Recently, my husband and I have been remodeling our daughter's condo in Chicago. We were finished with the kitchen, with the exception of the top row of tiles on the backsplash, which we were unable to cut with a manual tile cutter. I called Studio H Construction - mainly because they were close - and asked if they would cut about 10 tiles for me with their wet saw. Clearly, they could have told me to take a hike with such a small job. Not only did they cut they tiles, they picked up the tiles to be cut AND delivered them back to me after they were cut ... in a very timely manner. The story doesn't end there. They wouldn't accept payment! Who does that in Chicago? I wouldn't hesitate to call Shar and Neno again! Thank you! You guys rock!

I would give 0 stars but it's not possible. Shar starts out a smooth talker and pretends to know what he is doing. However he is never at the job site and hires random people that seem learning on the job. Shar only comes to collect a check. Shar has business skills because he doesnt know what his workers are doing or what is going on with his projects. His workers have no respect for the owners property. I highly recommend staying as far away as possible. His work is shoddy at best. The tile floor in the kicthen was uneven and the tile began to crack before the they could even finish the job due to improper installment and the tile for the kitchen was missing tiles near the door when I was left a tileless floor!!! Can you believe that? Leaving a disgusting untiled floor and thinking it is fine. The workers ruined my backyard because they never got a dumpster permit and used my backyard and back porch as a dumpster. Due to the amount of heavy items on my back porch the floor became crooked and slanted. Shar broke my living room and my brand.new bathroom sink. Bottom line use my experience to benefit yourself and stay away.

Studio H did 3 projects for me. Shame on me for singing them on to the second two because they never finished the first. In fact, they never finished any of the 3 jobs they started.

Their entire game is low bids, then pile on change order after change order. It took them over a year to finish a concrete job they started and refused to offer any compensation. Many of the elements that were described to me as ""musts"" ended up not being completed because it was going to be too time consuming. But did they offer to pay back any money? No. They're forcing me to file suit against them for it.

They are shifty salespeople at best. Most of their work is completed by unskilled laborers. They're also known to outsource jobs, and then proceed to blame the outsourced company for any problem as if its your problem to deal with them instead of Studio H.

Worst contractor I've ever dealt with. Get EVERYTHING in writing, and double check the verbage. Pay nothing until work is complete or he'll have no problem writing you off.

See that beautiful Ukrainian Village bathroom in the photos? It's mine. You can't tell in the photos, but they used two different colors of grout, and the shower hardware continually falls off because they did not install in properly.

Highly recommend you stay away. Negotiate timeline penalties/bonuses in writing at a minimum. AS CROOKED AS THEY COME!!!

Shar worked around my schedule and completed everything on time. Moreover, some additional issues were identified and Shar stepped in to fix it instead of leaving things for a future problem. I had a good experience overall and would use them again in the future.

Studio H did a major remodeling in my condo kitchen and bathroom. It was a big job and as you may now, fraught with strict condo regulations and specifications. Shar Nahid -the owner/proprietor not only completed the work in time and as scheduled, but also with in the budget. His people are top and he keeps good control and watch over the work being performed. Above all, Shar and his crew did what they said and always showed up in time. They also were gracious enough to work around my schedule.

In summary, professional, prompt and high quality of work.
