We knew we had a leak somewhere and we knew it was bad. The meter showed we were losing over a gallon a minute. I contacted my regular plumbing company. They were not able to find the leak and told me to work with a leak detection company. I found that Steve's Plumbing specialized in leak detection and had the sophisticated equipment we would need to locate the leak. The Steve's Plumbing truck I so often see around the island pulled up a couple hours after I called. Jeremy jumped out of the truck, quickly listened to me and got right to work. He identified the area of the leak and it was in our main water line under our stone lanai. He made a neat puka in the stone, only to discover that the main line was a sixty year old galvanized steel pipe. The pipe was in bad shape and repairing it would involve a lot of jackhammering on the lanai and would be, at most, a bandaid. We made the difficult decision to repipe the entire house. With the meter going crazy and water shooting up through the lanai, the easiest thing to do would have been to turn off the water and leave the house during the repiping. But we have two rental units attached to our home and both are occupied. So turning off the water for a week wasn't an option. The first of several brilliant solutions Jeremy came up with was on that first urgent day. He rerouted our main line through a garden hose to the hot water heater and from there to key locations. That stopped the leak and kept our water going. For the next seven days, there was noise, there were surprises, there was water on and water off. But Jeremy was so respectful and kind to not only me but my tenants. He somehow managed everyone's expectations. I'm not going to lie. This is a big, disruptive and expensive project. But over a week's time, Jeremy arrived first thing in the morning, jumped out of his truck, got immediately to work and didn't quit until twelve hours later. I had to force him to stop and eat. He never left until what we expected to be working was working and everything was neat and tidy. Jeremy explained everything that was going to happen before it happened. He was skilled, creative, clear and kind. I hope you're never in the urgent position we were in. But Steve's Plumbing is the company to call if you are.

we call Steve's plumbing for all plumbing issues. latest was a water pressure and temperature issue. Service was professional and timely. We were given option to follow up with another service but chose to wait and see what happened. Very happy with results!

I had an emergency plumbing issue at my house, while I was at work so started calling around to have companies come out for an estimate. As you could expect, many couldn't come out that day for a estimate, which was totally understandable. Many of these plumbers even provided some advice, which was extremely nice of them. Steve's Plumbing stands out, because they have you go through what I would say is a ""call center"". Complete with everything a call center entails. Before they answer any questions, they wanted your name, address, email and phone number so they can create an account for you. Remember, this before they can answer any questions. Finally, they set up an account for me and I ask if they provide free estimates, they said they do (awesome). Unfortunately, they were booked, but said they could possibly do after hours, for a LARGER dispatch fee. After they said that, this was our conversation: Me: Larger fee? Wait, does that mean there is a dispatch fee during normal house? Steve's: Yes Me: Then, you don't offer free estimates Steve's: Well, we do, the estimate is free Me: BUT, in order to get this ""free"" estimate, there is a dispatch fee Steve's: Yes.......... Me: Thank you, for clarifying, I'll call back if we need anything Steve's: Wait! Is the issue the dispatch fee? Maybe we can get you in for tomorrow, when the dispatch fee is lower. Me: Thank you, I'll consider, but I need to go Steve's: Wait, maybe we can lower the dispatch fee for tomorrow too? Me: Thanks, but I really have to go #1. I am dealing with an emergency plumbing situation, while I am at work. All my other calls to other plumbers were, fast, more helpful AND they didn't need to set up an account to answer my questions. #2. It seems a bit disingenuous for their people to say they offer free estimates, if there is ANY fee to have someone provide an estimate......it isn't a free estimate. I am glad they were booked, because, I could have easily booked them and found this out AFTER the fact. Just my experience

We experienced a freak incident on Thursday, 1/4 early evening that broke a pipe! Now we're out of water! Yikes! Immediately, we searched for a plumber for after hours and found Steve's Plumbing. I called and left a message, we received a call back instantaneously. I don't recall her name, very pleasant and courteous. She was able to contact a tech that showed up within the hour! The tech named Alex arrived, very professional and cordial. He assessed the broken pipe and was able to modify the pipe for the night. Hooray! We had water! He returned the next day to complete the job with a partner named Colin that was also very pleasant! Alex and Colin were the heroes! Everyone I was in contact with from Steve's was very attentive and professional with awesome follow through. I would definitely refer them to anyone that has a plumbing need. Again kudos to Alex (lead) and his partner Colin for an outstanding job! Steve's Plumbing you're doing an awesome job training with your entire staff. Keep up the good work! Sonny came to my house to change a wax seal and tighten up the toilet to the flange because of a leak. They were going to charge me but I explained to him that this toilet was just installed and had a warranty. He quickly called his manager and got the job done for free. I appreciate the honesty and hard work from Sonny. I will continue to do business with Steve's.

I rate this team 5 stars and had an overall pleasant experience with Steve's Plumbing. I was able to schedule a Steve's Plumbing Services appointment around 3 in the afternoon with no problem. They would have come out within a few hours but it wasn't an emergency so I had them come out the next morning at 8 a.m. Maka and Joel were right on time. My project was more than a repair or replacement. I had them install a Moen Flo shutoff valve and that required the removal of an old backflow valve and re-route the pipes a bit. I also needed them to provide a hose bib and connect to existing piping for my sprinklers. I was given the option of having the fittings soldered or made with the ProPress fittings. I opted for the ProPress fittings. Maka mentioned that if he was to replumb his home he would use the ProPress fittings so that sealed my decision to go that way. The piping was a bit complicated but they knocked it out pretty quick and it is very professional looking. Absolutely no leaks. Great job guys!

All we needed was the faucet in the kitchen replaced. The plumber came with a really nice selection of faucets to choose from and did a good job. I told him we were trying to keep costs tight since we are in hard economic times but he seemed determined to keep adding on other items over and over till I finally had enough! It waqs like dealing with a USED CAR SALESMAN! The work was professional but the job ended up being over $1000 with the faucet replaced and the drain pipe from the sink. I was shocked! Never again!

Junk charged me for an estimate that I did not need to change called to see if they could replace a corian sink plumber came over said he could not do the job then came me a estimate to replace garbage disposal WTF

well..the fancy paint jobs on the trucks...tv commericals..etc...an efficient call in system..plumber came on time...then it goes south..the plumber wasnt able to get parts on a electric flush toilet bought at hm dep one year ago...ok no problem a $50 visit fee..no problem...i asked if i provided a new toilet what would they charge to install?...i was quoted $500 labor only...i come from a plumbing family...i said HOW MUCH????? i then decided to do it myself..i live up north shore..drove down to waikiki i removed the old toilet in less than 5 minutes..bought a new toilet complete at ACE $170 with everything...installed new toilet w eax ring etc...it took me a total time of 50 minutes including hauling the old toilet out....so do the math...there price equates to about $800 a hour....run from these guys..that $500 quote..well they gotta pay for the commericals..office..billing etc..i get it....u r better off finding a independent guy....oh the kicker...guy told me since i was supplying the toilet...they would not warranty anything....buyer..BEWARE
