We called Stanley plumbing to come out and discuss a maintenance contract and quote replacement of a hose bib. They showed up on time but his quote was really high and he kept trying to push a bunch of other expensive work on us that we didn't want. We ended up getting what we thought was a great deal on a service agreement with them only to have them take our money but fail to show up for appointments 4 times. 3 of the 4 appointment they just never showed or never called. I finally gave up trying to get them out for an inspection and asked for my money back. For 2 weeks they keep giving me excuses saying they are too busy to talk to the owner about our refund. At this point we have no choice but to pursue through the courts to get our money back. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money by calling someone who will actually do the work they promise and not just take your money and give you the run around.

Employee sent to start the project was here for most of the day, but didn't get much of anything done. Owner was nice initially, but then there was a problem and he had a bit of a meltdown/tantrum, inviting me to sue him. Horrible way to treat a customer and very unprofessional.

Had a clogged toilet. Didn't think it was an easy repair,. They had to take the toilet off to get to the trap. So, it was all labor. For 11/2 hrs work $675.00!!,, My sister is a big time at tourney and that's her hourly fee. Guess I'll get into plumbing school if it pays that much.... Don't recommend. I checked with our local Plummer that we've used for years ( who were unavailable for 2 days)

and the total price of the same service would be $164.00. They said I'd been ""had"". On checking back with the company, they stated since my husband paid it they ""were sorry"". Unless you get an up front estimate that you think is fair, do not trust these guys. No one should have to pay a plumber $675.00 for an hour & half of labor

Technician was polite and prompt. I was happy to get an estimate before he started the work, even though it seemed high, but I wanted my sink unclogged. It seemed simple enough. Unfortunately though, the job became more complicated: We were going to need to cut through a wall and then look at our options. The fees got larger and larger without a good idea of what the problem was! Since I had agreed to the original fee I paid it, but I felt taken advantage of. Not a good experience. Another plumber came over later and was able to solve the problem without cutting a hole in my wall. I paid him happily.

Service provider was friendly and technically proficient, However, my issue is the billing. There was an service call fee of $160 (quoted 150-not sure where the extra 10 came from). I was actually ok with that as it was Saturday early afternoon when I called. I am accustomed to the service call fee including first 30-60 minutes of labor or something similar. It took 45 minutes to fix issue (no parts needed) and I was charged $290 (quoted 275- not sure where extra $25 came from). So, for 45 minutes I was charged $450. I was then told after calling that if the job takes five minutes its $275 its just how we do it and people in Front Royal VA are happy. Well, I can assure you that I am not happy and will be looking elsewhere for my plumbing needs,- felt taken advantage of!

I have now had the experience of the second visit and again the quality of work and customer service is unmatched by any other company. The serviceman turned up quickly and was able to locate and fix our plumbing issue in less than 20 mins. They have very skilled and knowledgeable experts. I look forward to Stanley Plumbing fixing all our plumbing needs.

Stanley Plumbing Angie's list stating they would perform a service call for $69. I purchased the $69 coupon. They had to replace a $20 cartridge on a Moen faucet and they charged $200 on top of the service call. When I complained to the owner he stated ""to read the fine print"". They are unprofessional and they will overcharge you.

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR OFFERS ON ANGIE'S LIST.

Plumber ran ad on Angie's list stating they would fix leaks in outdoor faucets for $99, claiming it was a $260 value. I purchased the $99 coupon and when they came to fix the plumbing, I would told that the fix would cost $365 as it was a different fix than the one advertised. They claimed that there was small print in the coupon stating that 'threaded' repairs weren't covered. Well, I am not a plummer, so the small print was Greek to me. Not only did Stanley plumbing bait me into using their very expensive service, but one of the plummers called me 'Sweetie' multiple times during their time in my home. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR OFFERS ON ANGIE'S LIST. Just being on Angie's list doesn't remove the requirement for Buyer Beware.

Stanley Plumbing saved us in a jam. After calling 4 different plumbing companies trying to get a new hot water heater installed we gave Stanley Plumbing a call and they saved the day...a Saturday at that. We called first thing at 7 am and had a new hot water heater in that same afternoon. They were kind and courteous and they will be our first call on any plumbing projects we need done in the future.
