Bad diagnosis didn't check for leak put 5 lbs of freon in for $650 next day it was gone. Poor social skills Craig the owner said didn't know what my game was. Your service man never checked the air handler for ice. Never offered to use a dye to find leak. Not concerned with making customer happy. Stay away

We have had the worst experience with Sun Ray Air Conditioning on numerous occasions. They installed our new central A/C unit while damaging walls and a family pictures without even acknowledging it. Within 1 week of installation we had a leak in our attic and down the side of the house. They first claimed it was not their fault but later found out that they did not pitch the water overflow catch properly and did not install the water drainage hose at a proper angle. Since we purchased the ""high"" rated unit (not necessary with the size of our house) we were eligible to receive a LIPA rebate. However, it took Sun Ray over 6 months to complete the application, with me calling them at least twice a month to follow up. We received our rebate on the last week of eligibility. Then this Spring we realized that they did not complete the job by placing leaders around the wires outside our home. Instead of dealing with them I had my contractor take care of. Unfortunately, they blew a fuse and it took Sun Ray 2 visits to determine the problem. We in turn ask Sun Ray if they could put the leaders back up and they said no problem, as long as we were patient. Well 2 months later, they scheduled an appointment, which was cancelled after they verified the appointment the day before. They rescheduled the next week between 8 and noon. I called the dispatcher at 9:30 and she stated that serviceman would arrive in 20 minutes. He actually arrived at 3:15. He then took a look at the job, called his boss and told my wife that he left his tools at his previous job (blamed his assistant-really classy!). He left and stated that his office would call to reschedule, which of course I am not holding my breath over. I still cannot believe how unprofessional their whole company is, from the boss down to the techs. It has been one of my worst experiences with a company and I will NEVER call them again and I suggest no one else use them either. I guarantee that you will be as frustrated as I am today. By the way, the wires are still exposed outside my home and now I have to get my contractor back to complete the job!!!!

This has to be one of the WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. I had CAC installed the summer of 2012. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Beware!!! They come off all nice and polite with empty promises. The installer made a total mess of my attic. Threw my Christmas stuff all over and left trash behind. What prompts my anger now is, it's time for my 1 year complimentary service. The office postponed the service, then called to postpone it again, then cancelled and now just called to say sorry we don't do service on Saturdays anymore. Really ? How come Sunray could come by Saturday to get paid? I put this company in the category of Roberts Fence. TERRIBLE, UNRELIABLE, EXTREMELY SLOPPY AND VERY DISHONEST.

DO not ever call this company!! Could have bought a new system for what they wanted to charge us. (And tech explains it might not even work!) Technician tells us he wouldn't do it. Sad thing is we explained exactly what was wrong to the woman who answers the phone. But - she just sends the guy out to rip us off anyway!!! When you try to call for the manager, Toni hangs up on you!!!!! Stay Away!!!!!!

I am very unhappy with this company and how they do business. They installed my unit 17 years ago and I had service contracts which they never called to come and I would forget and not call them. They should have their service contracts on their computer and notify their customers. I stopped the contract and recently had a problem with my furnace, the service call was the same as a contract so I had a contract for a year. When they came to service my AC unit (which was working fine) they blew the pressure valve just by putting their gages on the unit. I can't see how this can be so I called another company and they said it was negligence on the service tech. The Sun Ray tech wrote up an estimate to replace the unit, he said it couldn't be fixed it would cost too much. I was given 3 figures $4,000.00 to replace and was told it wouldn't work if I have to replace the furnace, $6,000.00 to make it compatible if I have to replace the furnace, and anywhere between $8,000.00-$10,000.00 to replace both. I would think twice before dealing with this company, I feel the AC unit was broken by them and all they want to do is sell me a new unit and heating unit that I didn't need. Now I have to pay someone else to fix the unit and add the freon, on something that was there fault.
