Fast, efficient, and possibly the best customer service I have ever received from a company. Stoddard plumbing is a family owned business who genuinely cares about their customers. After calling numerous places to help us with connection to sewer and septic tank abandonment (which if you are going through this it is quite a stressful process), it was so refreshing to speak with someone who actually wants to help you. Julie, who answers the phone, is incredibly knowledgeable about anything septic or sewer. She explained the entire process throughly to us and gave us all the information we needed. Vince was also incredible. He completed the project fast and efficient. They took into consideration surrounding landscapes and created the best game plan to complete our project. They truly are the best.
Thank you so much Julie and Vince ! :)

Do yourself a favor and hire Stoddard Plumbing. If you think you are saving $$$ by having a ""Roto-type"" big company who sends out an 18yr old to attempt to fix your problem, you most likely are not. Mark and his son are straight shooters and are not going to try and convince you that you need something that you do not (I can't tell you how many times other ""Roto-type"" companies have tried to up sell me on ""jetting"" service). What I expect from a company that has 30+ years of plumbing experience is what I got -the TRUTH! I feel fortunate that I hired Stoddard Plumbing to fix my plumbing issue and will no doubt be calling them should a plumbing issue arise in the future.

Stoddard Plumbing is quick to respond for pumping, snaking and diagnostics with fair pricing. Mark and Vince's experience and advice have been key to a smooth-running system that is over 60 years old. The Stoddards always treat us and our home with the respect and care of a good neighbor.

Professional & friendly! So glad we chose Stoddard to empty our septic tank. We originally booked another company which showed up hours before we were ready for them so we had to reschedule, and to them it was ""our mistake not theirs"". We were turned off by the rude person we spoke to so we tried Stoddard instead. From the first phone call for an estimate Julie was very friendly and gave us all the information on how their process worked. In addition she was very accommodating with our schedule.
Mark showed up promptly with a pristinely clean truck and was soon joined by his son Vince. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and gave us advice about putting in a step up for the tank & filter so we wouldn't have to go through the trouble of digging up all the dirt again next time. He didn't try to sell us a bunch of extra stuff we didn't need, he even said we seemed handy enough to build it ourselves since it isn't super hard to do. Vince cleaned the tank and inspected the boards and said we didn't need to replace them. They have boards with them just in case but he said our boards were fine.
Overall this truly was a 5 star experience! Julie can answer just about any questions you have if you give them a call. This is a family owned business of over 30 years and I'm happy to support our locals instead of big companies. They can handle any of your plumbing needs from commercial to residential. Don't waste your time with other companies, these people are honest, friendly and know what they hell they are doing!
Mahalo Stoddards we look forward to seeing you again and will be recommending you throughout our neighborhood!

Diagnose, troubleshoot, fix, and helps prevent future problems.

Fix it right the first time.

A week after hosting Christmas my sewage drain started backing up into the house. I called a Ernie's plumbing to come help diagnose the problem. While they did unclog the pipe and leave me with a $400 bill, the clog returned 7 days later.

This time I called Stoddard Plumbing, which I wish I had done in the first place.

Mark and Vince Snaked our drain, but then sent a camera to investigate where and why the drain was clogged. After finding a grease build up 1.5"" thick, they sent a second, wider snake down to clean the 4"" drain even more.

Their price to empty out septic was very reasonable and they schooled me through the entire process.

If you want a company that treats your home like their own call Mark and Vince first.

I have used Stoddard Plumbing now for 5 different jobs over the last 4 years. They came highly recommended from a friend and I myself would now recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing or septic work performed. The Team of Mark, Vince and Julie always go the extra mile to make sure I am 100% happy with their service. They are a FULL service company....they do it all (keep reading)!!!!!

Job 1: Sewage pouring into my downstairs bathroom. Stoddard arrived almost immediately. They found roots from large camellia bush in the pipes running from house to septic. They removed bush and replaced the damaged pipes. (5+ stars)

Job 2: Water heater under stairwell burst and had leaked for couple weeks without my knowing. They replace water heater with new, better unit, and cleaned up all the water damage throughout house (bedroom / living room / closet / crawlspace). This entailed repairing/replacing hardwood floors, drywall, carpet, painting, etc.). This was a big mess and Mark/Vince did an amazing job. The house looks new. (5+ stars)

Job 3: Replaced upstairs/downstairs toilets with new low flow units and cleared out upstairs blockage in shower drain. I'm starting to love these guys. (5 stars)

Job 4: Home warranty company hired contractor to troubleshoot electrical shortage in upstairs and found ""a short in electrical box on outside of house?"". They cut electrical wires to ""fix the problem"". Found out after a year that the that box went to the sump pump in the septic tank used to transfer liquid to my leach field (NOT HAPPY). Stoddard replaced all the electrical components (new box, conduit, etc.) and installed a new sump pump in the septic (old one had since seized up and was probably the original problem). I REALLY REALLY LOVE THESE GUYS. :D (5+ starts)

Job 5: Downstairs guest bathroom shower isn't turning off completely (water continues to leak). Mark/Vince found that the cold water stem gasket had disolved and the stem and screws had rusted through (water leaking behind the wall - EEEK). They quickly replaced all the problem hardware and made sure there was no damage to the drywall. (5+ stars)

Stoddard is already working on Job 6: replacing a faulty electrical box to my spa that trips continuously (stopped working after a couple months of usage).

If you haven't figured it out by now .... I am a customer for life!!!!

We hired Stoddard Plumbing to provide a home inspection for a home we were in contract on. They were responsive, on time and overall provided a positive experience during the inspection itself. Mark gave feedback to on the system and that it was in need of repair and his professional opinion. He said at the time that he would be unable to provide an quote b/c the repairs were beyond his scope and the county and engineers would have to get involved. However, he would be able to provide a ballpark of what was involved to get it to code.

It took over a week to get the written report, in part because they do not accept credit cards and would not release it until they received a check from us (Which it took 3 days to get a final bill).

The reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the report was worthless. For $1500 he provided 1 page report saying his recommendation was to work with the county for a quote. Upon talking to him, multiple times he agreed to include that the system was not to code but said he was unwilling to put in writing what he told us, saying again and again, I told you what you need to know. In a real estate deal, and for negotiations hearing something is not the same and putting in writing. I was extremely disappointed in the service we received.

My husband seems to think given his conversation with Mark that something has happened in the past and that was his reluctance to put in writing what he shared. If that is the case, he should not agree to provide inspections in the first place.

Based on other reviews, it sounds like he is a good plumber and my husband who is also in the building industry never questioned his knowledge or ability. Just be cautious if you're using Stoddard for a septic inspection. This is outside of their comfort zone.

I used Stoddard Plumbing today to assist me unclogging a rainfall drain that had been buried in the winter. They arrived on time and immediately set to work at unclogging the drain. They achieved their objective in forty five minutes and I was good to go. They charged what they originally quoted which was very reasonable. I will use Mark and his son Vince again.

Mark Stoddard, and his son Vince, saved the day! Such pleasant, professional, hardworking people! They replaced a long sewer line that was connected 20 feet under our street. They were very creative in deciding to use a new pipe that could go through our 45 year old cast iron pipe, ""busting"" it with the new pipe, thus saving us from very difficult trenching through an established garden. My contractor worked with them and agrees that they were an excellent team. Thank you Mark and Vince!
