I was asked by a local restaurant to find filters for a water system. I went to Standard where Jay helped me at the counter.
He went way beyond what he had to do especially when its became clear what getting the parts entailed. He found the supplier, called them & found the parts with part numbers which was no easy task.
Jay then told me Standard couldnt get the parts directly but explained how we could. He added that if we had problems let him know.
If you want service along with the materials you need Standard is the place while being rare these days.

My wife and I are handicapped and need a high toilet to be able to get up and down unassisted.We looked at home depot and lowes and were told we had to order one and wait for shipping. well our toilet needed replacing right away. Called Standard and WOW no waiting and a fantistic Price for the new toilet and tank and seat. Now I'm not writing this to praise things being in stock (they ARE) and not for the Remarkable Prices (they are) but let me explain---
when I paid for the toilet we had to get my wife's kids to pick it up on a saturday, they got the wrong size toilet (mistakes happen) the boys didn't compair the order to what they picked up (mistake on our part).
Thw wife and I wer at a funeral when the boys installed the new toilet so no one noticed it was too small at that point. When she sat on it Saturday evening couldn't get up. Well it was Sunday at this point and I went to CVS and bought a Toilet Riser seat. This was not comfortable at all so on Monday I was sent to see what to do about the situation.
HERE'S the result.
We got the right Toilet, 2 O rings (as they and I didn't know which one we needed) and the sealant. NO charge and do what we want the the smaller toilet. This company is Fantastic for customer service!!! the new toilet is Wonderful!!1 their Staff are Complete Angels!

I was definitely worried about how I was going to fix my shower water mixing valve and the part behind it but I went to standard plumbing and boy was it an experience. Obviously being the know it all never seen a piece of plumbing before in my life, I walked in and thought I knew exactly what I needed, and a guy who I talked to on the phone met me and told me what I ACTUALLY needed and WHY I needed it! Jay was super nice and super helpful! Then as I left saying I didn't need a receipt, I realized after I got home that I did in fact need a receipt and called jay back up. He said no problem and emailed it to me in less than 10 minutes! So helpful, so nice, definitely would go again.

Let me tell you about this fricken toilet fiasco my wife and I have been going through. First, since nothing is ever in stock at any of the big box stores here in town - we ordered the one we want from Home Depot. It took over two weeks to come in. When it finally did come in, it was delivered damaged. HUGE chunk of porcelain cracked off the side of the bowl. We returned it and got our refund. I had to go home and re-order it again. We waited ANOTHER two weeks only to be sent an e-mail advising the model we wanted was now out of stock with no ETA for additional stock. Fine. Amazon had it in stock, but despite being a Prime member - I was reluctant about ordering this from a place I could not immediately take it back to if it, indeed, was delivered damaged like the first one from the Depot. As my luck would have it, a huge box was sitting on our porch. I picked it up and thought - Wow, either I'm in significantly better shape than I thought or this thing is really light! The bowl was delivered perfectly, but those losers didn't ship the tank! (2-piece toilet) I called up Amazon and they said they couldn't just ship me the tank. I would have to return the bowl and they would have to send me another bowl (with hopefully) the tank in stow. Fuck it. I was tired of dealing with this. This whole fiasco had now gone on longer than 6 weeks. Who in the hell thought it would have been this difficult to get a fricken toilet?!?!?

I did some searching on Yelp and Google and came across Standard Plumbing Supply. They open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays. My wife and I stopped there this morning. Brett was so incredibly helpful and awesome!! I bought the Cadillac of Kohler thrones. Not only were their prices fair and comparable to the big box stores, but their customer service is second to none AND they had the toilet in stock! It was such a novel concept! I paid and loaded the toilet into our car today! It was crazy! The only regret I have is not coming here in the first place! *grr!* Regardless, they have plenty of everything in stock and if you need to do a bathroom re-model or need a quick replacement of a part, these guys are going to be my one-stop shop moving forward. I absolutely love supporting local businesses!! Thank you to Brett and everyone else at Standard Plumbing Supply! I can't wait to eat some Del Taco and put this new throne through the ringer!

This is my go-to plumbing shop. Brett & Jay have supported our remodeling business for years. They provide honest advice and solutions, and quality products. I buy our valves, fixtures, and all the little parts in-between from Standard Plumbing. I send my customers because I don't want them over paying for cheap fixtures. Nothing is more frustrating than leaky plumbing because you always realize it six months too late. Buying quality keeps things dry and functional for years. Don't limit yourself to big box stores, and let yourself be pleasantly surprised.

I ordered parts for a shower. Drain and valves and faucet. Very helpful to show me what they had in stock and to get me what I needed. I will shop here again, since the staff is so patient.

I just bought a house and I'm in the process of remodeling/upgrading. My boyfriend has always shopped at one of the large home stores, but I didn't want to settle for run-of-the-mill products that are ok, but limit your range and type of choices. I had 3 or 4 plumbing supply stores lined up to check out, but didn't make it past the first one I visited; Standard Plumbing Supply. Brett at Standard, Peoria, is the most patient, thorough and informative person I've ever met at similar businesses. He explained why one product was a much better choice than another, answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly and help me choose the best plumbing fixtures for my new home. The difference in the service and the products is amazing. Brett is honest and genuinely cares that you not only get what will make you happy but also get the best bang for your buck. I've had to bring some things back after changing my mind to something else and Brett has taken care of it quickly, patiently and with a smile. I hate shopping. Brett is so pleasant and easy to work with it almost feels as though we are friends. I actually enjoy the shopping process at Standard and plan to go back for more bathroom and kitchen fixtures. If you are tired of difficult sales people who act like they don't have time to be bothered with you and don't help you spend the time it takes to locate the perfect fixture for the best price go to Standard Plumbing Supply. You will be extremely happy you did!

This place is great! Was hesitant ordering from here and not a Lowes or Home Depot but decided since the prices were better and Staff was friendly. Jay and Brett have excellent customer service! Jay was really patient with me and all my questions and helped me figure out the exact things I needed for our project.
I would say some items took a bit longer then they were supposed to but everything came in finally and correctly.
Anytime we need anything like this I will make sure to give this place my business!

Ordered bathroom shower and tub faucets totaling $1600+ on 6/9/16 and as of this post, still have not received them. I cannot believe anyone could work around a delivery time like that. I went down tuesday 6/28 and checked to make sure they did not lose my paperwork, was told this time frame is normal. While i do not believe the company is jerking me around, how can it take so long? Staff is very friendly, however, i would have purchased somewhere else for more money if i knew it would take this long. If contractors are willing to wait that long, and that is truly the time frame for plumbing parts to be delivered, i am very sorry to have written this review.

Called to see if they had 1/4"" tank to bowl bolts. The guy that answered the phone refused to check and see if they had the correct size. His suggestion was that I just drive over and check for myself. Not much help...Lowe's here I come!!!
