They won't give you a quote over the phone for a sewer scope, but when they get there, they tell you their ""standard"" charge is $631. If they have a standard charge (which, BTW is $400 more than it should be), why won't they quote it over the phone? You have to pay for the service call ($30), which is better than Allen's ($60) and Allen's charges $675 for a sewer scope, apparently. Then, when I say ""no way,"" the technician tells me that they want to earn my business and so they can do it for $459 ($180 less than they just quoted me, and still $250 more than it should cost). Seriously, it would cost me less to fly a good plumber out from the mainland to take care of my plumbing issues.

Jeremy did a fantastic job for me. He is professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. After the job was finished, you would never know that he was there, everything was cleaned properly. One thing though, thought it was expensive but in the long run , worth it.

Be prepared for the hard up-sale and hustle for stuff you don't necessarily need. Not sure if I needed a new garbage disposal or drain cleaning when kitchen sink wouldn't drain properly. Steve's service man assured me it was disposal and wanted several hundred dollars to install one and I could get a super-duper hydro/turbo line clearing for another several hundred dollars. I opted to have my handyman install a disposal for less than $50. But that wasn't the problem. The drain was still clogged. I found a regular drain clearing guy to clear the clog the old fashioned way for a fraction of the price Steve's wanted. Just a regular clearing like Dad would do. Works like a charm. Lots of money spent needlessly and Steve didn't care. I would never call them again for anything although Maryann and Jade in the office were very polite and friendly. They are the best thing about this company.

Had the best experience with the Plummer Dan Cardenas at Steve's pluming! He was very professional and he was able to correct all of the problems with pluming we had . Garbage disposal, sink and faucet issues and setting up our in line water and ice maker for the refrigerator. Great job Dan!!!!

Expensive, not knowledgeable and makes up things that they say ""need"" to be fixed. they are liers and they don't know what they are doing.

I had a very minor repair that I could do myself, but elected to use Steve's Plumbing. I had all the parts which was just a gate valve. First on the phone they refused to quote an hourly price. I have been a contractor for 30 years, so knew what the job consisted of. A brightly colored van pulls in, driving over my hose and a nice enough guy Daniel comes out. He refused to give me an hourly price and proceeded to tell me that the 20 minute job would cost $500. I told him that was outrageous and he then dropped the price to $300. After several minutes he finally offered to do the small job for $175, but it would probably would not be any good. I asked him to leave and he charged $32 to try to scam me. I then did the job myself in under 15 minutes and I know it will be good. I would suggest not to use these rip off people and find someone on Craigslist. A friend of mine stayed in my house over the winter and Steve's plumbing charged $360 for a plugged drain. No wonder they can drive such nice vehicles. I feel sorry for unsuspecting members of the public who are being taken advantage of. I thought a dentist was expensive but they are cheap compared to Steve's Plumbing. The guy Daniel who they sent out looked too young to even be a fully licensed plumber, but of course I could be wrong. So unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I've seen their trucks around and the crazy prices on West Maui is nuts. The tech was informative neat and fixed my problem. Expensive, yes..expected yes. But when its plumbing or electical..yuk.....But I will use them again. Came right after I called. They were right on top of this. Yes..I will use them and refer them.

Got recommended to Steve's Plumbing by a friend. We had a leaking T&P (temperature and pressure) valve up on the solar panels that was dripping onto the roof. The tech gave us two prices, the standard valve with a 1 year warranty, and the premium valve with a 2 year warranty. Chose the latter because by paying a little more, I'm hoping for a better product. All went well and still is a year later. SERVICE: The office staff were friendly and professional, as well as the tech. OVERALL: Pricing is similar to competitors, go with your favorite.

I had a clogged drain in my bath tub and I decided to call Steve's Plumbing Services and boy am I glad I did. It turned out that I needed a new bath tub and Deven and Daniel was just so very helpful. First I got a courtesy call from the office to let me know that the technician was on his way. When they got to my home, they introduced themselves and got right to work. They looked at the problem, wrote out an invoice and told me step by step on what needed to be done and they gave me the total cost and let me decide on what to do. I wanted them to do the work so I asked them if I could make the appointment with them, and to my surprise, they said they could do the work that day. They left to get the new bath tub and returned in a timely manner. It took them the whole day to finish it but they made sure everything was working before they left, and, they even cleaned everything up and it looked like I had no plumbing work done...FANTASTIC SERVICE! I will definitely call them again if I ever need more plumbing work done. THANK YOU JESUS FOR STEVE'S PLUMBING SERVICE!

On 9/3/13 I spoke with company representative (Gina) to get a quote for repair of my water heater at my condominium. She explained to me that an estimate would cost $29.50 to dispatch a technician to assess what repairs are needed. On 9/4/13 my wife was contacted by the repair technician (Ritch) who requested her to pay $328 for repair of the water heater. Interestingly, our tenant had also called and informed us that the technician had only reset the thermostat. My wife queried why she was not contacted to agree to any repair first and, she also expressed her concern as to why the cost was so high just to reset a button. After talking to my wife, I called the main office and spoke with Gina. She changed her story and tried to convince me that the cost of repair was the actual estimate cost. I told her she was trying to hustle me, and that I would report her to the local authorities. So, I did. I submitted a police report with the Maui Police Department. I also included in my police report, a picture of my missing water heater thermostat. The technician (Ritch) had actually gone back to my apartment and illegally removed my thermostat, after we informed him that we would not pay the gouging cost of repair. This is appallingly unacceptable. I never agreed to any repairs, nor did I ever sign a contract to make the un-agreed to repair. My property was thus, stolen, and the water heater, vandalized.
