Brad showed up 15 minutes early and was very courteous and professional and got to work immediately inspecting my HVAC system. He made suggestions for maintenance and improvements upon my Heating and Air Conditioning and added an Advanced environmental air treatment system. And he also gave me a new thermostat by my request which is a big improvement on the old one and works by Wi-Fi as well! Brad did a 5 star job and went above and beyond the call of duty! I found the employee introduction about Brad to be very informative and a nice touch. But, if I were an employee of a company, I really would not want that much information released about me! But then again, I work Emergency Department and death threats are not uncommon there! I will continue to do business with this business because of professional and hard working employees like Brad!

I have used S&S for 2 years now for my rental properties in St George as well as my residence. They are excellent in every way. They are very responsive, very skilled and will recommend things to do to extend the life of especially your air conditioning systems which don't cost a lot but actually perhaps may hurt their maintenance hours over the long term. What they want are happy customers and they don't care if their recommendations cause them to lose a few hours a year. I would not go anywhere else after using a few of the other companies in the area. BTW, their technicians are very well trained, certified and personable.

I had a Routine inspection and chose some preventative measures. My bill was over $2800. I screwed up not doing my homework and just trusted their process...that's on me. Don't make the same mistake and pay more than you need to for a job.

I have been using S&S Mechanical for many years for both rental property and my residence. They have done everything from standard maintenance to installing a new HVAC on the roof of a rental property. Most recently they were at my residence to perform regular maintenance as the cooler weather approaches. The tech was very professional and thorough. He did try to up sell me on several services while here including, duct cleaning, air conditioning the garage to putting some sort of Mylar material in the attic for better insulation. He went so far as to video the dirt in the air handler up in the attic. I did ask for a written quote which came in at $640 for the ducts and $266 for the air handler in the attic. It is something that I should have done as when I change the filters I can see all the dust, but thought this price was way high. Did do some internet research that says the National average is $35/duct. I have 13 including the two returns which puts that price at $455. Guess I'll need to shop around. Plenty of YouTube video which shows the process as well as how to beware of scammers. All in all I will continue to use S&S. Maintenance charge was $89 on a four year old system. I took one star off as I called weeks prior to make an appointment and was told I would get an email to confirm the appointment. Never received it. Called the day before and I wasn't even on the list for service. They did accommodate me at the time originally scheduled.

I regretted Hiring S & S Mechanical from the beginning. I hired S&S Mechanical to replace the air conditioner and blower motor in July 2016. A crew came in early in the morning to install the condenser and coils. The technician that was supposed to finish the job in the afternoon never showed. I was told he would be there first thing in the morning. He never showed. When I finally received a callback from S&S I was told that the technician was on another job and would arrive in 2 hours. When he finally did arrive, he did not look well, but he finished the job and left. I was told by another employee that he was fired soon after because he was a heroin addict.
Fast forward to Fall, 2017. A technician from S&S comes to do the Fall checkup. While doing the tune-up the motor and board were shorted, because the original installer left an unused, bare wire uncapped in the attic. The next day, a new motor and board were installed.
In May, 2018, the circuit breaker started tripping occasionally when the motor would try to run. There were 7 visits from technicians to my home between May and September, all with different reasons why the breaker was tripping. During this time the thermostat was replaced, settings on the thermostat were changed, the wiring was moved to a new breaker, the ground on the thermostat was fixed, a loose wire on the motor was tightened, a safety switch was bypassed, but still the breaker would trip. The technician then recommended that a 30 amp breaker be put in. For safety reasons, I hesitated to do this without knowing why an 8 amp motor, that for nearly 24 months had not tripped the breaker, was suddenly doing so. I hired a 50-year journeyman electrician to investigate and he found that on occasion the motor would draw 25 amps on startup. It most often would ramp up the amperage slowly, but occasionally it would draw enough amperage to trip the breaker. This was a high-quality Azure ECM motor. I was again told by the technician to just put in a larger breaker even though there was no explanation why it had not happened the previous 2 years.
I explained to S&S what the electrician had discovered, and they finally agreed to replace the motor under warranty. On the day of installation, I'm informed that it would not be under warranty, and I would incur a charge of $600 for the motor. I insisted that they replace the motor under warranty and they finally relented. The air conditioning is now working 5 months later.
I have discovered during this time that there appears to be a revolving door of technicians employed by the company. The technicians that visited my home had only been employed by S&S for a few months, and none more than 2 years. It is my opinion that it must not be a good working environment.

These people came to my house, charged me $125 to diagnose the problem with my a/c. And when they left it was worse than when they came. I had cold air when they got there now my a/c won't turn on at all. I've called them several times they keep telling me the technician will call me back. No one has called. The customer service is TERRIBLE. I've asked to speak to the owner, Cory, he won't call me back either. Um, don't use these guys they are horrible. I highly DO NOT recommend them
