My home warranty company sent them out for an issue with my sink. They came out and took 2 pictures and went outside to make a call. Came back in to let me know the warranty wouldn't cover the problems which I understood. I asked for the quote then said I needed to call and check with my husband. Before even letting me make the call he gave me his business card, told me they couldn't even do any work today and left my house.
So now I'm left with a useless kitchen sink and dishwasher for the weekend! Why even come out if you aren't going to fix anything?

Not impressed! They wanted to install a damged (new) water heater. When confronted they stated ""well it was that way when we took it out of the box"". Unacceptable! Upon returning (the next day), they installed the copper drain tube straight from the front of the unit to the wall across the space where the water softener will be installed. There should have been a couple of extra 90 degree bends to accommodate the water softener. Which is exactly how the old unit was piped. They refused to re-pipe it saying ""let the water softener people worry about it"". The only upside is that we finally have hot water 2 days later. As for the install....poorly done! We will have to have someone come back out and pay to have it piped correctly so we can have the water softener installed.

I'm too quick to review. Juan changed the main controlling gas valve of my water heater. When he finished he did not tighten the pilot light fitting and gas is leaking. Luckily a friend came over and smell it. We old people lost some of our sense of smell. We called southwest gas emergency and they fixed the problem today.

Our water heater crapped out, and these guys come to replace it. Their appointment times were pretty inconvenient, but I rearranged my schedule, as is typical of contractors. However, when they showed up, they walked into my garage and said ""yup, you need to replace it. we can go ahead and do that but it will cost an additional $115 for ""code modifications."" Then when I told them that my home warranty actually covers code modifications, they said to call the warranty company. When I called the warranty company, they stated that the contractor hadn't called in a diagnosis yet, and they couldn't give me any feedback on pricing. When Stellar called in the diagnosis, they changed their story, obviously realizing that I would pay them more than the warranty company would, and suddenly these ""code modifications"" weren't at all ""code"" related. They can't explain to me what they are, but they're just ""necessary."" To compound my frusteration, they attempted to turn the water off to my house with my neighbor's meter and then told me my meter was broken and I'd have to call the city to have it fixed! Luckily, while I was on hold with the city, my neighbor came out wondering why her water was off! I would never call these guys!!

Not so Stellar. Unreliable, non-professional and irresponsible. Had a leaky garbage disposal and even though they came out the same day and took care of what they believed the problem to be, the tech never turned on the water to make sure everything was o.k. Several hours later I was preparing for a large dinner party I was having in 2 days and when I turned on the water, it came POURING out of the disposal as though there was a faucet under the sink. The leak became a flood. Was told I would have to wait 3 days before a tech could come out and was told to put a bucket under the leak. It wasn't a ""leak"", the bucket filled after the water ran for less than a minute. Turned out the tech never re-connected the hose from the dishwasher to the disposal. What has happened to the good old days when a company took responsibility for their errors and made every effort to make it right asap. In my day, a responsible company would have paid an employee overtime to make sure the customer's problem was resolved because of the tech's error. People make mistakes. I was not angry about the mistake but was furious that I would have to wait 3 days for them to make it right. No work ethics, no responsibility, poor customer service and I didn't even get an apology. Paid someone else to come out so I could have a working sink, disposal and dishwasher in time for my party.

My fan stopped working a few weeks ago (of course when it's the hottest time in AZ). I called and spoke with Paul and he was able to send Andrew out 1st thing in the morning. Andrew did a great job and I felt very comfortable with him being in my home. He even took my old fan when he left. This is by far a great company and I will use them for some other project I'd like to have done. Great pricing, quick response, responsible and respectful team. Highly recommend them! Pam ~

Andrew and a colleague showed within the arrival window. He quickly diagnosed the problem, confirmed he had the part in his vehicle and then told me he had to come back on another day because he was booked solid! I told the receptionist what the issue was, Andrew confirmed the diagnosis and had to come back!!! I had to take another 1/2 day off from work. This was completely unacceptable and none of it made sense.
He showed the following day, five minutes outside the scheduled window, and completed the service 23 minutes after starting. Work was done neatly and professionally.
Only issue I had was the rescheduling which still
makes no sense.
Had they not pulled the rescheduling nonsense they would have received five stars.

We have an old house with multiple problems over the years with the tub in the hall bathroom draining slow. Recently found a pool of water under the tub due to a corroded cast iron sewer pipe. Grant from Stellar Home Service was great and had the problem exposed and repaired in a couple of hours. No leaks and the tub drains quickly now.

We had a leaky hose bib in our front yard that would not stop dripping! After trying to fix it a couple times myself we set up a service request through our home warranty to have it taken care of. The tech called to give us a heads up, came promptly and replaced the whole thing. Awesome neat service. Highly recommend

Andrew came in and installed a water heater the same day I had issues with it. He installed it quickly and efficiently, and was very professional and polite. Definitely recommend this technician and Stellar Home Services.
