Chris was a great tech. Worked quickly to resolve the problem and explained it all thoroughly with a clear expertise.

Had a technician come out this past Sunday because our AC went out. He poked around for a bit outside went up in the attic to look at the coil. He told us we needed a new coil or a new system. That it didn't pay to put Freon in cause it's just running straight out. Recommended a professional sales guy to come out and give us a quote and that they would get back to me the next day. I called the next day and have the sales guy comes out, he also pokes around and goes up in the attic. Then tells us that a new system for our upstairs unit would be 9K as he recommended replacement of everything. Called another company to come out and that tech was here about 30 minutes and found the actual problem. We had a new roof installed and someone nailed thru the pvc pipe. He soldered the hole and fixed the issue. With new Freon cost me $800 for the fix. He also said our coil was under warranty because it was from 2018, that if we had replaced the coil or system it wouldn't have fixed the issue at all because they weren't going to replace the pipes. Stan's seems to be only out for unnecessary sales versus figuring out the issue.

UPDATE After speaking to a manager, he was quick to understand my frustration. He agreed that the technician should have been able to look further into the wiring issue on the thermostat. He refunded the charge and thanked me for the feedback so they could make improvements on their end of the service. I appreciated the great costumer service to make this right. I was able to find another company to fix the thermostat and I'm enjoying my AC again!

Saw water dripping outside the house from the soffit (secondary) drain line. Called Stan's and they were quick to respond and sent a technician same day. The technician was quick to diagnose that our main drain line was clogged at the "T" joint under our upstairs bathroom sink. The clog was promptly cleared. There was some water collected in the drain pan under the AC unit -- that was cleared too. My only gripe is the cost. It cost about $400 to clear out the clog + clear out the water in the drain pain + diagnosis. Not undermining the good work that was done, I feel the issue and the effort required in my case wasn't that complicated to cost $400. It should have been prorated based on complexity. I will admit that the technician did quote me the price after diagnosing the problem and asked if I was OK with the pricing before proceeding to fix. So I was under no obligation. I was just desperate to have the problem fixed!

I've been in Austin 17 years and have hand many different A/C companies out to my properties. Stan's Heating and Air is a different bread. Marshall was my technician last out from Stan's, and in all my years he was the best technician I've seen. Not only did Marshall do the most thorough inspection I've seen. He was extremely professional and helped to no end when he explained the issues I was having. The problem was just more ac refrigerant and possible the coils being covered in debris. The last two guys from Stans missed this. I can't thank Marshall enough!

new installation went smoothly and was happy with service. happy until they mention it costs $100 to come out and look at the less than 2 year unit when it breaks down. that information should've been provided upfront and not ignored when discussing the warranty.

I've only been working with Stan's heating and air conditioning for 3 hours and I like the way they are doing business. From scheduling to the initial inspection to the parts department and back to scheduling the repair, it has been smooth, professional and affordable. Stay tuned for the repair.

I give them two stars for being responsive. But their pricing is simply not competitive. Also their services did not meet my needs as I was asking for things related to a remodel as well as a quote for normal service. And it seems strange that they would install a tankless water heater but refused to Accommodate replacing my toilet and moving the waste drain line. I also needed to replace the sink with the New supply lines and a faucet, But they wouldn't even give me a quote. I also asked them to give me a quote to replace my Shower faucet mechanism as it has been corroded Do the mineral deposits. Again, no quote was provided.
Lastly, they showed me a quote for the tankless water heater and then they said they sent the email but I've never received it. I asked if they would price match and they couldn't confirm they would or wouldn't. I asked if I could choose my own tankless water heater as theirs seemed to be a bit pricey ($7K), and that was a negative. They also mentioned I'd have to get an electrician to install power prior to the job, as that wasn't part of their work.
I consider this company to simply be predatory.

Steve was fast, knowledgeable and friendly. New water heater installed right away. Highly recommended!
