My late husband had his own plumbing business so I never had to find one. I wanted to switch my toilet to an ADA compliant one and needed a plumber. After reading so many great recommendations on next-door I called Steve Harp and he said I soon as I get it to call him. I picked one up at Lowes on Monday and he was out Wednesday morning to install it. The night before my kitchen sink backed up so he cleared it when other plumbers in the past had failed. I mentioned the next project would probably be a new water heater because mine is so old and only making ""warm"" water now and asked how much a new would might cost. He said let me look at it. Even though it is about 25 years old he said it was a good one and it might just need a part that he had on the truck. He fixed it while here. I am sure others would say that it was so old I need a new one and charge me a lot of money. Not Steve! He and his son were so professional, fast, friendly and reasonable. Thank you Steve for your professionalism and honesty.

Steve is the real deal. Accept no substitutes. I'm a satisfied customer for about 15 years. He and his guys have fixed everything from minor to major, including helping us live with some serious flaws, rather than spending more than $10k for the more permanent repair Jobs that just about anyone else would twist the story to get us to cave. Most recently, at 10 pm on a Friday, I tried and failed to fix a broken shower handle myself. I called explaining how our water needs to stay off till I can fix it. He gave me his address and sold me the parts to easily install myself, talked me through it on his front porch, and even referred me to YouTube if necessary. Steve is the best.

After two plumbing companies tried to clear our main line to no avail and recommended getting an estimate to rebuild it, Steve and his son Randy came to the rescue and cleared the line. They were able to get the snake down a tricky turn and added a new line to make it easier the next time our main gets clogged by tree roots. Hopefully not for many years to come! They said they love to fix what other plumbers can't. They prefer to fix rather than replace. I liked the sound of that because a new main line could have been a small fortune. So happy to have had this father/son team get our showers and toilets working again!

Unlike other plumbers who make you feel like you're not a priority, Steve gives fantastic customer service. He and his son fixed the issues in my condo and didn't overcharge. Another problem I find with other plumbers. The estimates I got was $300+ for the repairs and Steve fixed it in less than 30 min for half the cost. Highly recommend if you want good work and not to get ripped off

My mother had a problem with her bathroom sink that was exacerbated by another plumber who never showed back up to finish the job he left undone. A friend gave me Steve's number and he was there within an hour. He was professional, quick, knowledgeable, and very reasonable. He fixed the damage done by the incompetent plumber before him, and left my mom very happy. We've recommended him many times over to friends and colleagues. Steve and his assistant are excellent!

TL;DR - 5 starts for Steve and his son. I'd recommend anyone needing plumbing work to get Steve to look at it first for his thoughts. It could save you thousands...literally.
Long story: My water heater starting leaking and stopped working yesterday (Sunday); I called three local plumbers in the area, including Steve.
First one showed up several hours later and quoted me $4k. He said the water heater was busted and I needed a new one stat. He warned that any delay in repair would result in possible flooding or further damage to my home/plumbing system. He blamed the issue on high water pressure coming into the home, another fix needing urgent repair and part of the initial quote.
The second one offered to come by the next day in the afternoon. I ended up cancelling this appt.
Steve spoke to me on the phone Sunday and after a few questions, reassured me that my problem didn't seem that severe and could wait till Monday. He called me Monday morning and came within 30 minutes, quickly evaluated the situation and determined that a small part needed replacement, saving me thousands of dollars - literally. The whole process took under half an hour. He recommended another plumber who could address the high water pressure coming into the home, but said it wasn't too concerning/urgent.
Steve was efficient, responsive, fair, and very reasonably priced. I appreciated his honesty and immediately saved his number in my contacts. He will be my first call for any plumbing issue in the future.
