I was in need of a plumber for some work I needed to get done before finishing my basement. I looked on Yelp and noticed all of his good reviews so I decided to give him a call. After playing phone tag a few times we finally touched base. At his request I sent him some pictures of my burner and boiler. He called me right back and was honest with me that the type of equipment I have I should have my oil service company do the work so if there is any issues with the work it would be their liability. I really appreciate Steve's honesty. He could have come by, done the work, collected his money and disappeared. I'm glad that's not his style. I highly recommend him.

called christmas eve morning and was able to come over right away to snake my sink that wouldnt drain and was starting to really stink up the place. steve was quick, professional, and friendly. reasonably priced too. great experience!

Steve is nothing less than amazing. If you have an emergency let him know. Otherwise, know there may be a wait.

He's definitely worth the wait!

He came over, worked fast, and even let my daughter watch him and talked with her. He was so kind and sweet. Since we JUST bought a new home he took a look at a few other things I had questions about while he was here. He's very knowledgeable, and while I hope we don't need to see him too often I would never consider another plumber.

After a valiant attempt to replace my shower faucets (where I managed to strip the faucet seat), I contacted Steve through Yelp. He called me back within a few minutes, and later that day he stopped by to take a look. To make a long story short, we now have a nice single-faucet shower thanks to Steve! Very reasonable pricing, incredibly quick responses to my questions, and he was knowledgeable and friendly!

I called this business and left a message with their service on Sunday, it is now Wednesday afternoon and they have not even called me back. So I would not recommend them.

I contacted Steve Lauschus Plumbing to replace me hot water heater and he was responsive when I contacted him initially. He requested I send him pictures of my current hot water heater and specs, once I did that he said he would look into it and get back in to me. I gave him a few days and he didn't contact me, so I contacted him again, he said he had a few jobs and would contact me later...it has been approximately 2-3 weeks and no response. After reading all the great reviews, I was very surprised and must say I am disappointed. I will not contact this plumbing company or suggest to anyone ever. A simple phone call to say I can't take on your job at this time would have been nice instead I was ignored by Steve Lauschus Plumbing.

Steve helped my elderly mother in Suffolk Co. by redoing a bathroom that hadn't been done right originally including finding an underground pipe leak & re-leveling the shower floor & installing new fixtures. He was very friendly & professional & did things right & the price was fair. We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a plumber in the area.

I called this company and they never returned my call. Then,I decided to try reaching out through Yelp because the reviews on Yelp were great. I did get a call with in an hour but the guy said I lived too far. I explained that we were near Lindenhurst and Massepequa and he felt that we were too far for him to come and install a new boiler and he also mentioned that he had 3 boilers to work on already. I undertand that Steve was being honest but I couldn't understand because some of his reviews on yelp are from Massepequa? (maybe even two...not to mention Babylon reviews....Copiague is not that far from these locations! ) My 3 star is because I felt that this person didn't want to come to Copiague not because of service...unfortunately I can't rate the quality of work ...which I'm sure is great....but I 'll never know....btw...he did mention that if we couldn't get anyone to call back.......but that didn't make any sense...I felt really hurt that he didn't want to come to my neighborhood! I could understand, ""busy"" but not ""too far!""
