It took a while for me to get scheduled but on the scheduled date the repairman from Steve's Plumbing called 20 minutes ahead, arrived on time, was knowledgeable, very friendly and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. Thank you!

Steve's Plumbing is the most reliable and honest plumbing company in town! I had a waterline break from the street to my house and they assessed the situation and gave me a competitive bid and got the job done within a day!

I'll be recommending Steve's Plumbing to all my friends and family.

As a professional Property Management Company, I used Steve's Plumbing for several years giving them thousands of dollars for worked performed. His work was mediocre and his billing simply sucks. Almost one year after he completed a maintenance on a home, we received a bill with three other bills. Bookkeeping paid those bills for the homes we still managed and the other $425 was not paid as we no longer managed the property. The management agreement states that I simply pay bills for the owner. I am not responsible once I no longer manage a property. Now, Steve's company paid no attention to the law and sued me. I contacted my attorney. It would have cost me as much in atty fees to file a Summary Judgement stating that I was the wrong party being sued so I settled for 1/2 of what was owed. My atty tells me that Steve is going after the owner for the whole amount. What crooks!!!!!!!

I have used Steve's plumbing for several smaller jobs (replacing toilets, sinks, fixing small plumbing issues) with our rent houses as well as our main residence and historically found the technicians to be very nice and very helpful. However, recently I have been extremely disappointed in the professionalism and quality of work that was performed. At our rent house, I asked that the hot water heater be checked out as well as two sinks and a commode installed. Without doing anything more than opening the door to the hot water heater I was told a new one was needed. The commode was installed but no caulking was placed around the base and it was not leveled. There was no caulking around the sinks except where the new faucets were put in. And there it looked like the technician just squirted the caulk, squished the faucet in place and left it. Not attempt to wipe up the excess caulk was made. And for some reason it took three trips to install the sinks. I should have paid closer attention to what was done to "fix" the hot water heater. a pipe was placed through the cabinet and was left draining out straight into the garage. When technician was called back out due to the toilet not flushing properly I was told it wasn't technician fault I bought a cheap toilet. Now, not sure why after that experience I decided to give them another try, but couple weeks later needing some work done during a remodel I again called Steve's. I explained that was under a time crunch as the issues were discovered after the kitchen cabinets had been torn out and plumbing exposed. The work would need to be completed before the construction could continue. A very nice gentleman came out, looked at what was needed and said the office would be in touch with an estimate. It took several days before anyone even called to get an email address to send the estimate to. By that time I had already called in another company and the work was completed. I am not sure if the quality of workmanship is a reflection of the management or if all the good technicians have just gone to work elsewhere.

I've worked with hundreds of plumbers nationwide over the years and I just wanted to personally say thank you to Brittany, Larry and your team Andrea and Lloye! I needed this project pulled off in a short amount of time and your team was amazing. Everyone was very professional and was happy to help me out when I was in a bind. They went above and beyond.

Also, I would like to personally give a big thank you to Brittany and Larry. She handled and coordinated (after hours) an emergency last night to ensure we met our deadline-she is just amazing!...and Larry has gone out of his way this week to make sure all of my plumbing repairs and inspections were completed before Monday. It is far and few between that I come across such a professional and hard working team and they deserve to be recognized because of this. Please know what a great asset they are to your company.

Thank you again and I look forward to working with your company in the future!

I had called Steve's on someone's recommendation to take a look at my hot water heater. The tech was pleasant and knowledgeable and diagnosed it as a circulation pump, and also pointed out corrosive valves & fittings, along with the amount of debris in the water due to it. Though the price was a little high, the repairs were all done within the estimate given, and they were not the highest price by far. The work appeared to be very well done. I was in the process of having a new well drilled, and the tech recommended I flush the water heater once a week for a couple of weeks until the well settles. Well, the first time I went to flush the heater, there was no flush valve installed, the tech had neglected to do it. I called the office & explained the situation, and asked that the owner called me back. After explaining the situation to him he apologized, and sent someone out the following day to install the valve. Things don't always go as planned, and it is those situations that really show what a business is about, and Steve rectified the situation smoothly & in an exceptionaly timely fashion. I'd definitely recommend.

I find it very telling that in all of your responses you continuously blame the customer instead of acknowledging that you did not perform the service requested. Your plumber did NOT replace anything in the upstairs toilet. This was verified by the second company that I had come out to do the service you said your tech could do.

After having another company come out, and having Manville come out, there was absolutely no issue with the PRV valve! It was in perfect condition. The issue with the low water pressure turned out to be the water softner which, had your techinician been a qualified plumber, he would have known that immediately. Instead your tech, and your receptionist wanted to insist it was a bad PRV. Once I had the water softner replaced, the water pressure returned to normal. However, the upstairs toilet continued to run.

Since you feel the need to badmouth your customers I will address the check issue. Yes, my daughter unknowingly wrote you a check from a closed account. It was a innocent mistake, and one I was willing to correct immediately. When your office manager called she was rude, accusatory and down right hateful. The mistake was NOT done intentionally, and I offered to fix it immediately. No, I was not going to pay the NSF because you were not charged one. It may have been wrong however when your office manager was hateful to me, and refused to acknowledge that NO work had been performed, and told me I would have to pay a new service fee just to get someone else to come back out to verify the first tech didn't do his job, I decided I was not going to pay the check. I did not feel that I got anything for my money especially when I had to have another provider come out and do the actual work!

You commented with this statement, "We offered to set up an appointment to come back out and service the commode that we worked on and we needed to collect the payment for the service that was already performed in addition to the returned check charges. You refused to have our plumber come back out to service the commode because you did not want to pay for anything additional if we wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. We explained that we offer a 90 day warranty on repairs and you would not be charged for coming back out unless we had to replace additional parts outside of what was previously done, but you would only be charged for parts replaced." This is an absolute blatant lie! At no time did anyone ever offer to schedule someone else to come out. I asked your office person to get someone else to come out only to be told I would have to pay another service fee, cost of additional parts, etc! That is crap especially when the work wasn't performed the first time. Not to mention, no one said a word about any kind of warranty! EVER!

In fact, today I sent you an email to prove that your tech did not repair the toilet with water bills for the past two months. I have lived in this house for 6 years, and my bill has never exceeded $35! Because your unqualified tech did not repair or replace anything in the toilet, my bill for January was $79! My bill for February was $111! I called Manville and it is a direct result of the toilet running continuously that was not repaired by your tech. We will see what kind of customer service you offer, and if you will pay the difference between my normal bill, and the rate I was charged because your employee did not perform the work I was charged for. My bet is that you won't do anything!

It is sad, but your company will remain in business because most people do not check out plumbers. You will continue to screw people over that call you for help. As I heard about you on KOKE FM I have let them know of your terrible service. Unfortunately Bob Cole continues to advertise you on the air because he wants to believe in good Austin businesses. You are doing him a disservice when he asks people to use you, and you fail to perform.

Steve's did some major piping repair under our home. For all I know the quality of work was good (fingers crossed) but it was the lack of communication on part of the company that was unprofessional. When we're paying thousands of dollars for a project we expect to be updated even somewhat regularly about how progress is going and when issues/delays are encountered. Every day there were new people doing the work (I don't think we ever saw the same people twice) and so there was no project manager to even figure out who to communicate with. We had to keep calling them to ask about the nature of what appeared to be additional work vs. them notifying us. And, of course, the folks on the phone are not engaged in the actual project so the information they provide is not so helpful. Anyway, we were quite dismayed when our final invoice showed an additional $1600. Again, additional unexpected work happens, I get it. But when you keep your customers in the dark until the final invoice (at which point what questions can you really ask?) that doesn't make us happy.

I don't know about the other reviews on here, my experience was that Brittany, the lady that answered the phone, was pleasant and knew the questions to ask. They sent a fellow named Larry out and he knew exactly what he was doing. We have had a number of plumbers out over the years and that's why I called Steve's, looking for a *real* plumber. They sent Larry. He knew his business, got in, got out, and I'm happy. Price was reasonable.
