Moving into an older home can mean that you are met with surprises when it comes to plumbing. This was the case in our purchase. Previous owners had been ""creative"" in how they plumbed the house, the addition and appeared that there were many ""good ole boy"" fixes and yes, duct tape was involved. After consulting with several companies we were informed that the cost to make it right (channeling the wise words of Mike Holmes) we were stunned at the cost to replace all water and gas lines. In every conversation we were cautioned ""don't call Summers, they will be crazy expensive and mess* you over"" (yes, I have changed the expletive* for family friendly reasons). Having used Summers in a previous home in another part of the State I called them. The gentleman that came out was professional, patient and get this-gave us options and stages that we could do, by addressing the terrible plumbing now , and waiting to update what was adequately working when or if later. That saved us thousands of dollars.
What others contractors had said ""you'll be without water for 2 to 3 days turned into 2 to 3 hours with Summers. The crew that came in were professional, personable and yes, funny as I learned their local connections and ribbing of one another. In the end we had minor issues with fixtures (thanks Lowe's) but Summers made it right).
During this recent cold spell none of the water lines froze, our water and drains performed as expected. Water pressure and hot water were fine. I realized that while everyone experiences different results due to expectations and circumstances those other contractors who slammed Summers just might be intimidated and have lost business to a company that is doing it right.
I have no connection or affiliation with Summers or any of there employees. They were professional, affordable and did the job right.

Overcharged for a simple 5 minute job. Just had surgery so I was stuck. 500.00 to install a piece similar to an oil sending unit. Never again.

Tried to get an estimate to use camera to locate sewer line and only was told it will cost me a $99.00 service call just to tell me how much it would cost, i would never use this firm, all others i call were able to give me a flat rate to do the job, i even had pipe accessible, would have taken long to get equipment out of truck, do not use this company unless your will to pay to find out how much something will cost you, Jones contracting would be a better choice

Had Summers replace our outdoor faucets last year. 2 visits each charging me over $400. Faucets fixed beautifully, no leaks, no problems afterward. Came pretty quick for non emergency repairs. Only complaint is the price!

My furnace went bad late last year, so I bought a whole new HVAC system...a new furnace and a new air conditioner. They charged me like $7,900 with a $1,000 off. Other companies charge like $2k or $3k less for the same equipment. As soon as I started using my new furnace, I immediately starting noticing that my furnace will only blow lukewarm air at best and every room is still cold. I set my furnace at 74 degrees and every room should be toasty but it's not. When my furnace is on auto it shuts off in less than 5 minutes. My house is 880 square feet plus a basement. Perhaps my furnace is too big? Who knows. I can touch the metal of the furnace while it's running and it's cold to the touch. My thermostat says that it is 74 in the living room but it feels like 64.

If I turn my furnace to the on position and let it run non stop, it might get lukewarm for a few minutes, then it will constantly just blow cold air. One of the guys who installed my system, had his last day of employment with your company the day it was installed...perhaps he was in a rush? I have also heard constant dripping sounds when the furnace shuts off and rattling noises randomly also.

I had an extremely poor initial experience with Summers, but the owner took extreme measures to rectify it. Offered maintenance visits for the next year. Will bump stars back up to 4 or 5 if those go well.
