We have an older home. We also have a plumbing supply store about 2 minutes away. That never, ever has what we need -- they cater to new and newer construction only.

Stevenson Supply is about 20 minutes from us....and worth the trip. We've never gone there for anything that they didn't have, including fittings and fixtures other places don't carry. Their advice is good -- we've never gone wrong with what is recommended.

A friend recommended them to us, and we've been thanking him ever since.

When I went to buy a water heater from these guys the counter guy quoted me a price. I forget the exact amount, but the numbers will explain my experience. He quoted around $500. He then asked me for my license number. I was like what license. He then, right to my face, quoted me about $900 for the same water heater. I said to him, its three connections why would I need a plumber. I turned around and walked out. Never went there again.
