Best drain and sewer work done for me.
During the past 5 years, I have used more then 5 (contacted much more, 15-20) top rated plumbing services from Yelp around San Jose / Sunnyvale area. This one tops them all!
WORK: Slow drain in sewer, and replace a section of rusted 2"" iron drain pipe.

You pay almost the lowest price but get the best work done.
1. Slow drain: Do the drain cleaning work VERY THOROUGHLY. This guy is the only plumber that uses a drain cleaner blade, all others only used bare cable without cleaner blade attached. This makes huge differences, because without cleaner blade, the snake cable can only make a small hole through the grease, and your drain will get clogged much sooner -- I think other plumers do these purposely. He also breaks up the obstruction as thoroughly as possible, and do it through both kitchen and laundary vents (through roof). Other plumbers either do very swiftly or only do one.
2. High quality piping work.
We got rusted 2"" iron pipe replaced by PVC (~ 6"" long). The quality of his work and parts he used both are very good. It also comes with 1y warranty.
3. Very polite and patient.
4. Cost is good.
Actually the lowest price I every get. Slow drain for $90. Fixing pipe $100.

--CON--
1. This guy speaks very limited English.
I'm ok to use drawing board to communicate the fixing plan with him. If you don't, maybe you should reconsider.
2. May not be on schedule
Personally, I do not experience the issue. But my friends do. I feel this is partially a communication issue.

I called him for two times. One is for drainage clog and another for toilet flange ring replacement. He did fast with good price. He also clean around after job done. Surely recommended

No show & hard to communicate as they speak very limited English.

Booked them to do some work at a Rental Property at 8am following morning. 8:30am he calls me and says he will be there in 20 minutes. 2 minutes later I get a text saying ""I'm not coming"". No explanation, no reschedule, nothing. Left my tenant hanging. Thanks for that.

My aging mother needed her kitchen sink unclogged so I called Sunnyvale Plumbing. I was told someone would be there ""for sure"" between 7:30 - 8pm. At 8:30pm I called and was told that his boss was the one who was coming and he was on a job that ran long so wasn't coming. No call, no nothing. Sink still clogged. Totally unprofessional.

I replaced 4 faucets and this plumber had the best quote and did a very good job. The job was more challenging than he thought but he patiently worked through the problems and did a clean and thorough job. He said that he has been in the business for over 29 years. An efficient, reasonable, patient and honest plumber. I will certainly use him again!

Could not ask for a better plumber experience.

Like an idiot, I overloaded our garbage disposal and suddenly the sink started backing up with... backed up sink water. Gross.

I did my due diligence and Googled around in an attempt to make sure I tried all the things short of actually disassembling the pipes under the sink. No dice.

I called Shin at Sunnyvale Plumbing (though the business card he gave me says Ace 1 Plumbing) and he responded **immediately** ... he said he was at a job but he could call me back in about an hour. He called me back in about 20 minutes. He said he'd be over in about 30 minutes. He was over in 7 minutes. He came in, looked at the situation, quoted me a very reasonable amount ($100 for plumbing is pretty darn reasonable) and then he set to work.

Less than 30 minutes later he had disassembled the whole underside of the sink, cleaned it thoroughly, and reassembled the whole thing. Seriously. Fast enough that I was still able to go out to dinner with friends! Amazing.

My Mom had a bad plug at the drain out of her kitchen sink. It was so bad the water would come out of the wall by her bathroom. We called a plumber to come snake it. They did and it worked for a couple of days and they had to come back again. They ran a camera that cost her $400 and said they would need to cut up concrete and it would cost her between $5k to $26k!!! She is 92 years old and on a very limited income.
I went to Yelp to get some different quotes, I came across Mr. Shin who had very good reviews. I called him to see if he could come give me a quote, it was almost 5pm, I figured it would be the next day. Nope, he was over at my Mom's house in 1/2 hour.
His English is not that great, so it was hard to understand him.
But I gotta tell you, he located the problem real quick and told me it would cost $380 and he should have it done in 2 hours!! I didn't believe it, but he did it!
Mr. Shin was very professional, very fast, showed me everything he was gonna do, and did a little more without charging my Mom for it.
I would recommend him very highly!!!
I give him a very solid 10 & all A++++++++!!!
