. This appears to be a one man operation. It is no-frills, yet effective, and honest. English may not be his first language, but his work is thorough and methodical. I would recommend this business to anyone in need of a plumber. Very reasonable prices too...
