I shoulda read all the other reviews before hiring Sugar Bear, but I was desperate and they called first. I don't usually write ""meh"" reviews, but I really didn't leave with a great feeling.

First reason: odd dispatch interactions. I talked to one dispatcher in the evening, gave my details, and set a time for a visit the next day. It all seemed very business-like The plumber didn't arrive, so I called back. Apparently there was no record I'd ever previously called. Weird.

Second reason: insistent up selling. I'm sure that the more expensive version of the service *is* more effective. But if we want the cheap version that's worked well in the past...why keep pushing? After the plumber kept pushing for the pricey option after I'd asked him multiple times for the cheap but ok version, I started to feel a bit uncomfortable. We finally did get the cheap version though. Which was good because...

Third reason: $$$$. Snaking a drain on the ground floor cost us $427. That's...a lot more than we paid the last time. Maybe average prices have gone up since the last time we had that pipe snaked, but wow. It was a shock. But we were desperate, as I said. So we paid. We asked an architect friend whether that price seemed reasonable, and he confirmed: definitely more $$$ then he'd accept.

So, hey. Glad our problem is solved. But we're not going to call Sugar Bear ever again.

Amazing service! 5 stars! Ian was so friendly, knowledgeable and really took his time to explain everything. He wore a mask the entire time and cleaned up after everything! Will definitely use them again and be referring to friends and family! Thank you! Nice to find a good company! We had our house Repipes last April and it was very professionally done and in timely manner. We did have a few sounds problem but was taken care ASAP without delay. Very friendly very professional and reliable services.

Quick service, but you'll pay big time.
I called yesterday afternoon and they were at my house this morning.
I almost fainted when I heard the charge was over $600 to clear my clogged kitchen sink.
My husband replaced the garbage disposal and pipes under the sink.
A local plumber advised us to pour professional liquid drano down (we followed his instructions and after 2 bottles, the clog remained)
I'm just curious to find out from my husband why it cost us over $600

Extremely expensive and my pipes are still leaking after their second time here. What's the point of spending all the money if you don't do your job??? Also left ugly fixtures on because they would have had to ""go get them"" like really??? Over $1300 and I have two toned fixtures I'm now having to complain about having changed. All the while the pipes are still leaking when trying to take a bath and the drain leaks so what was actually done?!

So annoyed. They will be back for the 3rd time and I'll update once everything is said and done. As it stands I won't recommend them to anyone.

I've used Sugar Bear's plumbing services for years (for work an older home and a newer apartment). Always professional, on time, clean, personable and communicative. Also, a great value!

This is not a review of their abilities as plumbers as they never actually made it out to my house to fix a clogged drain. I called slightly before noon on a Friday because our bathtub drain was clogged. The operator took all our information and told us a plumber would be out to fix the problem in a couple of hours.

After waiting at the house for four hours I finally get a call from the plumber saying he wasn't going to be able to come out and that I could maybe schedule something for Tuesday. I tried to explain the drain was clogged and I couldn't wait but no I would have to wait.

Now I understand them getting busy, not having the time to fix our drain, but to leave us hanging for four hours on a weekday afternoon without telling us they weren't going to make it after promising they would? Totally rude and unprofessional. This is no way to run a business.

So if you have an immediate plumbing need do not depend on these guys to be able to make it out to fix it or even tell you they won't make it. They'll just leave you hanging.

Very professional high quality work. Had an emergency water pipe main line bust. Very stressful situation. When Sugar Bear Plumbing team came out they got our problem fixed and had us up and running . Very straight forward and reasonable pricing. I highy recommend this company.
I will use them again.

Horrible! Very, disappointed. Sugar Bear Plumbing came out to our house on Friday because we had a shower that wouldn't drain. We showed them our pipes and Lawrence immediately told us we need all new piping??? WTF??? We called for a clogged shower?? Now we need new pipes and its going to cost $1,700 bucks??? He wouldn't even look down the pipe?? He wouldn't even bother with trying to snake the shower??? WOW what kind of plumbing service is this??? Very corporate and just trying to make commission. We contacted another plumbing service and fixed the issue in 30 mins for $189.00. Save your money and don't bother contacting these guys.
