Stephens did an excellent job hydrojetting our drains. They also provided an estimate to redo our backyard drains for a couple different scenarios. They were friendly and efficient. I would definitely consider them for future projects.

I'm very happy with the repair service that Stephens provided for our Mitsubishi ductless split system and highly recommend them for these systems. Oscar (technician) was very knowledgeable and courteous as he reset the outdoor condenser to factory settings. He explained the controller functions very clearly. The original installer set up the system locked in the cooling mode so it wouldn't switch from cooling to heating without making adjustments to the outdoor condenser.

I have used Stephens Plumbing for several things - they are familiar with ""the Gardens"", reliable, and knowledgeable. William was tasked with changing the filters in my reverse osmosis water system. It had not been producing the amount of water that it should and I thought it needed new filters. Unfortunately, new filters did not solve the issue but William did some trouble shooting to try to resolve the issue. I really appreciate the time and effort that William spent on trying to resolve it. The issue turned out be a much bigger than replacing the filters. Ultimately, William resolved the issue to my satisfaction.

We were charged over $200 for a five minute plunger job. We had a minor clog and I need to take responsibility for this outrageous charge because I asked for pricing but I didn't push it the woman on the phone said they need to see the issue to determine the cost. I understand but I should have gotten a general idea for the basic issues with a clogged toilet and I should have been more assertive and asked for an estimate for a clog and talked to her longer about other costs. I didn't and the grumpy plumber came after 430PM on a Friday so I assume this was considered emergency pricing along with after hours but this is not the fault of the company and consumers need to be assertive and I am now.

This review is for a new Mitsubishi heat pump installation and gas furnace replacement.

After last year's high gas bill during the winter I decided to replace my old attic installed gas furnace for something more efficient with AC capabilities.

I already had 1 zone Mitsubishi 9K ductless unit for my office that works great. Our house has 3 bedrooms (upstairs) and a main living area (downstairs). I wanted a system that would allow me to individually control the different spaces.

I got 4 bids, one of them my pervious HVAC contractor (cheapest bid). Poncho came onsite and look at everything. He was the only one that gave me a great solution to drain the condensation line.. everyone else wanted to run a long line to the bottom of the house which would not look too good. Poncho suggested we tie into the bathroom drain which was behind the same wall were the outdoor unit would be.. He came back again when I asked to look at the existing ducts for downstairs in order to re-use them. Ryan at the office was great and after some negotiation and clearing a couple things they sent me a proposal that I thought was fair. We went with a 48K BTU outdoor unit, 2x6K BTU and 1 9K BTU indoor split units and a 24K BTU air handler were we had the previous furnace to supply heat and cool to the first floor. I took advantage of a great 0% interest for 18 month finance offer and I was surprised when they told me they could install it the following week. I picked a perfect time I guess..
On Monday Poncho, Freddy and the crew arrived promptly . Some material showed up and it was time for them to look at everything and secure some supplies. The next day about 5 or 6 Vans from Stephen's plumbing showed up and a good amount of people worked through the day to do the heavy lifting stuff.. They hoisted the big outdoor unit, remove old furnace and capped the gas line, installed head units, etc.. the next 2-3 days it was mainly Poncho, Freddy and a couple other guys running lines and doing everything lese. Poncho did a great job running the electrical conduit from my panel to the outdoor unit, he did not rush and did a great job. They were all great but Poncho and Freddy were very detailed oriented. Everyone was very clean and every day before working they would protect the floor and they would clean before leaving making sure my carpet was not damaged. Freddy would always ask If I had any questions. All work was completed by Friday. The system is great.. It is super silent, you can't hear the outdoor and I have great temperature control in all bedrooms and downstairs. This is the good thing about the system.. We never use all of it at the same time so I feel it is very efficient.
We did it properly and pulled permits and did HERS testing. All went fine with the inspection and Ryan is working on securing some of the California tax credits because we replaced a gas furnace with a heat pump.

This week Poncho came back to install the Kumo cloud on my air handler as I wanted to be able to control it from my phone. Overall good experience during the sales portion. Mitsubishi has great warranty and I think they are better systems than Daikin and others. Stephens Plumbing also provides a good Workmanship warranty. This was a big project for me, it was not cheap, probably overkill as I could have gone with a dual zone using my ducts but I am happy with the work that Stephens Plumbing did.

Luis was professional and very efficient with fixing my garage disposal. I was relieved when he able to fix and clean out the culprits without a full replacement. Excellent at explaining the challenge. Will definitely call again!

Absolutely criminal! Tried to take my elderly mother for thousands of dollars and then left when I said I was sending her neighbor over to talk with them regarding their proposal. But not before collecting the service call fees. He said he was going to send a full written proposal via email which he did not. But from the notes I took over the phone, he proposed parts we didn't need, for a leak we didn't have, and 10 pounds of R22 (a refrigerant that had it's production banned almost 25 years ago!) it is still legal to sell existing inventory from prior to the ban, but there is a MUCH CHEAPER and more environmentally friendly alternative available, which thankfully Urso installed the next day for a third of the quote given by Steven's plumbing, to my 80 year old mother. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!
