Sterling Plumbing is by far my favorite plumber to work with. I work in construction and I know quality and integrity when I see it. From a full rough plumb to emergency customer service I am always confident when I hire Sterling.
The best thing about them is their honesty. Whether it's good news or bad news. You will always get a straight forward response. They don't up charge or gouge. Sterling is my favorite plumber for any situation.

Sterling Plumbing has serviced both of our homes in Newport Beach and San Clemente. Abe is fantastic at diagnosing an issue before it becomes a problem. He's honest and thorough. We also use Sterling on our warranty issues for the homes we build in Los Angeles. Also, Joanna is awesome for scheduling and following through on all outstanding issues.

I have used Sterling Plumbing for a number of repairs and they seem to get better and better. I was fortunate enough to use them recently for a pin hole leak. They continue to amaze me as they were so surgical in their approach, cutting only a small access hole, rectifying the situation in an extraordinary manner, and in a short time. This is not the company that sends out a green tech and then comes back with a qualified crew, these guys roll out with knowledge, tools, and parts. A huge thank you to Abe for making this process so easy, reasonably priced, clean, and being so honest. Not that I look forward to plumbing issues, but when Sterling is involved, it no longer is stressful. Do yourself a favor, give them a shout and forget about it.

Sterling Plumbing has serviced our tankless hot water heater over the past several years. Each time I call I receive exceptional service. Joanna is wonderful as the point person. The plumbers who have come to our home are courteous and professional. Ricardo serviced our water heater and a clogged sink this past week and he was outstanding. He explained to me what was happening in our bathroom and showed me how to undo a screw to undo the drain. I appreciated the explanation he gave regarding the plumbing in our master bath. This company has been professional in all of our dealings with us whether the service was under our original home warranty and when we have used them as a paying customer. Thank you for making sure that what is behind the wall works as well as what we see everyday. This company in my opinion stands by their service and I highly recommend them!

Terrible customer service. Called and spoke with Joanna who stated what my problem was that my water heater needed to be flushed annually but the valves required to flush it weren't installed at the homebuilders request. I inquired why a company would ever install something without a required component for it to function properly would ever be an option. She said she'd call me back the next day. A week and a half later, I have to call her and she remembers me but says she's so busy and didn't return my call. Her indifference is unacceptable.

Unfortunately horrible service 2nd time around. This company helped me a few years ago get a garbage disposal installed and that went great.
This time I needed them to looked at my toilet as it started wobbling. Our Homeowners Ins company sent out a plumber but we were told that they could not assist because of some reason along the lines of drilling into the ground??? Not sure. But I immediately thought of Sterling since they helped me before. As a previous review mentioned, no one answers the phone. I left a voicemail and someone called me back after like 2 days. After discussion I was informed to send photos of what I needed services so they wouldn't have to come out and charge me like $150 just to drive out. The rep told me she would ""text"" me their email so I can forward photos. That never happened. I called back a week later and left a message. JoAnna called me back and provided me the email address. I immediately emailed the photos and didn't hear back. So I emailed again almost a week after and JoAnna replied with,
""I showed the photos to our plumber. I'm sorry, I think you might have to look for a different plumbing company. Our Service Techs are busy right now with other work right now. We usually service homes where we install the plumbing and we are quite busy right now.
I hope we can help you in the future.""
She didn't even say if they can help. Immediately turned me away because they're ""quite busy."" I even replied asking when is the soonest they could come out and of course, no answer. It's a shame. But oh well. Moving on.

A very long story made short. My Rheem tankless died. It was still under warranty.I spoke to Rheem several times and they kept blaming Sterling for a bad install. Sterling proved Rheem was wrong. But Rheem would not budge or offer any kind of assistance. So...I called the builder and my HOA for some assistance ($2000.00 estimate)....no one wanted to help me. Except Sterling. You know how some folks are just made for outstanding customer service? That is Joanna....everytime we spoke you know she cared. I called her several times and not once did she exude anything but concern and caring. Sorry....I said I'd make this short....I asked Sterling if they would consider discounting a new unit so the hit wouldn't be so bad. They sent out Joe who called Rheem on my behalf (gave them hell in his gentlemanly manner) and within two hours I had a new unit (FOR FREE) and hot water again after 4 days of phone calls. Sterling had absolutely no obligation to help.....but they did. Such service is rare and the owner is likely very, very proud of his staff.
