I have had Street Plumbing dispatched twice in the past six months by my Home Warrantee Company. Both calls ended very badly.
The first time they were called to clean a clogged sewer drain and subcontracted the job to an unlicensed and less than qualified individual with tools that would have been rejected at a salvage yard. His work was a joke, even to the point of forgetting to glue together the joints of a cleanout he installed in the wrong location. Along a bad instillation, I was left with a befouled garden where the sewer back-flowed. With with a disabled wife dependent on our handicapped accessible bathroom Street Plumbing left me with the inability to flush our toilets for three days. Street Plumbing had the audacity to then charge me for two service calls.
In the latest incident, after supposedly diagnosing a shower valve problem that needed a cartridge replacement, Street didn't show up as promised three days later. A call to the office resulted in being told that they couldn't find the part. There was no way they could have even ordered the part as the plumbing technician hadn't taken off the faceplate to determine what valve was installed. I was subsequently able to buy the part myself and had delivery within two days.
Street Plumbing and Rooter will never darken my door again and I suggest you not let them do work for you either..
I had home warranty company (American home shield) sent this company to fix plugged kitchen sink problem. The technician came 1 hr early than appointment without any early notice. He then told that he could not do the job because it requires going to the roof to clean, and it is not covered by the insurance. He did not ask for information such as where it is clean out which can use snake to clean the sink and it would be covered by the insurance.. He left and told the insurance company that he delivered the service covered by the policy, and I was asked to call this plumbing company for further solution with extra pay for that. I asked another plumbing company to come. This company is not the service provider of the insurance. However, it used clean out and took less than 1 hr to fix the problem.
I told the insurance company, and it turned out I still have to pay for this Street Plumbing & Rooter. IF it is just want to get more business, this is not right way. If the company has not right skill, the company should hire right people, the insurance company should not use it. Whatever, I am very unhappy with both the insurance and this plumbing company
Benito P.Original Review: Street Plumbing was assigned by my Home Waranty company. I had three plumbing issues to be fixed: leaking bathroom faucet, leaking toilet valve and a kitchen faucet that's hard to swivel left and right. Jun gave me a heads-up call a few minutes before he arrived. That was appreciated. Then I explained what needed to be done and he went about his tasks. The first problem took longer than expected. He went about the two repairs meticulously and methodically. Now I am waiting for a call back on whether the replacement of the kitchen faucet is covered by my warranty plan. Kudos to Jun: punctual, polite and professional. Highly recommended.
Updated Review 9/14/15. I'm afraid I have to revise my review downward. I never got the call back about the replacement of my kitchen faucet. The leaking toilet valve started leaking again.
There were so many bad reviews that I was very apprehensive. However, things went pretty well. My plumbing issues were fixed and the technician was professional.
They were on time and Josh was kind and courteous. He was fast, experienced and knew exactly how to fix the problem.
My only issue was that it took a while to get a call back (after 3 calls, 2 voicemails from me and notification from my home-warranty company). I'd appreciate quicker follow up to schedule my appointment.
I wouldn't have any fear calling them again in the future. Supposedly, some of the people who were responsible for their poor reviews don't work there anymore.
Thanks Josh!
I was lucky that my home warranty provided me this very professional plumbing services. Josh, the plumber, came in per committed time. He did an excellent job replacing my broken garbage disposal in less than an hour. He cleaned up his mess. He was polite and friendly. Many thanks Josh for making day
Had a leaking pipe inside the wall. Roland from street plumbing arrived promptly at the appointed time and fixed it in less than an hour.
Clyde and company took care of my projects quickly and professionally.
While they did not always show up on the time they said they would, they never missed a day and would work as late into the night as I was comfortable with. They finished before the original estimated time and for less then the original quote.
It is hard to ask for more from a contractor than that.
They will be my first call for my next project.
I had to create an account just to write this. Street Plumbing basically took my money for free. I called my Home Warranty Company to help me fix a leaky toilet base and Street Plumbing came to the house the next day. The plumber did not think there was a problem and was going to leave without doing anything but I insisted that he check it out. So he decided to remove the toilet without removing the water in the tank which caused a big leak and ruined a few of my towels. After he removed the toilet he found that the wax ring was basically gone so he quickly took what was left off and placed a new one and then put back the toilet. No clean-up of the flange or scraping of the old wax ring residue was done. He even used the rusty old bolts again. He placed back the tank and did a test, then cleaned up some of the mess he made and left with my $65 check. I had to clean the rest of the mess myself.
A few days later the toilet is leaking again so I decided to take a day off work and fix it myself which was a cheaper and more rewarding option. The plumber also may have caused a secondary leak in from the toilet tank which I also had to fix. Never will do business with them again.
I recently purchased a townhome and needed some plumbing work, namely two showers leaking, poor flowing sink, and a broken faucet in the kitchen. Street Plumbing and Rooter did a great job of identifying the problems immediately and getting them fixed without issue. Extremely courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, he explained every step of the way and made the process a great one. Highly recommended.
Sandy C.Joel, the plumber, who came out to fix our kitchen and bathroom plumbing issues hit on the big 3 P's: polite, punctual, and professional. He even slipped on shoe covers before coming in without my asking. It was a bit disappointing that he didn't slam-dunk solve the leak in the master bathroom sink on the first try. Instead of just a p-trap tightening issue, it was due to a lack of sealant around the faucet. Maybe a less obvious issue since water doesn't typically collect around the faucet for vessel sinks, but still.
Also, my kitchen faucet had a huge leak because the pull-out hose was busted. So, I needed a new part which could either take 1 day or a couple days depending on whether it was in stock. Either way, they'd let me know. But they didn't. So I went a whole weekend with a massively leaking sink and no word. Finally, I called them and talked to someone who must be bored out of her skull and couldn't care less about helping people. She threw scheduling obstacles at me until I refused to let the appointment slip anymore. I simply put my foot down, and then she backed down. So unnecessary. But at least all the leaks are gone now.
