We called GEI because we didn't have hot water on one side of our house. 2 plumbers came out and I directed them to the attic which is where our gas hot water heater is. He said the heater was off and he "pressed the button to turn it back on". The plumber tried to get me to replace the entire water heater (which was just purchased last year) or pay them $400 to flush it. I declined and paid the bill but an hour later we tried the water and it wasn't hot. I called to let the owner know who merged the tech on the phone. I asked if he just "pressed" the button or if he waited for the heater to be lit & he assured me it was lit but must've just went out ..then he started to talk to me like I didn't understand how the tank works. I told him I'd check it myself which made him say he could come back out instead. We declined ! I went into the attic myself and of course it wasn't lit. We did it ourselves and found a more reputable company to flush the tank for $100. This company will try to get you to spend tons of money and not even address your original issue. I wish I saw these reviews before I even called.

GEI Plumbing wanted to charge me $400.00 to replace the wax ring on a toilet. I sent them on their way. The next day I had the entire toilet replaced and the labor was $100.00. I advise people to shop around.

Never use this company.
Owner is very rude and then calls and calls and calls to ask why we will never use them again. Find a reputable plumber not a fly by night group.
Way over priced and person that comes out to bid the work, does not do the work nor inform their employees what needs to be done.
They also do not have an address to send the bill, nor get a copy of the invoice. Less than a half hour of work for just under $700.00.
One star is too high. Don't expect a paper invoice. Doubt they have a printer.

The service was Very Very good. The appointment was delayed, but they notified me of the issues and kept me informed. The work was performed by a very good technician and it was very satisfactory. The Boss came at the end to ensure the work was completed and satisfactory. I told him I was very happy with the service and would use his company in the future. I will definitely use them again.

They showed up on time but told me it was $275 to find a water leak in my kitchen.Found the leak fairly quick outside under eave and had a small crack in cpvc They replaced the elbow in 10 min. and told me it was going to be $750 total. Wow...better be ready to spend some big money when you do business with them. I will know better next time. Ted B. 1/17/24. Yes it's too bad these company's have to take advantage of their customers during a freeze in houston,I thought price gouging was a no no.The part they replaced was $2 at the hardware store.

I called out GEI plumbing last week and they ran a snake through my kitchen sink drain and said it was fixed,charged me $325, it only took about 5 days before my sink was plugged again. Called them out to clear the plugged sink and they told me that they needed to put a camera down the drain for $200, they also said that if the camera showed that there's no break in the piping then they would charge me $750 to send a sprayer down the pipe, thought I was getting screwed around For a simple plug in my kitchen sink, talked to the manager in the office and he would not let me get a word in and was very loud and rude to me explaining that he had 15 years of experience and I didn't know as much as he did, made me fell like I didn't know anything about what he was talking about, very bad customer service, never would use or recommend them for any kind of business

I have used their services several times and for every single call, their office always answered in the timely manner. They also sent the technician out to estimate and to quote quickly. They didn't mind to spend time to explain the situation and how they fixed the problem. And, foremost, they didn't charge me hefty prices as other guys did. I strongly recommend their services.

Guy the "manager" was extremely unprofessional. He doesn't let the client speak and doesn't take the time to address the client's concerns or to answer the client's questions. The on-site plumbers require signatures for work being done without clearly explaining what they are going to do. The on-site plumbers claimed to have sent the work orders to me, the client company's general manager, but did not. The on-site plumbers refused to give the onsite manager a copy of the virtual authorization she signed stating again that it was sent to me, the general manager. I have yet to receive a copy of the work authorization. They charged us $275 to dig a couple of feet to find the break in the pipe and $575 to glue an existing 3/4 inch 90 elbow. They said the elbow had not been glued and had slipped off. They just had to glue it back. These people are thieves. I cannot believe they have such high ratings on any platform.

Really Amazing service !
They showed up on time , were very responsive , the technician is very knowledgeable and nice .
Compared to 2 other companies their price was better - overall I am very happy with the job quality and would definitely use them again.

All my years dealing with service companies this is the worse company by far.

I did call GEI Plumbing Services for a block kitchen sink; they came and told me my pipe is broken and I should pay them $14999.50 for the repair. Before that they charged me $375 for the first deposit of $750 which I paid. The manager called me and was very rude saying that if I do not pay them $14999.50 to repair the broken pipe then I must pay them the remaining $375 for coming to my house, if not I am going to pay three times that amount. I decided that before I made the payment, I called in another plumbing company to assess the problem. The company came and told me that my pipe was not broken, that GEI Plumbing Services does not know what they are saying, they even asked me if they showed me pictures of the broken pipe, I said they did not. The company ended up unblocking the sink and ran a camera through the pipe showing that there was no broken pipe. I then called the manager of GEI Plumbing Services and again the manager was very rude, he said he had the pictures of the broken pipe, but he will not show them to me. All my years dealing with service companies this is the worse company by far, this is a very dishonest company, if you are employing their services, it is at your own risk.
