You never need a plumber until you need a plumber. Last night when I got home from work I found my old water heater leaking. At the referral of a neighbor I called Stanton Plumbing - she had used them based on reviews on Angie's List and recommended them.
I called about 8 pm and Patrick was here to drain and unhook the old water heater within 40 minutes. We agreed that the old water heater had to go. Patrick connected the house to the cold water and promised to be back this afternoon to install a new water heater.
Today he was back...earlier than he predicted. He had the new water heater and installed it quickly including bringing the configuration up to code.
Patrick was excellent. From his quick response time, to his knowledge about the situation and the product, to his cleaning up after he finished his work, to his absolute commitment to customer service, and to his great sense of humor, he excelled in every way. A water heater is a water heater...you can get one anywhere and get it installed anytime. Patrick's efforts, however, made this an exceptional experience.
Now if I need a plumber I'll know who to call!!

Unbelievable service. Called late last night, and Patrick was here, as promised. He came to install a couple of toilets wax rings and we both noticed some other issues that needed to be addressed. He was able to get that work done as well as the work he came to do and the work is done right. It's sad that is such a great thing because it should be done right, but I could tell he took the time to dial things in correctly. Was expecting it to cost a fortune and it was less than what my wife and I had budgeted for the original work. Thanks Patrick!

Not only did Patrick pick up the phone at 8 PM, he fit us into his schedule within 24 hours. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and made the fix as good as new. Now if that isn't service I don't know what is!

Patrick is an awesome plumber. He replaced two faucets in my bathroom and installed a new kitchen faucet within the last few months. He shows up on time, removes his shoes (I appreciate that as I have white carpeting), and knows exactly how to fix any problem.
What a nice young man who is working so hard in his own business. And he is so polite!
I would definitely recommend him....

The owner, Patrick, saved our day with a new waterheater that he installed professionally, above and beyond code. He had some tricky replacement work because the previous installatin was not done according to code or common sense. We appreciate his prompt service, clear explanation, capable work and reasonable price. When it is time to redo our bathrooms, we will be calling Stanton Plumbing for their share of the work.

My husband and I have used Stanton Plumbing twice now. In one case it was after normal business hours and the other case it was a weekend. Patrick and his wife always answered. They were available under circumstances that many plumbers would not. They of course did great work also, and they stand by the work.
I recommend Stanton Plumbing to anyone.

Called about an audible leak under my house. I called Stanton plumbing after another plumber had issues with some animal droppings near the repair site then recommended a water damage team to clean the area to clear the droppings and potential damage to the structure for added cost of $2900. Thanks but no thanks. The folks at Stanton scheduled an appointment later in the day, a Sunday and Patrick arrived earlier than scheduled, surveyed the damage and offered an hourly rate that was extremely reasonable. He also noticed a potential second problem and included that repair within the hourly rate. He took special precautions with cleanliness and safety covering the path from outside to my crawl space and when the job was done he cleaned the area thoroughly. He even cleaned up after another plumber who had done a similar repair previously who left plastic wrappers and plastic sheeting under my house. I will certainly use Stanton Plumbing again and recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services!

Don't bother. Well, unless you want a cocky, bad-tempered plumber who will schedule appointments with you, only to show up late, or call and re-schedule. Repeatedly. News Flash: It doesn't matter if someone is TALENTED or skillful, if he's self-absorbed and rude. You know those good surgeons who are egotistical, and have bad bedside manners?? Yep, same here. He also forgets certain tools he needs for the job. Skip this guy, and get yourself a plumber who is GOOD, and not rude or bad tempered.

ORDER OF EVENTS: My original post 3/21/15, personal Yelp message (PM) from company rec'd, replied via PM to company, 2nd PM from company rec'd, no further response from me via PM. Later on 04/08/15, company posts comment to original post from 03/21/15.
I am posting this update for future potential customers, as I do not care to have any further exchange with the company (hence my non-reply to their last PM).
PM's are long in length, so will provide you the reader with the start of PM's here and add the remainder to my original post. Truly a company that never sealed the deal, is bitter to honest feedback, and does not provide transparency in information exchange as you will read.
Downgrade from 2 stars to 1 star.
1ST PM REC'D: ""A.P.: We do apologize you feel this way about our customer service. I wanted to write a PM first to explain. Yes we did show up late, at the same time as another plumbing contractor, which is awkward to have competition there at the same time. We did call and inform you multiple times about the appointment time and kept you up to date with our arrival. Patrick did extend a courtesy to the other company to not make it so awkward by showing them the scope. Since we knew you were in a hurry to get the job done, we stated that the phone quote you received was the quote and valid, that if you would like us to do the job please let us know. We did not hear from you so we assumed you went with the other company, though a follow up call should have been made we do apologize that. We did not try to upsell though that is very false. The main reason why we started our company was to be honest and not upsell and give an alternative to clients. We have been in this industry too long and have seen many companies take clear advantage of hard working individuals. Our reputation is honesty through countless other reviews. We showed up and gave you a quote for one plumber to do all the toilets you requested, as well as the shower cartridge. I am a little confused as why you are claiming we upsold you. How did we upsell you in the items you requested? The definition of upselling in the construction industry is telling a client they are in need of something, to make more money when in actuality they are not in need of it.""
1ST 1/2 OF REPLY PM (see updated original post where I will copy and paste remainder of exchange(s): ""Hi. Let me provide some feedback... You were late, which happens. You called (one time, not more than one time), and I gave you credit for the call in my review (indicating ""so no issues there""). You showed up before the other contractor, and I advised you when you arrived (late) that someone else may arrive while you were here as they confirmed that were planning on arriving on time. You said no problem and came in to start the estimate. I understand it may have been awkward, but that is why I advised you in advance. here again is my confusion... if it was that awkward, then why would you just not leave? You actually walked the other person through the estimate. You even knew the person from the other company, and you both exchanged hello's. The conversation you are mentioning about the phone quote being valid and to let you know if I wanted to go with you or another company is false, 100% false. Over the phone, I was given 2 quotes (one for labor and parts only if I purchased my own toilets and one if I purchased two suggested toilets from you directly). This was fine I accepted the the quote, but I also wanted a quote for my shower valve and was told one could not be given over the phone, and in-person estimate would have to be done. Hence, the appointment was set for the same day for the estimate and at that time we discussed and confirmed that there may be a chance upon review of my toilet issue that the price may be different if it was determined a repair alone could do the job, etc. During the in-person estimate, at NO time was the phone quote ever discussed. Instead, upon review of all troubled items, you did the math in your head to advise of how much it would cost for 1. parts (up-selling me for very expensive toilets, after I advised what my budget was, saying the samples I showed from my cell phone from my shopping experience earlier in the day were ""crap"") and 2. labor for everything would be 1.5 hours (which was less time than what was quoted on the phone). Also, at NO time did you ever ask me to let you know if I wanted to go with you in-person, because I was the one that asked and repeated my request to email me the final quote (vs. math in your head). You took my email address and put it in your phone. You never emailed me a quote. You lost the job because of this. You should never assume someone is going with someone else, that is poor on your end. You never know what the final deciding factor is for a customer until they say yes or no. I had advised that I will review your quote and that of

Confirmed appointment, showed up on time, professional, honest, completed work and cleaned up after his work. Absolutely would highly recommend him. Also was very knowledgeable about higher end fixtures.
