RANDY HURT dba STL Contractors LLC dba STL Roofing and Waterproofing and his crew destroyed the hardwood floors in my home. Randy was quick to reply to my free estimate request and seemed knowledgeable about the job I hired him to do. After taking a 50% deposit we set up a date for the job of sanding, staining with medium oak stain and 2 coats of poly to our once beautiful hardwood floors. He showed up as promised, but I wish he had just taken the deposit and never showed up. Randy and his crew worked at my house for parts of three days and messed up every stage of the refurbishment. Gouges from the sanding, so much dark stain left on appliances, baseboards, doors and even spilled on the front porch. The stain leaked through the floor into the basement and made a huge mess. What he said was an oil based poly, is still sticky one week later. My rookie mistake of paying him the remaining balance before I saw the final product, because now I'm out over $1800. Randy took the money knowing he had done the damage, and then avoided my calls and texts for days. My occupancy inspection failed because of the stickiness of the floors and now I have renters that can't move in, which is costing $ every day. And now I'm doing the job all over again, more $$$. When I harassed him with phone calls, he did finally answer. I asked for an explanation and my money back, he said ""sue me motherf**ker and hung up.
