IF YOU WANT A COMPANY THAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK. . .KEEP LOOKING.
On October 13th we had special higher commode installed in preparation for my husband's heart bypass surgery scheduled for Oct 20th. Today we discovered it is leaking around the bottom of the commode. Called to get a plumber to come and fix it (since my husband just had sixtuple bypass and has restricted mobility and needs the higher toilet because they stripped veins out of each leg to perform the bypass). If we'd known they would not be available if there was a problem with their installation, we would have used someone who stands behind their work and has a large enough staff to handle the business.
I was told there are NO plumbers available AND they can't tell us WHEN there might be anyone who can take care of what they improperly installed. So I guess they are all taking off for Thanksgiving early.
We hired a plumber to do it right so we wouldn't have any problems or if we did we would be able to call them- but now we are stuck without ANY toilet in the master bath for my husband to use as he recouperates.
Lisa R.I had a funny smell under my master bathroom sink and Keith came out - a very polite & nice person - and helped me figure out the problem. I would totally recommend asking for Keith next time you have a plumbing problem.
Highly recommend the team of Keith and Lane! Great guys, great customer service, extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, etc. There are not enough words. Keith is very detailed and very logical in his thought process as he tests and rules out different possibilities. He tested every possibility before resorting to cutting holes in walls. After exhausting every possibility, he called his boss (assumption) to run through all of the things he had done to see if the person on the other end had any other ideas etc. Keith cut a hole that he measured to pinpoint his guess rather than a random sized hole in a general area. Very impressed with Keith and his helper Lane. Highly recommend and will definitely use again. Thank you guys!! Keep up the great work.
Wow, glad I didn't check reviews before I called them out because my experience was fantastic.
Mother's Day weekend, Saturday 1pm. I'm drilling through a slab and hit a water line (that shouldn't have even been there!) I'm frantically calling ANYONE to get help, but no one has a tech available. Finally, I reach William from Steve's Plumbing and within two hours he's on site breaking up the concrete to get to the broken pipe, repairing it and by 4pm the issue is resolved.
I sign the invoice happy to pay the $420, but when I get an emailed receipt the charge is only $320. I emailed back for clarification to be told that there was an error in calculation and they were refunding the $100 to my card. I didn't even ASK for the refund, they simply saw the error and did it. Not too many honest companies out there like that. Good Job, Steve's!
Agree with a lot of recent bad reviews. There is clearly a breakdown in their management. The new manager sucks and has no customer service skills.
I feel ripped off because they collected my credit card info prior to coming out and then charged without as much as a call to confirm the completion of work. Contesting the $440 charge for clearing a simple drain with the credit card company. Needless to say won't be using them again.
Kelly A.I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service of this company. I will not use them again. I was greatly overcharged for them to come back to repair a plumbing issue that was done less than a year ago and should not have failed already. I've asked several times to speak to the owner to try to negotiate a resolution but he will not call me back. This is not how to take care of your customers......
I've used Steve's Plumbing before, and they're pretty good, but I had a bizarre thing happen. I called them in to locate a gas line inside a wall in the kitchen. Pretty clear that the gas line was coming down from the attic. Just needed a port and a valve for a stove connection. They came and gave me an estimate. Their estimate was to replace the water heater (duh?, a 12-year old unit that was doing fine), and to replumb the house gas (which is up to code). This estimate took a lot of imagination on their part. Gotta hand them that. Oh yeah, and to find that gas line. Um, whaaaat? Many, many $K. This was clearly an estimate from a firm that didn't want the job, I guess. I will avoid them in the future for any but simple tasks.
I later took a saw and exposed the gas line under the stove. It was hidden in the wall behind plasterboard. Valve already on it. It was built-in with the house, sixty years ago. Job done.
Glenn R.A friend of mine recommended this company. I called and made an appointment to replace a kitchen faucet. I used to do this myself, but getting under the sink is a job for younger people.
I got a call a little before the appointed time to see if I was available and I was. Larry and Thomas showed up and were just great!
One of the shut-offs under my sink wasn't working properly and they replaced it quickly and easily. They made short work of my new faucet as well, and it's a nice improvement.
These gentlemen were friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. Price was reasonable and fair. I'll definitely use this excellent company again.
Jay M.I have used Steve's for any years spending thousands of dollars with them, but no more. They first sent out one plumber that was taking a great deal of time, understandable due to the nature of the issue. However a prior plumber they sent, who no longer works there, did my entire home in 3 hours. After 3 hours he said he was tired and went home. I explained to the main office this was an immediate need so 2 days later they sent out 3 plumbers and rather than charging me the agreed rate of $155 per hour, charged nearly $400 per hour and took 6 and a half hours. When I received the bill I contacted Steve directly thinking he would be reasonable since I was a long time client, boy was I wrong. It was a very unpleasant experience. Needless to say we wont be using them again. I suggest you pass on this company.
I would like to add a couple more stars for Steves Plumbing. My 50 year old cast iron pipes needed to be replaced throughout my home. I obtained several bids and chose Steves. Eric was so helpful during whole process including language for my insurance company. (Still fighting for coverage) Project took 2 weeks. The courteous crew, sometimes as many as 10 were here all day even on the weekend to tunnel dig and tunnel the 3 access areas. They had to turn water off a few times but not for long and not without letting me know. They cleaned everything up and have checked in with me.
