Timmy T.got to lower the bar on these guys for several reasons.
First, my roof is leaking again, which makes me realize that he didn't fix the job.
second, I've left messages for him to call the warranty company on many occasions, and the warranty company has called him over 5 times requesting a return call and diagnosis, so they can patch my dry wall, but he has yet to return any calls.
that's really unfortunate, because he was quick to take the job, but now that it's over, we can't get a hold of him. I requested my warranty company NOT contact him for this re-leak, as he didn't finish the job the first time, so I've lost confidence in him.
Casey C.After calling my home warranty and getting a crappy plumber that was rude and didn't fix the problem, my home warranty sent out Naim from Stat plumbing. Very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman. He took his shoes off when he can into the house and did not leave behind a mess. He explained what he was doing so and showed me how to prevent it from happening again.
I've called Stat twice, once to replace tub fixtures (after another plumber removed the old one and left me hanging), and once to fix a tub diverter. Blerim's estimate was lower than what I got from a larger local company, AND he was able to put in the type of fixture I wanted for the price, something the other company was only willing to do at an additional cost. Stat is quick to make the appointment and was on time or let me know he was running a bit late. The estimate both times was the final cost. I'll be using Stat again in the future.
American Home Shield sent Stat Plumbing & Remodeling to repair some plumbing problems that arose in a home we bought a couple of months ago.
Initially, the plumber Naim (sp?) was very courteous. We were discussing a leaky joint where there was an improper connection made between older galvanized water pipe & new copper. I have some familiarity with plumbing, because I did home renovations for 16 years, so I was astonished when Naim claimed it wasn't possible to make a workable connection between the two kinds of pipe. (Hello? Dialectric union?) He said that the steel pipe was ""gas pipe"" and shouldn't have been used for water piping. (Um.... Black pipe & galvanized pipe aren't the same thing....) He thought that all the galvanize pipe would have to be taken out & replaced with copper, which he wouldn't be able to do without submitting for approval from the home warranty.
I told Naim that I didn't agree with his assessment, and since he couldn't fix it anyway, that he should just take care of the drain stoppages that were also part of the ticket. Instead, Naim decided to walk off the job. Even his helper was confused about why they were leaving without doing any of the work.
In sum, we have a plumber who didn't really know what he was talking about, and wasn't willing to do any work for someone who didn't agree with him.
I'm waiting for a call back from the company owner. In the meantime, AHS has lined up a different contractor for the service call.
Alyssa T.Terrible as far as communication goes. Paid $375 for a video inspection of a sewer line. Then, Stat Plumbing was supposed to come back in two days to repair the sewer line. Of course, they did not show up, nor did anyone call to say the appointment was canceled. Then, as a courtesy, Stat Plumbing referred me to another plumber to complete the job. That plumber did not show, and sent a text to cancel. I still have not been able to receive a copy of the video inspection of my sewage line. I will not be using Stat Plumbing and have asked that my Home Warranty Company take them off of their referral list.
Enrico P.I've used them for a new hot water heater, and a second time for an emergency sink install. Honest, fast, clean, and the work is terrific. I've owned my home for 10 years and I am thrilled I finally found such a great plumber.
Lee N.Blair arrived at 7 for an ""after 5 pm"" appointment on a Tuesday, so I guess he was right on time :-/ He quoted me at 225 to clear a kitchen sink drain which he mentioned would take between 20 to 30 mins. Hmmm...a quick google search confirmed my suspicions that this was beyond the high end of the average price range for something like this soooo I sent him and his surly, off-putting attitude back out into the night.
Please do not contact this company!!!. I was referred to them through my home warranty company. The plumber never showed up after 2 appointments and personally waiting around for the plumber twice, I was billed for a service that I never received. Then the owner(Blair) fabricated a story that the plumber did come but no one answered the door. No one answered because NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP!!! Usually when a company comes to your house, and you do not answer the door, they leave proof that they did come by to attempt service. I guess this company is exempt!!!
Reg R.The first guy (don't know his name) was not good at communicating with me as far a scheduling went especially since I was rescheduled. However Blair came in and replaced the water heater. He also checked out the plumbing leak that turned out to be my upstairs neighbors. I'd say deal with Blair directly, though they left the kitchen counter lopsided since the water heater that he brought was taller than the old one (our water heater is under the kitchen counter). We had to get wood wedges to even out the counter since everything was rolling on the other side because of the awkward position of the counter after the repairs. He did a good job replacing the water heater, but leaving the counter lop sided was disappointing.
Blair responded through my homeowner insurance company. He showed up within a reasonable time and assessed the very difficult hot water replacement challenge. He did what he promised, showed up on time and finished the job sooner than expected. Pleasant and professional. Cleaned up well after the job. I'd use him again for sure.
