Best plumber in South Baltimore, hands down. Among other jobs, they've replaced my water heater, toilets, and fixed a burst pipe for me. Very professional and plenty of last-minute availability. Reasonable rates and any issues I've ever had were equitably resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommend!

The worst thing I did was wait so long contacting this company! The ease of making an appointment and the efficiency of time and prompt response from Mr.Tant and his company was phenomenal.oh and Brandon our plumber was outstanding,honest and explained everything he was doing and then some! If I could give this business zero stars, I would. They were recommended to me on a Facebook group so u mistakenly trusted the reviews.

RUN! Do not use them. Not only did they price gouge me, charged me $725 with a measly $50 discount so my final price was $650 to replace a toilet in an older rental property. I'm new to being a landlord and they completely took advantage of me. Instead of advising me different options, they told me that they could only replace it with this specific toilet and acted as if they were doing me a favor by buying it for me. I naively agreed to the quote and after the service I had told my friend who was with me, who happens to be a real estate developer and told me that they charged me more than twice what it should have costed me. So he asked me to see the invoice with the breakdown of materials and labor, which I was not provided. I then texted to ask for the receipt of materials and the breakdown and Stephen's ""assistant"" completed freaked out and started yelling, getting an attitude claiming that the toilet comes with their warranty, which is why it's costly. I was never told this, I was actually told that this toilet was the only option I had. She then hands the phone to Stephen himself who told us the same thing that he was refusing to provide the receipt because they buy in bulk and they mark it up 20%. Funny thing is when I was given the quote, the plumber told me I could go buy it myself because or he would only charge me $50 to pick it up for me and of course I chose the latter option considering he made it sound like they were doing me a favor. Stephen continues to yell and talk over us while we only tried to reason with him and ask for a breakdown of what we were paying. Never once did we tell him we weren't going to pay as we are all business owners and he tried to talk down on us asking if we had a business, if we had a plumbing license in Baltimore, and if we had any idea how much he pays for workers' compensation?! I wish I was making this up and it sounds even more ridiculous to write this out.

They rescheduled the first time the night before the service call knowing that I had to ask my tenant to take off work to be present and so this also shows they have zero respect for your time and money.

I was also charged for 2 hours when my tenant told me that the plumber was there for about 30 minutes. They really try to rip you off any way they can.

After refusing to give me a breakdown of the invoice, they threatened me that this will go in a different course. What am I being charged for?!

Not only were they unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely rude, they are even more deceitful. Please do your research and get quotes from multiple companies before falling for their fake reviews!

Steve is the GOAT! I called after discovering my hot water heater needed to be replace around 3 PM - it had busted and was leaking everywhere- I had to turn the water to the house off. Even though he was booked the next day, he fit me in at 6 AM!!!!! Steve and Rob showed up even earlier than that, and got it removed and the new one installed before 8 AM. I have rarely experienced the high level of customer service that SJT Plumbing provides- truly couldn't be a happier customer.

I had been ""assigned"" a plumber from a home warranty company, and the entire experience was a nightmare. After 2 weeks the work was still not started.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and called SJT after seeing numerous positive reviews online. It was a great experience. I emailed them way after-hours on a friday, and had an email reply AND a phone call by mid-morning on Saturday (I wasn't expecting to hear back till Monday!).
Their employee named Justin came out to start the job on Monday. He is excellent. Professional, personable, and explains what is going on. I had another job for them the next week and my experience was just as good.
I hope it's a long time till I need a plumber again. But, when I do I will be using SJT and am confident that Justin will get the job done.

Stephen Tant is a rare gem. I've used this company for issues large and small. The honesty and work ethic is a breath of fresh air in this crazy world. The owner has wisdom about this work well beyond his years. I intend to use his company exclusively for my home repairs moving forward. Even though the jobs are always messy (replacement of water heater, replacement of ductwork, fixing furnace), he and his employees always leave the space cleaner than they found it.
