Avoid Sun City Leak Detection. I hired them to find a leak under the slab and they narrowed it down to an 18 inch square. The actual leak was 8 feet away. When I contacted them about their warranty they were rude , and refused to honor their warranty. My advice is to stay clear of this company or get clear details on their warranty performance on the invoice.

My experience with this company was terrible. I had a leak in my kitchen and I had hired a plumber and the plumber couldn't find the source of the leak. So he suggested we call Sun City Leak Detection so they could find the where the leak was coming from. Initially the company estimated the total charge for the service would be $280; I hired them to do so. And when they showed up they "found" the source of the leak and they told the plumber where to dig. He dug and never found anything, they took the $280 and left. Long story short I had to hire someone else to do the job and they just took my money. Do not use this company! They are terrible

If I could leave a Zero, I would. I had my tenants call re; a leak under one of my properties (I'm out of state). She contacted Sun City Leak a detection and they set up an appointment for 5:30 pm. At 7:30, tenents called to tell me they hadn't shown so I called. The person that answered not only was rude, but if I could write in here what I think of him I would.
After I told him that he was 2!hours late, his response was 'And?' After a few words, I told him that it would've been nice if he'd called and told me he couldn't make it. He then hung up on me.
I called back (maybe the call was dropped), and he responded with 'What the heck do you want lady? We aren't showing up!' I wanted an explanation. Finally, he said 'You know what? We don't need your business!' and hung up on me.
This business is not in the plumbing business. If they DO show up, be careful! Do yourself a favor and FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

Save yourself a lot of money, Sun City Leak Detection of El Paso, TX, is a joke! First, they didn't even show up for the initial appointment, nor did they call to tell me they would have to reschedule because their employee called in sick. I get it, life happens, but not so much as a phone call to apologize and reschedule. I had to call them to reschedule. They finally came to the house and after a few hours they said they pinpointed the leak. They told us it was under the expensive tile in our living area. We asked them how sure they were and they said 100% sure and left. They said they would not fix the leak, just detect it. So we took out the expensive tile, concrete and dug down where they said the leak would be and there was no leak or water pipe in the area. I did get them to come back a week later to tell me that the leak was somewhere else possibly between the front yard and back. So not only did I pay them a lot of money to detect a leak that they never could find. They never even apologized for the thousands of dollars they cost me to replace the tile. Their website says they have trained professionals with state of the art equipment. This is a lie. Save yourself a lot of money and hassle, Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A FRAUD!

I agree with the previous (02-06-19) review! Stay away from this Company. They came to our residence to do a leak detection and committed to do the repairs after having said they found 2 leaks under the floor in the master bathroom and its adjoining closet. They were supposed to begin work the next day in the morning but did not show up and did not even call. When I phoned them to find out what happened, they told me to find another plumber. They had already charged me for the leak detection and thought they could walk away without showing up again. I brought in another leak detection service and they found the right location of the leak. It was not at all under the flooring where Sun City had claimed it was. Instead it was between two walls in an adjacent bathroom. In other words, Sun City was going to reroute the water pipe lines to the master bathroom at a cost of around $2,000. If they had done so, I would have paid them for the work and they would have never found the leak! I called the "Plumbing Doctor" and it took them 7 hours of methodical search detection, but they did find the leak and did the work to fix it. Therefore because Sun City faultered and would not refund my money, I was obliged to fight through legal channels to get my money back, of course providing proof that Sun City did wrong. My experience was that they are not honest business people. What a shame!

These guys at Sun City Leak Detection are a criminally negligent fraud. They "discovered" two leaks in a water line between the city water supply at the street and our house and told us they could repair it. They were supposed to start the "repairs" two days later, but never showed up AND never bothered to call us that they weren't coming. When I asked them about it, the only response I could get was "You can always cancel the order if you want." Next day they were "available" was three days later. Expected them at 8am, they didn't show up until sometime mid-afternoon long after we had left to go to work. All they accomplished that day was to dig three huge holes, none of which was where the "leaks" were marked on the ground. When I asked him about what the delay was about, he again said, "You can always cancel the order if you want." Next day, same thing. Expected them at 8am. No show all day. When I got home from work at 5pm, the three holes from the day before were unchanged. Again, I called and texted him asking what was going on. No response to multiple calls and texts. (Mind you, we have now been living in a hotel for a week and a half because these guys can't bother to show up and get the job started, let alone done!) It's now the Thursday before the Christmas weekend, they "detected" these "leaks" over a week ago and are nowhere near resolving the problem. They're clearly in way over their heads! I call the guy from work around 9am, again, to ask him for a status report. He says that today he'll need someone to be at the house. Remember, this is the guy who can't bother to show up, return calls or texts or even pretend to cooperate with me. And, now, after we're already gone off to work for the day, he's insisting that one of us drop whatever we're doing to meet him at the house. Last second arrangements are made and my wife drives home. After waiting for them at the house for over an hour, I call the guy back again. Incredibly, his only response is, you guessed it, "You can always cancel the order if you want." When I tell him that we're at the house, as requested... and he isn't, he finally says, "You know what, since you're not cancelling, I'm cancelling. I'm not doing this." That was it! They walked off the job, took our $276 for a fraudulent leak detection claim, left our front yard torn up, including brick pavers along the front sidewalk, left three holes, two in which the water line had been cut and left completely separated, no repairs, no refund, no referral for a legitimate "leak detection" company, nothing but pain and frustration! They "detected" our "leaks" on December 12th and, while the water was shut off to the house and they twiddled their thumbs, we had to stay in a hotel for a full two weeks, including the weekend just before Christmas. Thank God for Jeff's Westside Plumbing who came out on the weekend and repaired their two cuts in our water line. Once those cuts were welded back together, American Leak Detection came out and, lo and behold, confirmed that we had NO LEAKS all along. The reason we had no water getting into our house was because our water softener had broken down and resin particulate and glass beads from the unit had flowed into the home plumbing preventing water flow throughout the house. Thank God for Reliable Plumbing for coming out on the Sunday before Christmas to clear out our clogged lines so we could move back into our home for Christmas Eve. We still have reminders of this nightmare called Sun City Leak Detection every day we walk out our front door because the holes they left in our yard and front curb are still there nearly two months later. Do yourself a favor and avoid Sun City Leak Detection at all costs. They are incompetent, perpetually late, non-responsive, uncooperative and, as stated at the outset, a criminally negligent fraud.
