Carl G. Stuart founded Stuart Electric, Inc. in 1956. The initial type of electrical work performed by Carl, along with one partner, involved connecting circuits for window air conditioning purchased from major appliance retailers.
In early 1991, Jude G. Raspino, Jr. began negotiating with Mr. Stuart, and on April 22, 1991, the agreement were signed. Since that date, Jude and his management team have dedicated themselves to position Stuart Electric, Inc., now Stuart Services, as a top provider in the Greater New Orleans service and repair industry.
In 2001, Stuart Electric Inc. became Stuart Services LLC, expanding air conditioning and heating services to our established electrical and home generator divisions. In the spring of 2008, we introduced our Plumbing department, achieving our vision of being a complete provider for all home repair needs.

I have nothing good to say about this company. They came out in June to give me an estimate on a job. They were excellent in giving me the estimate showing up on time and it went down hill from there. They said,"" the job would be complete in several days"". Well, that ended up being OCT. 25. They guaranteed I would be happy. Well, the job was never complete, the same problem I had in the beginning is still a problem to this day. Jan 5, 2021. I gave them the chance to make it right after my sewer is backed up in my kitchen, the dishwasher, the bathroom. The house is disgusting and all they can say is its not their fault. If you use this company all I can say is I told you so. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Do not use this company. What was supposed to take 4 days took 3 months. Now the same problem is happening and instead of them coming out to fix it, they want to speak with the insurance company. After the thousands of dollars spent, the original problem wasn't fixed properly. And they say satisfaction guaranteed. I'm not satisfied. Go with a company that will do it right- not these guys!
Very poor schedule management. Very poor customer service.
Called on Dec 1 to schedule service on Dec 7 requesting 1st appt of morning. Called again on Dec 2 to check my schedule options and confirm my Dec 7th, 1st appt of morning - they said they would do the best they could. On Dec 7, by noon, no one showed up; no one called. I called Stuart Services and they said that they would have to reschedule for the following day. To stay at home on Dec 8 to wait for Stuart Services, I canceled my elderly mother's cardiology appt (because I drive her and handle paperwork at the doctor's office).
Just before noon on Dec 8, I received a call from Stuart Services saying that they could NOT get a technician to my house that day and will have to schedule the following day. The caller PROMISED me that I would be first on the schedule for Dec 9 and she was putting the note DO NOT MOVE APPOINTMENT. On Dec 9, Stuart Services called at 8:40am saying that there was an emergency call and that my appointment will be sometime later. When? Don't know. So much for their PROMISE of DO NOT MOVE APPOINTMENT.
I have been pre-paying Stuart Services for this maintenance service all year. It appears that the company already has MY money so they are prioritizing going after new customer money before honoring their annual subscribers. Very poor schedule management. Very poor customer service.
Denise F.They gave me a $5k price quote and another company gave me a $300 quote for the same issue. Their estimates are out of control. Save your coins and go elsewhere.
Melanie B.I was having drainage problems in my bathroom so I called Stuart Services for help, based off high google ratings. Steven arrived to do a drain clean out and did not have all the equipment that was needed to do the job. A camera inspection is supposed to be included with drain clean out, which the plumber did not have. I was told that someone would have to come out the next day in order to finish the job. I called and asked to speak with a manager regarding someone having to come back out the following day. Donald returns my call and starts the conversation off with "" yes I was told you had a problem with the $200 emergency fee""? No Donald I had a problem with the job not being done 100% in one setting. By the way, I was charged a $200 ""emergency fee"" for the plumber to come out in the middle of the day (3pm). I informed Donald that the job was not completed. Donald says""well the video inspection is complementary, you don't have to be inconvenienced and have it done tomorrow because it doesn't need to be done"". Complimentary? Oh that's not included in the $343 price tag just to clean out my drain? Every truck should be equipped with a video camera if that is what comes with a drain clean out, right? Not according to Donald. Next day another plumber shows up and was not able to get camera down the drain ""too many twists in the pipe"". Told me to call the city and ask where the city clean out was. Guess it wasn't important because it was COMPLEMENTARY. What a waste. Won't waste my time with this ""big named"" company again I'll stick to the people that run their own businesses and actually care. Their motto should be ""no warranty no guarantee"".
Just moved back to the area, and needed someone to come out and figure out a problem with a light that kept shorting out. They charged 370.00 as a ""diagnostic"" fee... That meant that he crawled up into the attic and saw that a squirrel had chewed through some wires. (Took 20 minutes)..He then told me that it would cost another 778.00 to repair it. That it would take 2 men and 3 hours to fix it. Called someone else.. and paid a little over 100.00 to repair it. I would have paid these crooks almost a THOUSAND dollars to repair something that was fixed for a hundred. Please save your money!! The most dishonest, opportunistic company.
Patti S.I needed an electrician and called them. Someone came out and fixed problem. He was nice. He left me with a quote for additional work that while didn't have to be done, would be nice to ensure all was well. Two weeks later I called and accepted the quote and made an appointment. Two guys came out for the appointment and neither was the one that initially came out who actually identified the problem. One of the guys that came out the second time was quite rude. He made it very clear he didn't understand what he was there for and kept asking me what he was there for. I thought it was clear in the quotes that his company had provided to me. He didn't seem to get it. So I told him that I guess I didn't need it and have a good day. They left. I have not heard from them. I have had no apology. I've had no reach out. I regret ever calling them.
Lisa M.Very friendly and supportive people! Work done quickly. Very nice fence put up. Would definitely recommend
Jimmy and Drew did an outstanding job for us in our Bywater home. Great workmanship and very professional. They only do electrical work one way...the right way. So glad we called Stuart Services. Replaced old two panels with one up to code lifetime warranty panel. Hung five ceiling fans with extensions. Installed two new chandeliers. Corrected wiring for old outlets, installed GFIs where needed and performed troubleshooting on old wires and connections. Very satisfied with Jimmy, Drew and Stuart Services!!!
I called Stuart Services last week for a couple of small jobs, initially. Jimmy replaced a faulty outlet and then offered to look at the electrical panel for me. I'm so glad he did. My panel was filled with corrosion and rust. Somehow rain had leaked into the panel. He presented me with several options and I decided to have the entire panel etc replaced and scheduled the job to occur in a couple of weeks. Well, long story short, I called him over the weekend and he was able to rearrange his schedule and installed the new panel etc on Monday. Jimmy and his coworker worked together to do the entire replacement on Monday instead of waiting until the original installation date. Thank you to Jimmy and everyone at Stuart Services!
