Stan is definitely the man when it comes to all plumbing issues! This isn't the first time he has saved us...we called him for a gas pipe leak back in 12/2013. There isn't anyone else out there I would trust but him. He is knowledgeable and very honest. Woke up yesterday morning to a backed up 1st floor toilet, shower & sink that continually worsened as the day went by. Called Stan and he came right away and worked very hard to get my plumbing back in working order. I am one HAPPY customer!!! Thanks so much Stan we only trust u with our plumbing!!!!

Stan was quite literally, the man! We had a back up causing our top floor shower and washing hook ups to push water through our bottom floor toilet, causing some pretty bad overflows on our brand new floors! Stan called back within the hour (mind you I called at 9pm) and had availability to come that night or first thing the next morning. We chose the next morning, and he was there, as promised, and fixed the issue. I will point out that not only did he fix a different issue than we though the problem was, we asked him if he should proactively fix a different issue (the main line) and instead of charging us for something that did not need to be done, he gave us an honest answer and stayed with his current evaluation of the problem. I would trust Stan back at our house any day, and will be calling him if we ever have a future need (but I hope not!!).

Stanley came highly recommended and I am so glad I listened. He came out of his way to help us with an emergency leak in our upstairs bathroom that was going down to our first floor. He was quick, yet thorough in his assessment, was able to get the parts needed immediately and fix the problem the same day. He was very professional, reasonably priced, and very nice to work with. I will definitely call him again if/when we need him!

Stanley went way above and beyond to replace my hot water heater. He was the only plumber who responded quickly to my phone call on a Sunday and the only one who could replace the water heater the next day. When he arrived I told him I was interested in a high-efficiency heater and he then proceeded to go to at least three dealers to find one that was rated highly enough to allow me the city rebate. He was courteous, efficient and neat, and he took the time to explain the differences in water heaters, showed me what had to be replaced and what did not in terms of pipes, straps, etc. I would hire him again for any plumbing needs.

Well, Stanley... You only get one star for false advertising on your answering machine. It's 11 o'clock at night and I called many plumbers on yelp. No one had an emergency number and we have an emergency. Water all over the floor from our tankless water heater here in Redwood City. When I dialed your number I was so hopeful because your answering machine clearly said you would call back in five minutes. It is now 11:43 PM and I have yet to receive any call from you. Water sadly continues to spray from our tankless water heater pro flo expansion tank. If only your answering machine had said ""no one is available to take your call. Leave your name and number."" like all the rest of the plumbers. There are no emergency plumbers anymore sadly. Just drain cleaners like Roto Rooter and they do not do tankless water heaters.

Got home after a really long day at work to find my water service shut off at the street. Cal Water Service had tried to contact me but the leak was so bad they finally turned the service off completely. Called Stanley S and he came right out. Stanley not only helped me find the problem, he adjusted his Saturday personal time with his kids to get the leak fixed for me. He's helped me several times over the years, always efficient, always a fair price, and very good about explaining how everything works and what he is doing. I would recommend Stanley to anyone!

Stanley repaired our main pipe that goes to the street with thoroughness and at the lowest price of my 4 estimates in February 2014.

I don't usually go with the lowest price. Other plumbers had tried to convince me to do the work without permits using different materials than called for by code, said they would have to charge a lot more to come back for the inspections if done to code, or were a LOT higher in cost to start. We are in the county, and I prefer doing work with permits.

He did a great job, and part of it in the rain. Two days, and it was done. Permit signed.

January 2015: Just called him about my water heater, and he said he'd be by within two hours.

Well, my water heater was 18 years old and needed to be replaced. The average life is 8-10 years I'm told. He gave me a price and acknowledged that I might want to check another plumber. I asked if he'd wait while I called. Called another highly rated yelp company who gave me the same price range over the phone. In the second company's reviews, it often says their prices are higher than quoted once completed.

Stan does work with a smile. He does it well and quickly. I appreciate knowing people with whom I can do repeat business.

Stan is a great guy. He has done several jobs for us, ranging from fixing tiny leaks, putting in a new main to the street. He always does a fantastic job!

These guys deserve 0 stars. I called and the service techs where terrible, they cut corners and did sloppy work. They are without a doubt a very dishonest company. The guy answering the phone was rude and kept asking questions as if I was the expert! I needed them to just figure it out and fix this'd work NOT me.. if you are looking for a low quality in-friendly, dishonest company call Stanley S Plumbing and you can report them to the Better Business Bureau like we did.

I contacted for service. Was advised that they are not taking any new customers and then proceeded to hang up on me while I was still talking. Very rude. I work in a customer service position and am appalled that a business would behave this way on the phone.
