Unrealistically expensive. Designated, kitchen tankless heater is $350. To replace it was $1800 on top of that cost. Not even an hour job.

I had a leak in my shower wall and Steve's Plumbing sent Leland out right away. Leland did a great job communicating with me about the job, even though I was out of town, using FaceTime and sending photos. He was able to open up the drywall and diagnose the problem, and was able to fix it all that afternoon. I was so relieved to have it taken care of right way.

They are not a local company. They say their tech will call you 45 minutes out. I asked for morning. It is 3:02 and the tech just called and he is 1.45 hours away. They are untrustworthy, independent,and will do anything to get a job, include fabricate stories to suit your needs. DO NOT CALL THEM. THEY ARE UNRELIABLE.

Although Josh did amazing work, very responsive, worked over the weekend, their invoice was beyond outrageous. We paid them a whopping $14000 --yes fourteen thousand dollars--for a 180 foot line that they took no more then 20 hours for two workers to replace. Even at $100 each would equal $4000 plus $1600 for materials 1""copper K water line, we were charged almost triple what we should have been charged. Just because they can charge that does not mean it's okay. To the owner, Steve Huffman, we are disappointed on how you take advantage of your customers.

Wanted to get service for my ac, Tech super nice, but still get charged 30 dollars for them to come out, can't diagnose without a 500 dollar charge so yeah that was disappointing.

I own a condo on the Big Island and THIS IS THE WORST PLUMBER I have ever tried to use. I have called them many times recently only because a friend praised them. What a lousy judgment on my part. This plumber will say ""we don't have your name in our database."" When you complain about their lack of service, they will say ""we don't have your name in our database."" Isn't that an easy way to excuses themselves for lack of service? Don't use this plumber unless you're truly hard up. Their lack of responsiveness and insincerity are heartless. Please look elsewhere.

Called Steve's Plumbing to schedule a simple shower valve replacement job. Representative showed up and quoted the job as over $740! He went on to explain that Steve's Plumbing charges $500 an hour! Apparently, my fault for not asking when I booked the service. Cost me $31 to cancel Steve's Plumbing. Called another Kona plumber who charged $225 for the same job.

I'm on the mainland had needed someone to come look at our AC in a vacation home in Waikoloa. We had someone renting the condo and the AC wasn't working. Called around no one was available. Called Steve's on a Sunday, they had an early appointment on Monday. Jake came out and was knowledgeable, caring and got the AC working. Definitely will use Steve's again.

Jake came when scheduled with a helper. They did routine HVAC service at the price quoted, including getting me new filters. Jake recommended some repairs and options for addressing the problem I knew I had. They cleaned up before leaving. On schedule, and on budget; hence my high rating for Steve's.

I hired steves to diagnose a problem I was having with my tankless hot water heater. When they arrived they informed me that the tank I had been using wasn't worth repairing. I had a spare tank that I was going to use for another project, I asked the technician if it was worth putting it in. He informed me that it looked good but he couldn't guarantee it since it was their tank which was understandable. After about 3 hours they had the tank installed and informed me that it didn't work. I assumed since they had checked it out it would at least function. (It had only been used for 2 years prior). They gave me an estimate for $3,500 for a new tank from them to install. I was charged $860 altogether and still had no hot water, the only parts they supplied were small fittings and tape. I thought this was a ridiculous price considering the circumstances and called to complain. I immediately started to get the run around, I had to call 4 times just to get someone to call me back. When I finally, after several days got a call back it was from a very rude manager who made it clear from the beginning that he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. He told me that the tank they had put on had been discontinued, I mentioned that if the technician had given me this info (as he should have as a professional) I would not have had them install it. I tried to reason with him and hope for the best and after a couple of minutes the manager hung up on me. Very bad company, very unprofessional, total rip-off. I thought since they were a new company to the island I would give them a chance, my mistake. I would not recommend them to anyone.
