Sulphur Springs Plumbing

My handicap mother has Multiple Sclerosis and is no longer able to walk. She has been using Sulphur Springs Plumbing because of a referral from a close friend. I am outraged and disgusted with this company after reading a text from my mother explaining why our house is flooding again :

"I just called SS plumbing. She told me they were at our house the other day and fixed the leak. They couldn't get anyone to the door, so they undid all the repairs and left. She said we need to find another plumber. "

We are unsure of what day the company claims to have made a service call because Sulphur Springs Plumbing took it upon themselves to make a visit to our house without any notice or appointment. The extremely rude lady who spoke with my mother on the phone said that:

"They came back on a Saturday. The doorbell never rang and they didn't call me. "

I have been out of town for the past couple of weekends. My mother is chair bound and it takes a long time for her to transfer from her lift chair to her scooter as she has lost most of the function of her legs and is a fall risk. It is very obvious that she is handicap as she has a lift on her car to transport her scooter and a handicap ramp leading up to our door.

I find it extremely disturbing that Sulphur Springs Plumbing will just show up at a private residence without consent and disassemble plumbing repairs because a crippled widow couldn't make it to/didn't hear the doorbell. Had someone from Sulphur Springs Plumbing called beforehand or even left a note, we would have gladly made ourselves available. Instead, they trespassed on private property and tampered with our plumbing. Needless to say, I would not even recommend Sulphur Springs Plumbing to my worst enemy.

Terrible business practices, very slow service, and the plumbers that I interacted with had poor hygiene and creepy mannerisms that make your skin crawl.

We are remodeling our bathrooms so I phoned Sulphur Springs Plumbing to give us an estimate..the woman who answered the phone was more interested in the origins of my last name..I told her I didn't know I married the name 25 years ago..from the little research I've done on the internet I think it's roots are Croation..her reply, "your husband doesn't even know his nationality?!"..I said, "It's just a name, we're not from there"..I thought why am I even defending this..anyway..she set up an appointment for someone to come out the next day..after waiting all day I phoned their office, the same woman said, "he didn't show up? I'll get hold of him and call you right back!"..She never called back..That was a week ago..I don't think she's going to..

After having a gas leak, I called SS Plumbing to get the work checked out. They came out when nobody was home and provided 0 information as to where the leak was and how much it would be. I have been attempting to contact the plumber for a week to get details however I am instead rerouted to their receptionist who is both extremely rude and super unhelpful saying that the plumber is too busy to return my call and to pay the $1000+ fee upfront without even knowing what was wrong? After a week of the receptionist saying he would pass the message on the plumber, I gave 4 more calls inquiring about what needed to be fixed. The receptionist said 'we are too busy, find someone else' and then proceeded to hang up on me.

I have honestly never been treated so poorly and I hope that the receptionist is reprimanded for this extremely unprofessional behavior. After being a customer for several years, I will not be returning.

Sulphur Springs Plumbing has done work for me since 2004. They have done new construction and repairs to the original part of the house.
Work is always done correctly and at a reasonable price. They also won't kill your pocketbook on a Sunday or after hours call.
