They are always busy, which is understandable due to how great they are. Came out to my house twice. One was an emergency call - they were prompt and professional. The second time was scheduled. I had an unidentified leak in my basement, called Steve on a Monday morning. An hour or so later Steve was at my door. He assessed, diagnosed, and fixed my issue before lunchtime. Granted, this wasn't a very complicated issue but Steve had the ""no job too small"" approach and I really appreciate how quickly he responded and resolved. Will lead to a few other projects as we have a major bath remodel upcoming and I'm in need of a plumber. Steve will be my first call.

How does a plumber stay in business if they don't return calls or follow through when they say they'll come out to check out the problem? I hired Steve Dodd twice for different jobs. The first one, he came out sometime during the week, took care of the repair, gave me the bill, I paid him (without questioning the amount); problem solved. The next time, it was for a constantly running toilet. He told us it would take a week to get to us. After 3 or 4 days I finally figured out what the issue was and fixed it myself. Maybe he was pissed off because I cancelled ""only"" 3 or 4 days before he was supposed to show up, because two years later, when I had something else that needed repair, he said he would get back to me - and never did. Eventually I got another plumber through a Google search. Just recently, I had what could potentially be a big job and called him. He called me back, said he would send someone next week - and that was the last I heard from him.

I waited another week and called again. I asked his receptionist if he had any intention of getting back to us. She apologized (she was very professional & polite) but, again, crickets. Not even a return phone call.

It must be nice to have so much business that you can afford to blow off your customers like this. I just wish this guy was as professional as the woman who answers his phone!

This post is just for Steve, not his coworker Tyler. Tyler has come out to my house before on a service call to turn on the igniter and I thanked him 100%. But Steve, is a sham/waste of time. I called his office on Saturday May 9 to make a last minute appointment to have him come look at a leaking pipe in the basement. He called me back from a blocked number and said he couldn't get to me until Monday. Thank god my husband is handy and he fixed it so it wouldn't leak and so I can turn back on my water line. Monday comes and no call and no show. I called the office and they said he will call me back. Never did until Tuesday. I said thought you were coming yesterday? He said oh no I said I might be able to make it. WTH is that? An appointment is an appointment. He tells me he can't make it Tuesday either but he will be there Wednesday. He finally comes over for this ""appointment"" and looks at the piping and the work that needs to be done is out of my house in 5 minutes. He said he would call me back with pricing. Guess what, that appointment was a month ago! Don't bother calling me back now. He clearly doesn't want/is scared of a big job. What a total waste of time. If you didn't wanna do the work then just say so upfront. And an appointment is an appointment. I'm not waiting around all day for you to tell me maybe you can make it. I found someone else who stuck to their word of an appointment and is proactive and wants the job. Good luck making it in your field like that.

Update: just read he has another bad review from a person who said he's not reliable 2 months ago! Clearly I'm not the only one experiencing this horrible service.

Also: he's completely lost it. He called me 2x about 20 mins after I posted this review. Meanwhile I gave him a month to get back to me with an estimate on the leaking pipe. Then my fam member says he showed up to the house unexpectedly and uninvited. What the hell for? To discuss this post on how I feel? Yeah ok guy. First of all my property is private property and there is a sign as you pull into my driveway. If you can't read it, you need glasses or English classes. It is clearly posted. Second, we did not have an appointment. Why are you showing up to discuss my horrible experience? Is it too late. I will not take this down. This is how I feel and how you provided me horrible customer service. You want to make a difference? Then change how you do business. Be true to your word of either making the appointment or just telling the client not today, your too busy. Call people back and update them when you say you will. And don't be crazy blowing up my phone and showing up to my house without an appointment because that is private property.

On top of that he calls me 2x from probably his personal cell and blocks his number (which I know is him cause in the past he calls to let you know he's on his way from a blocked number. Also, I was not expecting any calls this morning). This guy needs to back down. All I want is for him to be reliable, have better communication, and not make his clients wait 2 weeks-1 month for him to ""get back to you"". I want nothing from you and your company so stop calling and showing up to my house uninvited. Thanks.

Totally unreliable. Told me I need a part to fix my shower and would call me in a few days when it came in. Never called and never returned any of my calls. Each time I called I was told, even by the owner, that someone would get right back to me. Never did. I wasted 2 weeks waiting. They should have told me upfront they didn't want the job. Apparently they are very selective.Two thumbs down.

Called Steve Dobbs three days straight asking for an estimate on an installation on a bathtub. No call back at all. I only wanted an estimate and nobody can give me that. They said will call me back took all my info name, phone number, address and nothing. Maybe if I said my name was Becky or Lily I would have got some service. Never calling them back poor excuse and very unprofessional.
