Sonny Stokes established Stokes Mechanical over six decades ago because of the lack of reliable plumbing services in the area. Located in Lake Worth, FL, our office and fabrication shop is still active led by the leadership of his daughter Susan.

We developed our footprint throughout South Florida, gaining recognition as a prominent name in the construction of residential complexes, healthcare facilities, public and educational structures, and private commercial complexes. As we grew in construction, we recognized the demand for a service branch became apparent. Initially beginning with the maintenance of the properties we built, Stokes Mechanical's HVAC and plumbing service division expanded exponentially. Following the establishment of the General Plumbing branch to Stokes in June of 2013, it has become a more significant player in the South Florida area.

During 1995, Sonny passed the leadership to his daughter, Susan, who had been with the company since the early 80s. Starting out as a receptionist, Susan progressed through the ranks becoming the bookkeeper, lead estimator, VP, and currently President/CEO. Susan obtained a state license for air conditioning back in 1989 as well as a plumbing license in 1992, establishing herself as the only female mechanical contractor in Palm Beach. She garnered several honors for her accomplishments as a female-owned business leader and serving on the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board from 1997 to 2002.
