These guys have helped me out numerous times. Excellent customer service! I plan on calling them again for any future plumbing needs.

Great service! These guys really know their stuff. Every time we have used them for my business, they have been fast but thorough. I also appreciate that they make an extra effort to clean up any mess that may be made from their work. We will absolutely use them again.

Very professional! Very prompt!! Very Respectful!!
I would call for their help again!!
Thank you!

I was also in the units who had the main water valve issue on 7/10/15. My experience was completely different than the prior review. This was my observation on the timeline.
7/10/15 (Friday)
* Called the landscaping and irrigation hotline to report water flowing from the round... Figured it was a sprinkler leak.
* HOA sent out email that a water leak was found and that water will be shut off (emergency notice given through email). Noted it was not an irrigation issue, but a plumbing issue.
7/11/15 (Saturday)
* Workers arrived in the AM to troubleshoot and solve.
* Found a main water line break 8 ft under.
* Called a specialist company since this job is much bigger than anticipated. (ETA 7/13/15)
* Patched up the main water valve, and turned on service later in the day. Water still can be heard leaking significantly.
* 2 emails from HOA were sent out describing the situation throughout the day.
7/12/15 (Sunday)
* Notes were posted on doors / bulletin board about water shutoff on Tuesday.
7/14/15 (Tuesday)
* Pipe was repaired when I got home. Currently filling in hole.
I talked with the workers and didn't have a negative experience. They were both nice and described fully what they knew about the situation. They did the job they were hired to do in a timely manor. It sucks it was a main water line and effected so many units, but this was a major issue that was handled well in my eyes.
Would hire for personal plumbing issues.

Horrible customer service. Our property management company uses them for plumbing and they have no ounce of respect. Tried speaking to the guys out here today to ask why our water was shut off with out a notice. The response all of the tenants received was rude, essentially saying we don't care who you are, we don't have to tell you what is going on, call your property management company. We also called their office to see what is going on, give us an eta of when the water will be back, and they had the same attitude. Telling us we don't have to tell you anything....
Have some decency and give us something to work with. You cant just barge in, shut the water, without letting us know, then not give us a response as to what is going on. Our property management company didn't even get a notice, now we have to wait for them to call and get the same information they could have given us from the get go.
Having lived in NY & NJ, I could have never thought i would run across a company on the west coast with a level of rudeness that went beyond the east coast norm. I will make sure that my all my coworkers and friends know to never use Sun West plumbing or recommend them.

Just when I thought the term ""customer service"" was a oxymoron, Beth at Sun West Plumbing proved me wrong. She demonstrated outstanding customer service skills helping me resolve an issue that my HOA management company created. She was such a pleasure to converse with. Mind you she was under no obligation to assist me for this was not a Sun West Plumbing issue. Front line employees are the face of a business. Beth's go the extra mile service tells me that Sun West is a top caliber business that I can reccomend to friends and other business associates.

These guys are great! I called for an emergency repair and a gentleman answered the phone, told me EXACTLY how much it was going to cost to get a technician out there for a weekend call. I seriously do not understand how a couple of other reviewers were shocked by the bill, they made it very clear numerous times what the minimum charge would be for such a call.
The technician arrived in less than 30 minutes, did the job and explained everything to me about what he did. He also answered all my questions and gave me tips to prevent such a blockage from happening again.

Do yourself a favor and call ANYONE else in San Diego for your plumbing needs. They showed up at my place of business for an emergency weekend call, wouldn't quote me an exact price for their services despite my repeated requests, determined that my sewage backup 'resolved itself' all over the floor but flushed the lines and ran a snake anyway, and charged my small business $400 for a half hour of their time. When I called back to request additional information as to why I was charged so much when they didn't so much as clear paper towels out of the lines and performed unnecessary tests, their response was essentially that we were paying their guys to show up for the weekend. I don't personally know anyone that works for this company, but somehow I doubt that they seriously pay their people the $350 / half hour they charged me. Instead of negotiating a fair price with us, they threatened us with small claims court. We used these guys on a recommendation from our landlord, and after 5 minutes of legwork on yelp to find an alternate, found no fewer than 5 companies that charged less that $200 for weekend emergency calls. Save your hard earned $ for a company that deserves it, literally ANYONE else.

A Wonderful family owned business. Honest, integrity and helpful are words that I would use to described their service. There is a reason they have been around for 20 years. The owners are honest, fair and really want to help. They will not rip you off like other large businesses. Friendly and are just an ideal small business. I will call back for my plumbing needs.

I called them for a backed up toilet. My plumber is on vacation.
They said their service call fee is $350. To be fair it was their overtime charge, on Saturday afternoon.]
I had asked what it included. They said it's where it starts, any work done will cost extra. Imagine if I showed up at work and told my boss or clients: I showed up, pay me $350, and if I spend a minute doing any work, you will have to pay me more.
I told them no thank you, I work 3 days to make $350, it's not what I can afford or imagine paying.
I am writing this knowing that most plumbers charge between $100 and $200 for service calls.
I went to Home Depot, rented a snake for $25, spent 30 minutes cleaning at two cleanouts and the house is back to normal.
