Star Plumbing comes out promptly, but they are very overpriced. When my water heater leaked, they came out, took a brief look, said I needed a new unit, and gave me a quote. I checked with three other plumbers in the area, all of whom had good reviews. For the same unit (Bradford White 50-gallon water heater with 6-year warranty), Star Plumbing's quote was 30% more than the others, which worked out to be an additional $350. When the owner found out that we had chosen another plumber, he sent an invoice for a $250 service call. Star's plumber had spent no more than 30 minutes in my house and didn't attempt to fix the unit. We will go elsewhere in the future. We used S. Dunsmore Plumbing & Son instead; we were very happy with their work and prices.

My husband and I just bought a house and we used Star Plumbing for the first time. I agree with the other comments it is a shame they don't have a higher review! The receptionist was very helpful, polite, and well informed. Our water heater was leaking badly and they worked fast to be sure that someone came out to address it promptly. The man they sent was very polite and upon my request wore boot covers (to protect my new carpet). They ended up replacing my water heater. It was replaced swiftly and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend using them and plan on using them again for emergencies, and home improvement projects. I was quoted to have my kitchen faucet replaced I will write another review once that work is completed.

Love these guys. I have not had a problem with them in 5 years. They have come out for numerous emergencies and fixed every one. Their prices are reasonable and have always been friendly and accommodating.

I think it's a shame that the bad review is listed first here. Last year I had a similar experience with them but this year things are different. I had a leak in my kitchen and I couldn't get my plumber out so I called Star. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it reasonably. The plumber was friendly and knowledgeable and cleaned up. Last night, I got another leak from my 3rd floor and I just called them and they are accommodating my schedule. I'll write a review after the service.

Mitchell at Star Plumbing is the best. He is always available to discuss any situation. Paul is one of his plumbers that has been with him for a while and is very good at what he does and very courteous.I would recommend him for any plumbing job and will use him again.

We had an appointment, which has been set like 4 days before. Cancelled all my meetings at work (very busy), came on time. After 40 min waiting I called them - alas, they decided to cancel our appointment because of some reasons. When we asked - why you did not call? - the answer was unclear and childish, like ""we did not call because we did not call"".
Huge disrespect to other people time.
