Steve's Plumbing has lost my business. I have spent almost $1000 with them. Before they came out for the current repair, they added a hot water recirculating pump and moved my disposal from the right side to the left side of the kitchen sink. They had to add pipe and modify parts to make the disposal transition. A new employee did the sink work and I talked with the senior plumber while he added the recirculation pump. I know which was which because the new employee asked for guidance from the senior employee and the other tech, and I talked about the pump and how it worked. One evening several weeks later, we noticed water leaking from under the sink. When I looked at it the drainpipe from the non-disposal side had slipped down and had come loose from the pipe right below the drain. I was clear when I called that I felt the problem stemmed from their repair. The technician came out, as I watched him diagnose the issue, the whole apparatus dropped down a few inches which left a gap with no pipe where the trap met the pipe from the drain. The tech said that the builder should have had it held up in the basement with a strap. I asked why it wasn't corrected when they moved the disposal and re-piped the sink and he said he didn't know. He could however add a longer pipe which should correct the problem. He gave me no estimate or indication that this wasn't a correction to the previous work. I told him to repair it. He added a pipe a few inches longer and then gave me a $200 bill. When I called to dispute the bill, I was told the issues were separate and that the senior plumber said he did the work, and it was correct. Since I was an auto tech for around 30 years and have an understanding how things can get missed, if they would have offered to meet me halfway or explain why no estimate was given, I probably would have not felt so ripped off. But after speaking with the scheduler and her telling me that their master plumber said everything was done correctly and the charge stands, saying nothing about the lack of an estimate, I feel no need to support this company with my business. If you do use this company, make sure they put on your receipts what was done. It is not always clear in their electronic communications.

I needed a faucet replaced (I provided the new one myself) and the two pipes directly under the drains changed to PVC piping. I was told it would cost $200 - $275 maybe higher depending on what was encountered. The total after 90 min was $350. I paid and did not check their work (I had just had to put down my dog less than 24 hours earlier and was not thinking as I normally would. Two days later I found the sprayer doesn't work, I called and was told no problem they would be out to fix/connect it. Before they could come I got another call stating it would cost me a service fee of $125.00 for them to come and fix what they should of done to begin with. So that would of been $475.00 to exchange a faucet and replace two pipes, I feel ripped off and cannot afford another $125 so I will just have to have a sprayer that doesn't work.

Called for a quote on some broken plumbing and waited all day, no one showed up. No courtesy call, no apology, no serviceman. Guess they dont business very badly.
