Our neighbor had just used Ellis to replace their water treatment system and recommended him highly. Ellis did not disappoint! provided us with stellar service. We had never had a well with a water treatment system before and he spent all the time we needed to familiarize us with these types of systems which included extra phone calls. There was no pressure to replace the system, just information which helped us make a decision. In the end he replaced our water treatment system. Great service. Great experience using Sullivan brothers.

Sullivan Brothers were recommended by our plumber to service our existing soft water filter, since it was in such bad shape. Unbeknownst to us the system had been out of commission for about a year and a half and was on its last legs, or so I thought. The main thing I want to say is that Ellis Sullivan, our technician, did not try to sell us on a new system, even though I naively said I thought it all needed to be replaced. The salt tank had been sitting in the sun filled with pellets that had turned to a concrete-like block. They replaced it with a used one they had on hand, which was in like-new condition, and serviced the rest. Came by the same day I called. Finished repairs the next day. All for an extremely reasonable fee, much less than expected. I HIGHLY recommend this fine company.

We bought a house west of Petaluma in 2012 and the prior owners had installed a UV filter for the water system. They didn't leave us any manuals or info on the UV filter. Fast forward to 2014 and the filter started beeping. I found the Sullivan number on the unit and they came out THAT DAY to service the unit. They were super helpful with other water questions I had around our property and offered a regular maintenance program. We recently bought another rural property which needed a reverse osmosis system and, of course, I wanted Sullivan on the job. They were fast, efficient and fair. I highly recommend this company!

The Sullivans are great! I worked with Kelly and he is very professional, timely, courteous, and actually a lot of fun. He was quite informative when helping me figure out how to eliminate bacterial iron from a shallow irrigation well. His installation was very neat and clean, and his glueing of all the PVC joints beautiful and precise! So, OK, you can see that I would highly recommend them. Also, he changed my R/O filters for half the price of the big name companies.

When our well known name-brand house water softener failed, I did extensive internet research on water softener machines and found that our well known brand is not the best. And neither was the expensive service provided by that well-known brand's franchisees. I also learned the best brands are installed by independent plumbing contractors, not by the manufacturers of the water softener. Looking for an independent plumber who installed the brand I wanted to buy is how I found Sullivan Brothers. They were not the only option, but I was attracted to them because they have been in Petaluma forever and are a small family run company, and after dealing with a franchisee of a big company and paying the high prices that come with that, I was ready and willing to take a chance on a small company and ""shop local"".

I called and spoke with Kelly and felt very good about him. I had him come to our home, install the softener, and also replace our dysfunctional kitchen reverse osmosis system. He was terrific; straight-forward and honest. I had him come out a week later to replace an unrelated valve (turns the water off to the whole house) and again he was terrific with very fair pricing.

That reverse osmosis system he had installed started running at odd times a couple months later, so I called Kelly, and the moment of truth was upon us, what would he say ....well, he came out immediately (within an hour), replaced the faulty part, and, of course, changed me nothing, instead apologizing for the problem.

Every time Kelly was at my home, I came away with that good old fashioned small business feeling ...he's personally invested in his business and wants to be sure his customers are happy and come back ...no corporate short-sighted get-the-sale-and-run mentality. I now have a plumber I can trust and also doesn't charge the high prices that franchisees charge.
