Could not ask for a better plumber experience.

Like an idiot, I overloaded our garbage disposal and suddenly the sink started backing up with... backed up sink water. Gross.

I did my due diligence and Googled around in an attempt to make sure I tried all the things short of actually disassembling the pipes under the sink. No dice.

I called Shin at Sunnyvale Plumbing (though the business card he gave me says Ace 1 Plumbing) and he responded **immediately** ... he said he was at a job but he could call me back in about an hour. He called me back in about 20 minutes. He said he'd be over in about 30 minutes. He was over in 7 minutes. He came in, looked at the situation, quoted me a very reasonable amount ($100 for plumbing is pretty darn reasonable) and then he set to work.

Less than 30 minutes later he had disassembled the whole underside of the sink, cleaned it thoroughly, and reassembled the whole thing. Seriously. Fast enough that I was still able to go out to dinner with friends! Amazing.

My Mom had a bad plug at the drain out of her kitchen sink. It was so bad the water would come out of the wall by her bathroom. We called a plumber to come snake it. They did and it worked for a couple of days and they had to come back again. They ran a camera that cost her $400 and said they would need to cut up concrete and it would cost her between $5k to $26k!!! She is 92 years old and on a very limited income.
I went to Yelp to get some different quotes, I came across Mr. Shin who had very good reviews. I called him to see if he could come give me a quote, it was almost 5pm, I figured it would be the next day. Nope, he was over at my Mom's house in 1/2 hour.
His English is not that great, so it was hard to understand him.
But I gotta tell you, he located the problem real quick and told me it would cost $380 and he should have it done in 2 hours!! I didn't believe it, but he did it!
Mr. Shin was very professional, very fast, showed me everything he was gonna do, and did a little more without charging my Mom for it.
I would recommend him very highly!!!
I give him a very solid 10 & all A++++++++!!!

I called Sunnyvale Plumbing to replace some copper piping for a water softener that had a pinhole leak. Mr Shin showed up promptly at the appointed time.

Communication was a little challenging, but workable. Worst case, I would assume you can call his colleague at the main number (I didn't need to).

While he was here I had him do a few extra items (replacing old shut off valves with 1/4 turn ones; snake out a slow running toilet). The repairs were done quickly and professionally. He is very thorough and leaves the workspace clean.

The rates were very fair, they came on short notice, and and the work was well done. What more could you ask for?

I'm very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

Let me set the stage. The night before New Year's Eve my wife and I heard loud persisting high pitch swishing sounds from under the kitchen. I immediately checked out the crawl space, and I saw a large amount of water pooling under my house. The swishing sounds were very loud but I couldn't identify the leak source given the large amount of water.

We were worried because we were going to throw a New Year's Eve party the next day, but we weren't sure what to do about this large leak.

I sent out a few Yelp requests late that evening, and this business replied early the next morning. I texted him a few pictures and videos and he agreed to check out my leak immediately on New Year's Eve! He was at my house within 30 minutes and after 2 hours my leak was fixed.

He was this older Asian man and his English wasn't great, but don't let this deceive you. I was extremely impressed with his work. He even moved my refrigerator by himself!

His price was extremely fair especially on a holiday that nobody else was willing to work!

I will definitely be contacting him again for my future plumbing needs.

Sunnyvale Plumbing scheduled but missed appointment without before or after followup.

I called Sunnyvale Plumbing and scheduled an appointment for 5pm today and they confirmed. But at 5pm tenant told me they didn't show up. At 5:30pm tenant asked if they are still coming, they said no, because a previous work didn't finish. At 7pm I checked with tenant to see if they made it, tenant said no shows and no proactive follow ups.

This is a scheduler issue. - It's totally understandable that a noshow happens sometime, but it would show much more care about clients if they can proactive call and update the status.

It is true, the service call timing is good and the company is good for basic repair. However, my recent experience with the service call has costed me dearly as communication is such a big issue with the person and would not know what they could do or not do. They have no experience with high end faucet repair leaks etc. I would never ever call them or recommend it to anyone else.
