My whole family has used them for years for various plumbing emergencies. They are family oriented, not just another plumber, good to know you have someone you can trust with your home. It was a no brainer when we recently bought an older home built in the '50s that we contracted them, and they did an exceptional job with a full home re-plumb and master bath add on. They are dependable, fast, work you into their schedule to fit yours, and work hard. We appreciate them explaining things they are doing and why. They do make sure to listen to our needs and to keep the cost down which is a bonus for US! Strongly recommend.

Lied, took my money, and problem worse than before ! I called Steve Shepherd Plumbing, and had the disposal and toilet fixed on a Saturday (Saturday hours is why I called in the first place). I paid my bill in full that day, $200. 1 day later, the toilet had water running all day and night (and did what I know to do in this circumstance like jiggle the handle and clean the stopper, etc), so I called and actually spoke with Steve """"No problem"""" he said. The problem got worse, I left MANY voice messages describing the problem, even left another voice message at 10:30 pm one night to let them know the problem was worse than before they came the first time to 'fix it'! Fortunately, on another day, a woman picked up the phone (by accident probably) and I was told that """"Steve is out of range for a phone call, but let me text him and let him know that you will be at your apartment on Saturday afternoon, he will come and fix the problem"""". I was assured that Steve had my full address and correct phone #. WAITED THE REST OF THE DAY SATURDAY - NO CALL, NO STEVE SHEPHERD !! Forget about leaving a message, please. They will come out, 'fix' the problem, take your money, and you will never hear from them again !! Liars !! Thieves !! ps - I live in Maitland, FL, not San Francisco...

Steve Shepherd Plumbing is the best there is. I called this company when referred by two excellent small businessmen; an electrician and a plumber, who remodeled my bathroom. Honest skilled workers know other honest skilled workers - and that's what I got when I called Steve Shepherd. Called him on a Friday afternoon and left a message. He called me back the next day, SATURDAY MORNING, and was able to come out that same SATURDAY MORNING. He told me what the problem was - (which was far more involved and expensive than I thought it was going to be, the full repair I mean) - he then made suggestions that would allow me to live with the problem until I could make arrangments/save the money to properly fix the problem. He gave me options - and DID NOT OVERCHARGE ME. If you want to hire skilled labor who do not lie to you, do everything they can to help you, and not overcharge you - call Steve Shepherd Plumbing. ps - I know this review sounds like a commercial, but I am a really picky (and not wealthy) consumer. And not related to the family, or friends from church, etc etc..

He came out promptly to inspect the site for a quote. Kept promising to get it done for over 2 months! I finally asked him (in a voice mail) to at least let me know if he wasn't going to get it done, but never heard a word back from him. Wasted our valuable time and money.
