Very responsive, arrived within 30minutes of calling on a Sunday evening. Very professional & easy to work with. We didn't have a big job, but definitely needed a plumber to take care of a leak in the toilet. Every other plumber I pinged could come only Tuesday or later.

Had a shower pipe problem, called Starboy from a Google search.

Pros:
- Really good with availability, someone was able to come within an hour of my phone call on a Sunday.
- Good service, the manager that spoke to me over the phone was really polite.
- ""Free"" estimates. Its a local small business, so if they make a visit to your house to inspect the issue, there's pressure to give them some money for their trip. I gave $40 for a 2 minute inspection. If it was a corporate plumber, there's no reason to feel bad about receiving a free inspection.

Cons:
- I believe they charge more than average. Arvin quoted minimum of $350 for simple drywall demolition (For reference, other contractors charge less than $200 for drywall demolition). If we wanted to remove the fiberglass of the shower wall, he quoted at least double that charge.

I ended up not proceeding with them, but still commend them for good service in the Bay Area, and would consider them in the future for an emergency.

Starboy was the only plumber that wanted to work at 7pm at night on a Wednesday evening for our backflow in our garage. I called 12 plumbers and not a single company, even the ""24 hour"" plumbers, were available. Starboy's dispatch said they will send a technician out in 30 minutes and the technician Arvin came within 30 minutes. Once the technician assessed the situation, the owner Denver came shortly thereafter with the hydro jet truck and camera, and our drain was working again. Denver and Arvin are sincere, hard working, thorough, carry the latest equipment, and well deserving of the price they need to charge to keep their employees happy and motivated to work.

Household plumbing backed up on a weekend so regular plumber wasn't available. My son found Starboy online and we arranged for them to come. They were totally incompetent: couldn't find the proper clean-out, snaked directly into the septic tank (bypassing the plumbing clog), then wanted over $1200 for a special kind of ""blow-out"" (with the caveat that it can damage plumbing!)
Regular plumber came on Monday and cleared it in ten minutes.

Starboy came out to my house in san Bruno recently and quoted $1,000 to replace the angle valve and fill valve for 2 toilets in the bathrooms. I thought the price was outrageous and did not want to proceed. The owner got on the phone and negotiated to $500 for the job. I let them do it even though it was still expensive and I just wanted the problem fixed. The job took less than an hour compared to 2 hours originally estimated. No materials included, btw.
