They came out to perform an annual maintenance check-up for around $200. Everything had been working fine before they came. Apparently, their technician did not tighten one of the knobs on one of the filters and water leaked through the bottom of the kitchen cabinet, down into the floorboards and ruined our kitchen floor. We did not notice right away because we had a large kitchen rug by the sink. George told me that they would reimburse for the damage but I have yet to receive a check. He told me just to turn off the filtering system - so in other words, I paid $200 for Sterling quality water to ruin my kitchen floor, and I don't even have a properly working water filtering system. I would not recommend a company who doesn't stand by their products and when damage occurs because of their negligence, do nothing. If this could happen to me, it can definitely happen to you. Stay far away from this company!

We have used Sterling water for our under sink osmosis provider. The unit was installed in 2018, and they come out every year and replace the filters as needed. Everything from their service to their pricing to their personalities is stellar. They're always on time, they never overcharge, they never over sell. And our water has been the best it's ever been. We always refer to it as one of our best purchases ever.

I am shocked to read the previous review and it has prompted me to write a review. We are in our second generation of using Sterling twice annually. I have never experienced anything like the previous reviewer. Our experience is that the folks at Sterling are always professional, competent, approachable, are not pushy, only recommend doing what needs to be done, and are reasonably priced. Their primary focus is customer service and clean water. This focus is refreshing and matches what I am looking for. The company is family-owned, is in its second generation employing local employees. They do things the old way. They still use paper/pen, rely on a handshake, are honest, and value relationships. They even travel to ocean city and Delaware (and I would bet other out of the way inconvenient places) to continue to service clients that were previously local. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars is over the years they are occasionally late in arriving, but no one is perfect and the lateness has been due to issues at previous stops that have backed them up. They are certainly no further behind than my physician's office can be (and my physician doesn't come to me). I am well pleased and have to believe that whatever actually occurred in that one review is a one-off situation.

Owner pitched us a wonderful system. System leaked. Called and George immediately came out, rotated the shark-bite fitting and left. Noticed the fitting was leaking again, George came out the next day. He removed the shark-bite fitting, cleaned the copper pipe and installed a new shark-bite. A few hours after the ""repair"" ,the leak reappeared. I called and was scheduled for 2 to 3 0'clock P.M. two days later. I received a call one hour prior to the appointment that George would not be able to make my appointment to fix the leaking pipe and the earliest was Saturday. This is a week after the system has been installed and has been leaking!
Once I explained the frustration with the quality of customer service I was receiving, Lisa informed me that George and Charles would be able to come to look and fix the leak after hours, to which I gratefully agreed. Charles presented himself as a gentleman and George went to repair the leak, again, again( I lost count). When I explained my frustration to Charles with the lack of customer service that I was being provided and that I have had to have George out multiple times to fix the same leak, I asked for compensation for the antique bronze faucet that was ""on back order"". When I mentioned this idea, just do to the inconvenience of multiple leaks, Charles desired to use profanity. I told him to not use that language in my house and if he did, I would need them to leave. We were still unable to come to any type of agreement on compensation due to poor customer service, to which Charles stormed out using more profanity, stating that he was no longer in my house and would use profanity. George tried to calm him down but seemed to be frustrated with the situation as well.

In the end-
1) Worst customer service in Westminster Maryland
2) Best tasting water I have ever had. (Coffee is amazing now)
3) I would not recommend Sterling ""Quality"" Water to anyone. Not even people that I might not like.
4) I'm sure that Atlantic Blue could have performed similar service, without the use of profanity and sub standard customer service.

Ps. Charles said that he was going to test the water since Sterling ""Quality"" Water installed the system but failed to do so because he stormed out using profanity.
