This is a follow-up post to one I previously left for this company. I had a plumbing problem with my reverse osmosis system that has been leaking for years and Mike had just been to my house so I called him to come back and solve the riddle of the leak that could never be fixed (as told to me by other plumbers over the years that I have had an RO system, their answer was always the same, ""they all leak""). Not so, Mike had spent about 20 minutes or so and amazingly he found the source of the leak which was a broken fitting that was covered by a dishwasher drain hose and couldn't be seen with the naked eye. He needed to get some specific parts to make the repair and viola, no more leaking RO system. Since he had been to my house recently he gave me a discount on this visit although frankly his prices are quite fair given that most other plumbers are always trying to charge enough to retire on, he's just very reasonable imo.
All I can say is, if you have a plumbing problem and want value and top notch service for your money this is the man to call!

Mike and his team are amazing. We had a hot water heater go bad on us and no means of bathing or doing dishes. Mike trouble shot our hot water heater to determine the problem. Unfortunately, we needed a new hot water heater because ours was no longer manufactured and parts no longer available. Mike installed the new hot water heater and we are back up and running. They were professional and very good with pricing. We have some other plumbing issues we will be using him to fix in the future. Highly recommend Mike @Straight Flush.

In some ways I hate to write this review as I feel like I'm giving away a secret weapon! My husband and I had called in several companies in the past - some were outrageous prices, some never came back, others I didn't feel comfortable having in my house with young children around. Mike was such a great find! He arrives when said and never a long wait time, his prices are reasonable and he finishes the job and sometimes checks to see if we are happy later! I feel very comfortable around him and trust him in the house- which for me is very important. Mike is a rare find in this day and age!!

My boyfriend and I recently required a plumber as part of a home inspection for an estate that he is selling and we were pleased to come across this plumber. Mike had flexible hours and was prompt when an appointment was made. He took some time to think over what work had to be done before giving an estimate. He worked efficiently and effectively. After the work was completed, he adjusted his price to a number that was actually a little lower than what had been quoted. He was equally flexible with payment. Overall, a very positive experience and would not hesitate to call him again should we require anything else! We would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing expertise.

I have lived in Cliffwood Beach for over 8 years and I have had trouble with plumbers. When you buy a house you are going to need one. The first one ripped me off countless thousands of dollars and nothing that he did was in code. The second plumber from Matawan..corrected the mistakes of the first however proved to be unreliable and never answered the phone or returned calls. Well I had siding done on the house and an old spicket in a bad spot behind my boiler wedged against the began leaking rusty water on the house. My old plumber told me was way to busy. Well I used Yelp on my truck and Straight Flush came up. I called the guy ""Mike"" answered was underneath a sink at the time told me he would call me back when he was done. he actually called me back and told me he would stop by and did. Again stunned. Looked at the job and gave me a couple of options and an estimate. He showed up on time I had to apologize becasue I was late in getting home he told me no problem. After he started work it turned out he was off a bit and the job proved alot tougher then he thought. After a imprompto trip to HOME DEPOT he managed to fix the problem and gave me some tips in the future. He never asked for more money and apologized that he could come in a little lower on the price. He actually thanked me for my business!!! I highly recommend him.

I am so happy to have finally found an excellent plumber, with very reasonable rates. We had a leak in our shower that came through the ceiling below, and we have had a number of plumbers over a few years look at it, and no one gave us a solution that made sense. We kept having to cut a hole in our ceiling every time we were getting it ""fixed."" We were quoted outrageous prices in the thousands by other plumbers for solutions that were illogical (but would get them a $3,000 job).

Mike was a totally different story. First of all, he seems to always calls us back within a minute of leaving him a message. He is friendly and professional. He came (early to the appointment!) and told us what he thought about the leak and a few other problems that we had. Everything he said finally made sense to me. He had solutions that seemed pretty simple for problems that other plumbers seemed to ignore.

Mike gave us a free quote, and he said he wanted to give us the quote in about an hour, after he had time to really think about it, instead of just telling us a guess. He called us with the quote and it was less than we thought it would be. There were no hidden surprises later. We paid what we were quoted.

Mike discussed all of our plumbing issues with us thoroughly, and you could tell he was really giving everything careful consideration. He obviously cares about his work. We are happy to have finally found someone who will do quality work, in a professional manner, at reasonable rates.

As a home owner, one of the toughest things to do is find quality and responsible professionals to help with contracting work, namely plumbing.

I had the privilege and fortune to have met Mike, the owner of Straight Flush Plumbing out of Keyport New Jersey. In fact, I got his phone number from his truck as I was driving to work one morning, the same day that I noticed a couple of big leaks coming from (a) my basement ceiling, and (b) behind my washing machine.

About the company and service:
Mike was an absolute pro
1st, he arrived on time and in short order (in fact he came by the house two hours after I called).
2nd, he did not charge me a dime, even though he spent nearly an hour diagnosing the two issues and offering his advice on how to go about fixing it, even if i were to try and do it myself.

What did i do?
I did not try and do it myself. I can lay tile, put up sheetrock, and change a washer or two, but Im deathly afraid of messing with electrical work or messing with plumbing/pipes.

We agreed on a date for the following week. Mike told me how much the price of the plumbing work would cost, parts included, and he showed up on the agreed upon day to start the job.

Due to the fact that he needed an extra part, he came back the next day to finish what he started.

In Summary
Mike was reliable, responsible, and clean. No mess, no fuss, no haggle. He is what many plumbers are not these days, a man of his word.
