I bought a new Lennox XC20 unit in May 2018 and it has yet to effectively cool below 82 when it is 100+ degrees outside and it runs constantly. We even have good R45 insulation and the house was built in 1996. Stark Services has been out to our house 5 times in less than 2 months and had to replace the TXV in our brand new XC20 unit. Still no luck, this unit is either a lemon or the installation company (Stark) is incompetent. Stark Services, the installer, told us our Lennox should only cool to 20 degrees below the outside temperature. What? That would make it 90 degrees when it is 110! I explained this to Stark and they said that's normal and it is working as expected. Apparently Stark believes as long as you can cool to 90 when it is 110 outside you will be a happy customer. Our friends have the same size house, built the same year, bought a different from a different installer for half the price and they cool to 75 just fine when it is 110 outside. I can not in good conscious recommend this unit, brand, or especially Stark Services.

I've been using them for 10 months, but always had issues with billing charges. Constantly having to call them and they couldn't get it right! Billing manger doesn't return phone calls. I canceled my service with them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They try to tell you things are broken when they are not. They told us we had a broken element & thermostat, they lied. We had a second opinion & it was very simple to fix. They are ripping people off. BEWARE!!!!

Not pleased. I am an "ultimate" member of Stark Care Club. In fact, they don't even offer the level of program I pay for anymore, as I have been a member for over 10 years. 1st off - when my air went out almost 2 weeks ago, I was grateful that the service was out here within 24 hours, but, as usual, the technicians were "running behind", so they missed the time window. Fast forward a week. I had my regular service scheduled for Thursday between 4 and 7. They called the day before to reconfirm. Now, why they couldn't have done the tune-up and filter change the week before when they came to fix the part that broke, I'm still not clear on. Anyhow, waited diligently between 4 and 7. No one came. I had to call the after hours line. I got a call back from some dispatcher who lied to me and said he had been trying to call me "all day" at my 2 contact numbers to reschedule my appointment because they had technicians out sick. Funny, I had my cell phone next to me all day. NO CALL. Also, NO CALL on my caller ID at the home number. The technician made it seem like it was my fault. Like I just wasn't picking up his calls or something when there is no record of a call from Stark on either my cell phone log or my caller ID log. This is how this particular "ultimate" customer was treated after 10 years. My appointment has now been rescheduled so I can sit around and waste another 3 hours waiting for them to show up this time between 12 and 3. Not a happy "ultimate" customer.

I had Stark Plumbing come out to replace my shower knobs and stems. The guy who came out was very arrogant and couldn't stop looking at himself in the mirror. Don't know what that was about. He charged me $377 just to change out the knobs on my shower. I went ahead and paid because I didn't want to have to pay the service fee and not use them and then have to pay another service fee for someone else. They say they waive the $69 trip fee but I know they added it to the total instead of deducting it. So far, the knobs are working but I wont be using them again. Maybe it was just the guy who came to do the job I didn't like..

Small update - I mentioned the Phone App for my Smart Thermostat (iComfort S30) was a bit buggy. Well, as expected a software update took care of the initial unreliability of the app. I knew I was an early adopter of the device and the software tends to lag the hardware when brand new. Well, all is good now. I've had a few updates and the reliability has gotten well into my "pleased" range. :-)

When I hired Stark Services, I felt that the "Comfort Specialist" was open about every possible cost. Then, in my opinion, during the actual installation, he misrepresented the cost of what I would have to pay for my whole AC/ Furnance replacement, duct work, installation, etc.

During the installation, I was told that I would have to pay an additional one thousand plus dollars to replace parts that I thought were included in the original agreement. I felt pressured and thought the installers would have walked out in the middle of the job unless I agreed to pay more money. I felt that they were strongly recommending the parts and services that the comfort specialist never mentioned originally.

After the installation, I met with the Service Manager at the Hurst location, to voice my concerns and request a refund of the additional money that I felt had to pay. The manager conveyed that I should have called him during the installation and that there wasn't anything he could do except to talk to the General Manager when he got back into town. I felt it was unfair to tell me that after the fact when I tried to work it out with confort specialist.

Even on their paperwork, it states "money back guarantee" which they did not honor. I ended up spending over $17,000 for a brand new furnace, AC, duct work, insulation , etc. I do not recommend this company because in my opinion once you are in the middle of the project, they will demand more money than what was originally agreed upon.

Also be warned, that the same manager called me the very next day concerning my "scathing review" and informed me, after the fact, that they "RECORD "EVERYTHING" (Phone calls, conversations during office visits, etc.) He then told me he would replay our conversations to the General Manager when he gets back into town. When I asked that if he recorded our conversations, that is only when he confessed that everything was recorded.

In my opinion, if you value your privacy and money, then think very carefully before engaging their services.

Beware!!! I called Stark Services for winter tune-up service and was told that I needed a new furnace due to high readings for carbon monoxide. I asked the technician to take me up to
my attic and show me the readings, Mysteriously he couldn't get any high reading and tried
several times. I have installed 3 carbon monoxide detectors in the house including the attic
and have no indication of any carbon monoxide period, When I asked the technician why
he didn't write that he detected high levels he said that when we both went to the attic he didn't detect any high level...............hmmm sounds like a scam to me!!!
