I found Stilwell Plumbing on Yelp and I am so glad that I did!

I've owned my house for 12 years and over the past few years, I have had problems with my plumbing to the point where my water bill doubled in cost. Apparently, pipe leaks and plumbing emergencies are something you just can't ignore. Over the years, I have had the experience of most Sacramento plumbers to be frustrating, incompetent and expensive. I cringed every time I had to find a plumber. It felt like plumbers were only in business to rip you off, do substandard work, or cause additional problems for repeat business. Maybe that's only been my experience?

But then I called Stilwell Plumbing. I won't use any other plumber.

Each time I have called Joe Stilwell, I have always had positive results. He has the highest customer service, most reasonable rates, and the highest quality work that I've ever encountered with home repair. He does emergency calls, big and small, 24 hours, 7 days a week, and he actually answers his calls or rings back in a timely manner. I have actually saved money, at least 50% on my water bill, received quality parts, and have paid reasonable rates since I began using Stilwell Plumbing.

One more thought, and this is important, Joe is the kind of person who is really good at his profession, experienced and honest. He's in business to provide the best service around -- I always feel that he listens to me and that my needs are important to him. I highly recommend Stilwell Plumbing.

Was greeted to a floor full of water and wastewater in our tub in our downstairs bathroom on a Sunday evening. We wanted to call someone local that would have some familiarity with the home builders in our area. We put a call to Stilwell Plumbing and got an appointment the next day. Joe arrived and had the problem diagnosed and solved within ten minutes. He was fast, friendly and gave some good advice if future problems occurred, and was very affordable. Would recommend him for any of your plumbing needs.

What does anyone want in a plumber? Come to my house, fix the problem and don't price gouge me. Joe is awesome and does all of that. Also gets bonus points for always answering his phone and getting right back to me. A+++

Last night, to my utter horror, my prized 1.31 carat diamond stud earring ricocheted off my makeup bag (I was trying to put the backing on before putting it away) into the bathroom sink and away it went down the drain. :( Normally I'm so good at closing up the drains... not this time.

I hardly slept thinking OMG it's gone. The 2.62 carat pair was a gift for myself after law school in 2008.

I called Joe this morning. Desperation in my voice pretty obvious. He told me he'd be over as soon as he could make it.

Joe was professional, super nice, and you can tell GENUINE in his sadness for me. The earring was never retrieved. But he made such an impression on me that even though I am sad right now, I had to write this review.

He's a full service Plumber- had the most impressive van/truck I've ever seen for a plumber. He looked as sad as me when we discovered my diamond earring decided to make its final home in the sewers somewhere.

Joe went as far as telling me about his friend's place called Gold Digger- said it's 5 star reviews on yelp- a jewelry store I can possibly find a replacement. Maybe I'll check it out. Right now, I'm still in mourning. What a bummer.

We had a clog in our sewer line; all our drains were backing up. I called Stilwell and they showed up the same day. Joe found roots in our line near the house. He was able to clear them out pretty easily and determine they came in through the corroded cap. He easily could have taken me for a ride and said the roots had ruined the pipes and I would have probably believed him, but he didn't. He was honest. He even gave me a suggestion that would help keep the roots out of it in the future. Also, we were talking for a moment and it came up that I had just installed a new garbage disposal for the first time. He asked me if I had removed the knockout. I had no idea what he was talking about, but he showed me on a disposal he had in the truck. I then went ahead and did that to my disposal after he left. Stilwell has done fine by me, and I am a life customer now. Joe was an all around good guy.

In a time where big companies kill the mom and pop shops it's no surprise why Joe stays afloat...because he's the best out there! WOW! Joe is the real deal!!! Well qualified plumber with decades of experience. I called him up with an issue I was having at my business. I had a pretty bad water leak coming from a mop sink that needed to be fixed quickly. I called the number and Joe answered my call while working another job. We spoke briefly and he listened to all of my concerns. We set a date and a time when he would come out and work the issue.

On the day work was to begin he showed up on time and was ready to work. He was able to find, isolate and fix the cause of my leak very quickly and even took the time to do some further trouble shooting to make sure the issue was fixed completely. Once the job was complete he even cleaned up after himself. The place looked cleaner after he finished than it did before he started. Here's the best part, the bill was well below his estimate and he was even willing to stop by later in the week to make sure I didn't have any other issues.

Joe is probably one of the last of his kind. Honest, knowledgeable, straightforward willing to do what it would take to make sure I was satisfied. I will call Joe from now on with any other pluming needs I may have. I suggest you do yourself a favor and call him first before you waste your time with other companies who are more worried about making money over doing what's right.
