I am writing this with both regret and frustration. I started using this company several years ago and quite happy with the quality of their work, the plumber that came(I believe Kevin is his name) was very nice and very competent. Last month I called and spoke to a woman and told her that I was having new bathroom floors put in and the installer needed the toilets removed. So I had to coordinate the plumber to come remove the toilets and floor people do their thing. Now I know the plumbers on the Island give you a 4 hour window as to when the plumber will arrive, so I asked the woman on the phone at Storhsberg Plumbing if she could, on the day the floor installers were to come, if they could possibly put me on the front end of their schedule so the floor people can start their work. She was very nice but said NO, we don't do that. I almost pleaded with her, and again she was very nice and professional, but simply kept saying no. I was shocked. I thanked her just said goodbye. I shopped other plumbers and found one that was happy to work with me. Again, I was frustrated that Storhsberg wouldn't budge. Needless to say they lost a customer, and another plumber gained one. I know it doesn't matter to them, but sometimes you just gotta be a little flexible.
I used them for a renovation where they roughed two new bathrooms. I also had them do finish work. They could not have been nicer. They were a little pricey compared to another plumber who gave me an estimate. However, I was happy with the estimate and ideas that they came up with to adress some issues. I also went on a recommendation from another person thst used them.
I recommend asking that they send Kevin. He was very professional and was extremely pleasant. He took his time and explained everything.
Awful .
Nancy is arrogant and obnoxious . She manages the technicians and is dismissive, in addition to being non-responsive . She never lets you know who is coming to your home and never uses their names , just the word , "" technician "" .
We had a slow drain problem with a toilet leak . Charged $59 to "" diagnose the problem "" - this is not applied to the $500 bill to snake the toilet or the $275 to video . It is non-stop with the nickel & diming with this company .
The problem was still occurring after two more calls , and no resolution to the clog except another $1500 in payments .
DO NOT use this company - disreputable and a billing machine with your credit card .
I've used this company in the past with the normal results in 2014. The plumber came out, couldn't find the leak and got charged for the service call. I can't be helped, right? I figured I would give them another shot. Called to schedule a service call for one of my rental properties in LBI and was told that they were very busy with frozen pipes and ""shut-off"". It obviously was cold this past winter of 2015 and figured since the summer season was just a couple of months away I was willing to wait. I did advise that the first rental was June 1st. Both additional work with sheet rock repairs had to be scheduled as well. Nancy seems relieved and said that I would be on the schedule the following week.
Now it's April...I called them again to schedule the service and was told that I was on the schedule that week. Great...I thought. No, not the case...
I called again and was given a date of Friday, May 1, 2015. I gave the receptionist instructions to please have the plumber call me from the house (since I couldn't be there), and I would be glad to walk him through the three different leaks in the house. That phone call never came to fruition. The only call I received was from the girl in the office saying that she needed a $500 retainer on a credit card. The plumber reported breaks on the 1st level and I assumed they would go out the following Monday to repair them. After all, they did have my credit card number. Not the case. Their ""office girls"" never bothered to call to advise me that they wouldn't return until I called them again.
I found the receptionist, Cathy all well as the other girl, Nancy to be quite arrogant and crass. Neither was of any help to me because I was now told that were too backed up to go out to the house. Their attitude was such a turn off I scheduled another company to handle the service call. The first person that you speak with when calling a company leaves a lasting impression. I'll never do business with Storesberg Plumber again.
