Stuart Electric, Inc. was established by Carl G. Stuart in 1956. The first type of work he provided, with one assistant, was setting up circuits for air conditioners acquired from major appliance shops.
In early the spring of 1991, Jude G. Raspino, Jr. began discussions with Mr. Stuart, and on April 22, '91, the agreement were signed. Since that date, Jude and his management team have worked tirelessly to position Stuart Electric, Inc., now Stuart Services, as a premier company in the NOLA service and repair industry.
In June 2001, Stuart Electric Inc. became Stuart Services LLC, expanding air conditioning and heating services to our existing electrical and home generator divisions. In May 2008, we introduced our Plumbing department, completing our vision of being a complete provider for all home repair needs.

Just moved back to the area, and needed someone to come out and figure out a problem with a light that kept shorting out. They charged 370.00 as a ""diagnostic"" fee... That meant that he crawled up into the attic and saw that a squirrel had chewed through some wires. (Took 20 minutes)..He then told me that it would cost another 778.00 to repair it. That it would take 2 men and 3 hours to fix it. Called someone else.. and paid a little over 100.00 to repair it. I would have paid these crooks almost a THOUSAND dollars to repair something that was fixed for a hundred. Please save your money!! The most dishonest, opportunistic company.

Stuart services is the only place I call. I have an old house with lots of issues and Stuart fixes it right the first time. They always show up when they said they will, and I have never had any problems with their work. I am willing to pay more for these things; I agree they aren't the cheapest, but they are good and they show up when they say they will.

We had both electrical and plumbing issues in our 10 year old home. With a total of three service calls, two plumbers and one electrician later, all problems seemed to be solved. Prices were a little high but I feel the equipment replaced and work done warranted the higher prices. And a feeling of professionalism that the job was well done is worth the price. All of the employees I spoke to or came in contact with were very nice and easy to work with.

my mother in law in her late 70s called them to diagnose a short in one of the bedrooms. They upsold her on many items that were not the issue. just needed a wire to be changed, which had been chewed by rodents. They sold her into changing her complete panel and all the breakers and charged more than $6000 for a total of 10 h hours spent on the job! First guy mis-wired the panel which caused more problems and shut down the AC. Must have been an apprentice electrician that could not even mimic a panel which had worked fine for the past 30 years! Then another person came to fix that. Had to call the air conditioning company who blamed bad rewiring... what a mess ! $400 of material and $500 per hour for lousy work. These guys are crooks who prey on the elderly

Do NOT trust Stuart Services, especially for AC repair. They treated us fairly in 2012 when we needed a hot water heater replaced, but when we called them for an AC repair, they charged us $249 to replace a capacitor and clean the unit. They also gave us an estimate for $7,700 to replace the existing unit.
Problems were legion. First, they didn't actually clean the unit, just idly ran the hose over it. Had to pay another company to do it for real (with solution).
Second, they replaced the capacitor without replacing the fan motor, guaranteeing both would burn out.
Third, they quoted $349 for a new fan motor saying we needed another one of the exact model. However, another technician installed a generic one for less than half that price.
Fourth, the $7,700 quote wasn't necessary according to another technician and, even worse, was a full $4,000 over market value. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS overpriced. I have one estimate for $3,700 for such a unit and two coupons in the mail for similar ones for as low as $3,500.
Do NOT trust this company and do not pay for any work without getting at least one other quote.
Very sad considering I had such a good relationship with them at one point.

I am most impressed with the services I have received. My emergency experience was handled with grace and quick professional knowledge and repair; great end results!!! Since coming to Louisiana in 12/2015 I experienced not too happy results from prior companies BUT STUART ELECTRIC is far above 10 bars. Thank you so much!!!

We called Stuart Services and Scott came over immediately. He fixed all of our issues and gave suggestions for future problems. Scott was very couteous, knowlegdable, humorous, and seemed very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would use him again.

Horrible Pricing practices!!
Mom's water heater wouldn't light
$75 to make an appointment_no disclosure of base service call cost. Prompt response and dispatch.
Aririved: $342 is minimal service charge_ if I said no, I would have forfited my $75 deposit.
2 minutes into the appointment, they cleared the Dust Bunny from in front of the pilot burner. That dust bunny cost $342
Follow-up call rec'd to ask about my service and I told him it was unacceptable that they did not disclose a minimal charge. The lady said they cannot discussed prices over the phone. Offered to have manager call me...I said ok. Haven't heard from a manager.
This is just vulgar pricing!

Scheduled an appointment on Thursday for Saturday service. Left cell phone number and was told I would receive a call and an e-mail as the second scheduled appointment. Waited until 10 am and called to check status. Plumber returned call and said he decided to move to emergency calls. No e-mail or call received on the number I left when I scheduled the appointment. Do not let the 5 star reviews fool you - this company is no dependable.

Unquestionably one of the most untrustworthy companies I have yet dealt with. Two years ago we purchased a whole home air conditioning/heating unit from Stuart Services, and as anyone will tell you the cost will quickly get your attention. Wanting to protect our investment we purchased a Maintenance Package consisting of two inspection checks a year. This past Thursday Stuart Services called to inform us they would be unable to make the scheduled appointment, making this is the third scheduled appointment cancelled this year. We have been trying to get the Summer maintenance check since April, it's now August. It is obvious that convincing customers to purchase their Maintenance Package is just a gimmick to take money from customers, enriching the company and having not intentions on providing the services understood in their Maintenance Package.
