Scheduled an appointment, in Cheektowaga NY and plumber showed up late, toilet was plugged. He took the toilet out found some kid's toys in the toilet. Remounted the toilet and it still did not flush threw removed it again, found one more plastic toy. Still would not flush properly. He went to lunch and I went over to home depot picked up another toilet and he installed it and it works fine. My concern is with the charges, he spent 3 hours on the job and the bill was 679.69 with tax.
I called spoke with his boss and owner was told they do not charge by the hour but how many times he installed the toilet. Which comes out to be 226.00 an hour? He did not seem concerned about me and just had a poor attitude.
Very disappointed he never told me in the beginning what the charge would be and said he was giving me a discounted rate. I would not use Stephens Plumbing in Williamsville NY.

Stephens Huck Plumbing and Heating did a sewer replacement from the house to the street. It was a careless and sloppy job. They left a huge pile of dirt in the middle of the front garden. I was expecting they would leave a mound on the trench they dug. Totally destroyed the entire front yard. I called to ask that the mess be straighten out and he said they were done. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. I am hoping the work they did underground is not this shabby. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Update: Plumbers came out ASAP. Emergency situation arose from an accidental, unforeseen, toilet supply line bursting on my second floor master bathroom. Discovered at 4 AM nonetheless! Not what you want to wake up to out of your sleep! I thought I was having a very bad dream, but unfortunately this was very real. Water everywhere on the bathroom floor, ankle deep. A burst supply line squirting water uncontrollably. A shut off valve for the house in the basement that would not turn off. Maybe rusted or corroded over time, unknown to me.

This escaped water from the toilet flooded my first floor kitchen ceiling and walls. And that is now a whole other bigger problem - water damage to drywall that needs to be remediated. Not fun. A headache, expense and inconvenience that will take many days or weeks to resolve. Ugh.

These plumbers promptly changed out the toilet supply line in both my bathrooms, and also installed a new service valve for the house. Nobody calls a plumber at 4AM for planned projects. But when you need fast, efficient, professional plumbing help, like I did, these plumbers will take care to help you and mitigate water damage on your property. I'm so glad I called them. They know what exactly to do!


Initial review: Trouble shooted Plumbing problem over the phone. Plumber was able to determine problem with a call and texting of some photos. Knowledgeable, efficient and very professional. Will update review soon, issue is being worked on at the present time.
