Bill from S&S was fantastic! When he came for the initial estimate, he was honest and forthright with his suggestions as to what I needed, but most importantly what I didn't need. He didn't try to up sell me on the improvements I thought I needed, which I appreciate as a novice homeowner.
His whole crew was professional and courteous of my time and home. They replaced my old boiler and installed a new energy efficient top of the line one. They covered all of the floors in my hallways to prevent damage and dirt. Four guys brought up my old rusty boiler from the basement that weighed about 750 lbs! They arrived on time and quoted a competitive price. Super happy with the whole job they did that I just hired them again to renovate my second bathroom.

Came to house to fix a faucet that was running low pressure cold water. Finished but now hot water was extremely low pressure. Charged $165 plus $21 for parts. Said to me you should think about replacing faucet. When called and complained about faulty repair the owner said we told you the faucet had to be replaced. Not true only said it in passing after I signed a
The bill. Bought new faucet and charged me again to install. What a rip off. Beware and read carefully before you sign anything. Totally protect your ass notes on the bill. Will never use again. Lost a good customer by parsing words and PYA notes on bill

Called on a Sunday morning. Within 1 hour plumber at our house in Miller Place. He was courteous and professional. He fixed the problem. I now can say I know a good plumber. Highly recommend.

Bill is a true professional and did a wonderful job.

Our project was to run water (trenching and water lines) from our home to our horse barn. In the horse barn he installed a shower in the horse wash stall, a hot water heater in our tack room, a sink and drains. Outside the barn he installed 3 hydrants.

His work was excellent and we would recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing work.

I was referred to S & S by my neighbor in Coram. Needed to replace an outside faucet which required turning off circuit breaker, disconnecting + moving the dishwasher, cutting a section of sheetrock. Total time within an hour at cost $350. This was done in Nov. 2013. Now in Jan 2014 the kitchen pipes froze and the pipe leading from the outside faucet at a bend breaks. Fortunately, I was home when the water began to flood the kitchen. I quickly shut off the main water control to the house. S &S was very prompt in getting to my house. I emphasized that the pipes needed to be insulated as they run along the outside - poorly insulated wall. Edde/Frank came. Both work together well. My issue: thoroughness AND PRICE . . . Perhaps the pipe break could have been prevented if insulation was put on at the time of the faucet work. Eddie did call my attention to a rust spot on my electric water heater. Turns out (after S & S removed it) was quite extensive on the bottom of the heater. The price - including senior ""discount"" for replacing electric water heater (Rheem PROE40 2 RH92) and fixing/insulated broken pipe was $1600. I was told that $200 was reduced since I had the work done at the same time. I feel the pricing is high. I checked online regarding the cost of the electric heater - quite a range from $250(ebay) $350(plumbing supply) to $550 retail. Math: $325 (pipe) + $550 + install + $1600. After I agreed to the work I went the bank for approx. 45 minutes to get cash and when I got home the new heater was nearly installed. Also, I paid cash to avoid tax. Doesn't seem like a reduction of any sort for multiple jobs. That install was COSTLY!!!

I will call Alexis to discuss. (I am a senior and not wealthy.) Is there a consideration for customer loyalty? In addition, Eddie come to check on another problem in Dec. The flow control on the bathroom hot faucet was somehow off? and no water came through. It took Eddie 5 seconds to diagnosis and fix, but cost me the call to the house - $101.00 with tax. UGH! It pays to go on u-tube for home issues that the owner could take care of.

I wish there was an option for 6 stars!! I was fortunate to have Bill, Alexis and the team at S&S Plumbing and Heating referred to me by a colleague and they were terrific! Simply put, S&S Plumbing came to my house and provided an estimate for work on a master bathroom remodel. Bill quickly provided a comprehensive estimate for the cost of the work and the time it would take to complete the work. They came in and did what they said they would do and they completed it when they said they would. Not only that, they provided an extra set of eyes on our remodel and approached their work in a consultative manner. They offered suggestions and improvements that enhanced our remodel. The most important information I can pass along is that S&S Plumbing exceeded our expectations throughout our entire remodel. The finished product is amazing and the quality of their work cannot be beat! S&S Plumbing and Heating provides quality, professional services!
