I actually had Steve's Five Star Service come out in January for repairs to my heater and they told me my unit was broken and needed a whole new AC/Heating unit. I was frustrated at the technician because all he did was open the unit, looked in there for 5 minutes then looked at the thermostat, then showed me his tablet telling me could try to fix it for 1,700 but there would be no guarantee it would stay fixed because it was old and outdated. He said I would probably have to get a new unit anyway. He said ""We can offer you a great financing program."" and I told him to leave. After talking to multiple people who knew how upset that guy made me, the consensus was to try someone else. I did exactly that and it cost me $200.00 to fix and its been working great ever sense. So much for Five Star Service!

It is rare today to deal with a company that has Superior Customer Service. My issue was with my heater. Steven Wood was my technician. He was thorough and explained everything to me. Parts had to be ordered. A time line was provided to me and the company followed up promptly to schedule the work to be done. Upon completion of the work, Steven showed me the bad parts and explained what had occurred. Steven made sure my carpet was protected and there was zero mess. I highly recommend this company. In addition to heating and air conditioning, they also do plumbing.

Great company! Very efficient, professional, reliable. I used them for a whole house copper repipe. Nick supervised the project from start to finish. He did an awesome job, but their whole team was great. My house had aging pipes and plumbing was a mess. They did careful prep work, taping off areas in the house and covering floors and the ground in the work areas to minimize the spread of dust and dirt. Everything was done to code and I couldn't be happier!

They came today as scheduled to replace my AC Ducking. Both technicians Andy and Daniel were very professional and courteous. Their expertise were very commendable. This company is very commendable. I had them do a tune up on our AC and Heater. They sent John out to us the customer service was grand! John was awesome! He explained what the process was before he began the work and gave a thorough explanation after. I've also had them out when I had a leak. They came out to inspect and spent about 2 hrs here at ended up referring us to a leak specialist. There was no charge as they could not find the leak. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find honest companies but I'm glad that I found one!

Recently during the record-breaking heatwave here in Southern California, my HVAC system, which had acquired some age, failed to operate. Thus making occupation in the house unbearable as well as dangerous. I have engaged Steve's 5 Star Service for many years for both HVAC and Plumbing services. They came by and did an analysis of the system which basically was aged. As a result of this and the fact that new laws regarding coolants related to the original system from some decades ago were no longer readily available nor some of the parts, the decision was made to install a new system. This would then bring my system into current compliance with the related laws as well as provide me with a new system which I needed. Inclusive of this, of course, would also be a newly warranted HVAC system.
The technicians who came to install the system, Andrew and Daniel, arrived on time as agreed to begin the several hours' process to install the new system. Both technicians were extremely personable and began by thoroughly prepping the work area. It was obvious that they were both quite highly knowledgeable about the work they were doing, and worked fairly quickly yet efficiently. They answered all questions that I had about the installation process and were able to impart other related information to me for my own edification, so that I would have a better general understanding of the overall operation of the system. It should be noted that they imparted this information in a clear and understandable manner. Fortunately, they were able to complete the install a little early, activate it and return the house temperature to a bearable and safe level. Thus ""rescuing"" me from the prolonged heatwave we were experiencing and from being forced to stay in some hotel. I appreciate both Andrew and Daniel's personable and professional demeanor........they represented their agency very well in this situation. I also appreciate Steve's 5 Star response in this situation as I do with all of their service-related calls to my home. Roy C.

Anyway, I called the company on Wednesday who scheduled an appt for me the next day. John Zabatta showed up and he was nothing but professional. John placed foot protectors on his shoes before entering my house. Sometimes it is the small things that make a difference. John found out what the problem was and addressed it.

I continually go back to Steve's 5 star because they have proven to be trustworthy and honest and if anything goes wrong they stand by their work. I appreciate everything you do to meet my needs in this very hot weather.

Those reading my review, there is no need to look elsewhere, you will find that the employees are professional and knowledgeable.

I sent them to my rented house for service for AC units and they were unable to fix it and gave me 3 options to choose. Which are replacement only. I said to fix or repair but tech guy said ac unit too old.

Well then, I can't afford that 13k unit and left with choice of let them go and call on other vendor. This guy asked how much can I afford so he can talk to his boss about it ?! Sounds very creepy and scam kind of question.

I got it fixed by other vendor with $420 and all he said was there a leak and add coolant to it!!! He did mentioned unit is old, coolant can still be purchased now but not sure in the future tho. He didn't charged me for the $89 fees just to diagnose the problem like this place did.

Well, I'm disappointed and gotta give them a 1 star.
