Steve is the best. Stands by his work and the warranties of the gear he uses. Now, he uses the best brands, so it isn't cheap. He's one guy with one truck, so if you are looking for a heating/plumbing guy with an army of trucks on 24-hour, middle of the night, holiday weekend, call, etc, this is not the one. But, for white glove service plus state of the art technique and test equipment, this is the one you want. Perfect for replacement of furnace, filters, A/C, upgrade the bath stuff etc.

We are very disappointed in the service we received from Steve Herrin. He was supposed to come out and fix our toilet based on the appointment time he set with us. After the end of the range of time he had given us for him to arrive, he called and said he thought the appointment was for a later time and he would be an additional 45 minutes from the later time. No apology nothing. I let him know that would not work for us, so he said he would call me the following day after 4:00 to re-schedule for the following week. That was over a month ago. Never called. Never apologized. Nothing. He left us in the lurch. Too bad as he knew we were considering using him to upgrade our heating & cooling. If you can't show up when you say you will, can't call when you say you will, don't bother to even apologize...forget it. 3 STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT!

Steve was great. We called him for an AC estimate. His price was competitive and when it came time to install it, he was very professional and friendly. He was very neat and clean, never leaving a mess. His demeanor was kind and polite. As a new mom with a 2 month old baby, I felt very comfortable having him working in our home. My husband is a licensed contractor and he was very impressed with the quality of Steve's work. We will recommend him to our friends and family.

A neighbor recommended Steve a couple of years ago for a couple of plumbing issues, and we haven't used anyone else since.. He has worked on several bathroom upgrades (and a couple of emergencies) for us and has continued to earn our business: highly competent, courteous, respectful and (new to our experience with most trades people) reliable. In a couple of projects he did for us, he had to take out portions of walls, and when he scabbed in new pieces of drywall, it looked like the wall had not been touched. He also leaves the work space whisk-broom clean.

He's also got a great sense of humor, which doesn't hurt. in my 25 years of homeownership I have dealt with ~30 contractors. I recommend only 3, of which Steve Herrin is one.

Steve Herrin is a wonderful plumber/heating and cooling expert! He fixed our water heater and installed a new furnace with 100% professionalism. He took into account the home association rules, City of Novato permits/inspections and our condo's limited space. Best of all, he always thouroughly explained the options and made solid recommendations. Steve is an all-around good guy that we'll recommend to friends and family without hesitation.
