I called and scheduled an apt appointment with them for a Wednesday. I had a leak in the bathroom that was causing bubbling and staining on the ceiling below and I didn't know how severe it was so I had to stop using the bathroom all together which was a major inconvenience.
I found out I had to be home all day and wait for their call as they couldn't give me an appointment window and would only call me shortly before arriving. I was ok with that as I needed this leak handling quickly. I waited all day and around 2pm, they called me and stated they couldn't make it out at all today. Not even after normal business hours. They said they wanted to reschedule for Friday. Well I already had plans on Friday and couldn't sit at home waiting around around all day so I explained that wouldn't work and condo they at least come out tomorrow and they said they schedule was already full. So I felt like my business wasn't really important to them and they didn't care about me as a customer. I went with another company and they came out timely and were very professional. It was an even bigger slap in the face with I got an ad in the mail the next week stating they have 24/7 on call availability and they still left me hanging. All that being said, I can cant to the quality of work they may do when they actually keep appointments.
Called for a lower level pump outage.
They charge for a visit and told me what I already knew the problem to be.
Gave me an estimate which I knew was really high. Other plumbers gave me an estimate over the phone for free.
Tried to sell all kinds of warranty options ,I needed a plumber, not a salesman.
Got the work done by my usual guy even though I had to wait a few days because he was busy. Maybe his fees being 50% lower are why he is so busy.
Really don't rate one. Had them put in New furnace and a.c. 5 years ago. Furnace does ok. A.c. does not even come close to keeping house cool. Had to have recharged last year was low
Now the same. Never did work like I thought it should. Signed up for home inspection every year. Plumbing was a quick walk through less than 5 min. When they put in heat and air the crammed it in in one day. Terrible quality work
Complaints while they were working was that's normal. I did call them to fix a water leak and ended up with water covering my kitchen floor. Every time they come out they try to sell you more products. They can't even get the basics correct. My real rating is -5.
They don't care about the customers time.
I scheduled two appointments, one for Plumbing and the other one for AC tune-up. 20 mins AFTER my plumbing appointment time, they called me said there is an emergency, and need to reschedule my appointment. A few days later, 3 mins before my AC tune-up appointment, they called me said the exactly the same thing, appointment need to reschedule due to emergency.
They don't care about the time of the customers at all. I understand emergency happens, but the problem is they don't call you ahead of time, simply because they don't care about customer's time.
Matthew B.I called freezing around new year. They answer and said the tech would call me. Hours later I called again and they would get the tech to call again. I never got a phone call.
Not even a 1-star. Left them a VM at 0725 and they called at 0805 for our water heater line leak and indicated somone would be out today and would give a courtesy approximately 30 min before arrival. They called about 315 pm to indicate they would not be coming at all. So waited for them all day for nothing. We were a returning customer and received their fliers in the mail. I responded that with no hot water and waiting all day it is now to the urgent stage and asked how they advertise 24/7 help. No more with Summers. Contacted another outfit who was out in about 1-1/2 hours to make the 15 minute repair. Pretty sad!
I do not even want to give them one star!!! They did not come for the appointments twice and did not even call to inform us about cancelation. Both times, we had to call them to see what was going on after waiting for hours. Their excuse was that there were too many emergencies. Due to their neglect, our house walls are all ruined!!! I called them last Tuesday and Today is MONDAY! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Received two mailers from these people in one month. Their deal was have your system cleaned and checked for $59.95. Called them and left messages three times over a period of about one week and never so much as received a call back.
I wouldn't call these guys again if they were the only place in Columbus, Indiana. If you can't walk the walk then don't talk the talk.
Debra G.I contacted Summers to fix the hot water issue with my kitchen faucet. I was apprehensive, due to the fact that I had them out about 2 years ago to do routine maintenance on my furnace, and after the service man left, I didn't have heat. It was working fine before he did maintenance on it. It took 2 days and several service guys to fix it, and it still isn't working 100%. Anyway, the service man came out to fix the hot water line, took the faucet apart, and still couldn't fix the problem. He turned the water off and suggested I buy a new faucet. So now, I don't have ANY water in my kitchen faucet and they want to charge me $220 to come back to install my NEW faucet. I spoke with Russ, the supervisor, and he said they would do it for $78, really? You would think that after I told him, I was unemployed and a single parent he would be understanding. Especially knowing that it was worse after, and all the issues I have had with them in the past. So, I told him I knew someone that would install it for $35. He was happy about that. Shouldn't he have offered to do it for that? I mean that would be good customer service. In the end, my recommendation is this; DON'T USE SUMMERS!
