The Stephens family owned, managed, and took care of my parents, my company facilities with 3,000,000 ft.³ of space, my brother and his home, as well as mine for more than 20 years. After so many years - Stephens Plumbing has been sold to an outside buyer, sadly, and all of the Stephen's family who had been involved with a business, as far as I can tell, I have now resigned from Stephens Plumbing, moving on to re-create that incredible professional, residential and business friendly service with fair pricing and impeccable service by creating a new company, New Era Plumbing -here in Birmingham- Based on the moral compass and values I've always appreciated about the Stephens family, owners of the original Stephens plumbing. My experience as a 1 x time customer under the companies current management is nothing like what I had come to trust, from the Stephens family, in every way possible. With regard to the new owner, I'd have to say, just because you can afford to purchase a well-established business with a solid reputation, client base, and long history (but is outside of your business Wheelhouse) doesn't mean you should actually buy that business! Business, especially customer experience skills as an entrepreneur/manager are not always translatable from one kind of business to another type. A service, such as plumbing, when you're people are working within my home, within close proximity of my family and everything important in my life or in my place of business, my experience is completely reliant on the plumbers knowledge, experience, ability to communicate Recommendations and solutions, protect and care for my property as if it is the plumbers own, while completing all work in a timely, neat, and competitively priced manner. To me, that is the description other recognizable level of service. I'm hoping the company's owner will figure out that being fair and honest in his dealings with his customers and employees Will help him grow personally and professionally. Stephens always had the best plumbers I ever knew of Servicing the Birmingham area, but that's no longer the case. My experience Was not what I had hoped for from Stephens plumbing. Wishing Stephens plumbing all the best in this chapter of its history.

five stars for the kindness and attentiveness of the actual service workers, negative five stars for the rude customer service. joseph stephens took my call this afternoon and he was so condescending, churlish and impatient with me. we had work done 18 months ago and we've barely been able to make a dent in the payment. partly because we've been screwed by another local company and our crappy insurance. also in part because we've been under the impression SINCE JAN 2018 that there was more work to be done here? i called today to try and understand exactly where we're at, if anything needs done, to work out paying the bill, etc. and this joseph stephens handled our entire call like i'm an idiot who dares to require his time and understanding. we aren't the plumbers, why would i know all the details, that's exactly what i am trying to ascertain!? of course we'll hopefully be continuing to figure out what's going on, but NOT with him. absolutely unprofessional, whiny man behavior. i can never recommend this company. or joseph stephens.

We noticed a leak in our kitchen and it was coming from the roof. We called Stephens Plumbing to have them send someone out to give us an estimate. They were able to fix it relatively quickly

They showed up early asked questions about the problem. Showed him around the house and where all the pipes were. Then he went to work and in about 45-50 minutes the work was completed. He wore his mask the entire time and was diligent and efficient. As for the problem, our sink has not drained so good in the last 10 years. I would heartily recommend them to anyone who has need of a plumber. Also, the cost was very affordable. I was kinda shocked,but happy with the price. Thank you Stephen Plumbing for your excellent work.

kept coming out and snaking in he same drain and charging me 225 a pop and it immediately clogged back up. told me they don't warranty drain work then told me that from this point they could no longer service me and how would I like to pay.

Had a plumbing emergency at my home; they were able to come out same day, very reasonable price, fixed the issue as well! Also gave me some good feedback about future maintenance. Have used Roto Rooter in the past at nearly twice the price and nowhere near as good service. Super nice and prompt, will definitely use Stephens again!

Came right out found the problem unstopped the kitchen and washer drain. Very nice explained the problem and took 30 minutes . Price was not bad either.

Landlord had to have a new water installed. I contacted the office on Wednesday and they were out the next morning. Lady I spoke with is very friendly and contacted me prior to the techs arrival. Paul was very professional and nice. Explained everything he and the helper did. I highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

Used Stephens Plumbing to install a new gas range. They were on time and very friendly. Price was cheaper than I expected too. Will definitely use them again!
